What do you like best about PeopleGrove?

It is user friendly for the staff building pages and from the alumni and students. They have been responsive and helped us customize the SSO for students alumni and faculty staff. What do you dislike about PeopleGrove?

There is no way to get the data out of people grove in a manner that allows you to update your crm. The user update reports shows both what is updated by the alumni and what we have updated through the import tool and there is no way to distinguish these to set up imports into our crm - RENXT Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about PeopleGrove?

Our partnership with PeopleGrove allowed us to launch a full university online community within months, and has grown with us over the last three years. We are easily able to modify and update registration questions, build new affinity groups, and message out to constituencies. Over our time with them, PeopleGrove has also built in new features that better respond to the networking needs of our students, alumni, and campus community, and continues to evolve along with online community building. What do you dislike about PeopleGrove?

Alumni relations is an area of university affairs that relies on customization, consistent messaging, and personalization. Getting this right in a rapid software environment can be challenging. What do you like best about PeopleGrove?

What do you dislike about PeopleGrove?

In a tight budget year, I do have to justify the costs to my senior leadership. However, I do feel the platform features, amazing tech support and provided training and community features give this great bang for the buck. I appreciate the attractive features to query/search, the smooth LinkedIn integration so as not to require a new profile build, and the strong analytics at your fingertips in the admin. What do you like best about PeopleGrove?

As mentioned above, my favorite part about our partnership is the collaboration with the PG staff.

On the platform, I love being able to see instant stats on my dashboard when I log in and I LOVE how easy the Bulk Email function is. You can create and set up multiple email templates and drafts and schedule them to go out weeks in advance, freeing up time for other things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PeopleGrove?

As an art & design school, we wish we had more control over the design and look of our platform. With that being said, setting up our platform was super easy and fast.

Our implementation process took much longer than expected, and at times I felt frustrated with PG's push to make it happen. In higher ed, things can take much, much longer than planned, and the delay on our end was due to other departments not completing their tasks. I was, unfortunately, stuck in the middle, having to push those who are in higher positions to do their job and trying to explain to PG what was going on. At times throughout implementation, I felt a lot of pressure from PG to move forward when I was already trying to do everything I could to move us forward. This was frustrating.

I understand that PG puts an implementation timeline in place for our benefit but also for theirs, and our inability to move forward at their speed meant that one of their employees had to spend more time on us than planned. I appreciated the patience of my implementation manager, but I could also sense her frustration, which I shared. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

PeopleGrove Alumni Success is a robust product, offering a variety of opportunities for alumni community members to network and engage (e.g., Groups, Discussion Boards, Live Chat, etc.). The data import process is particularly impressive as is the reporting tool within Explore Users. What do you like best about PeopleGrove?

The most helpful thing about our Peoplegrove platform is the ease in which our constituents can connect with one another. Through this platform, we went from having to broker all student-alumni connections to giving our students the tool they need to make those connections themselves--on their schedule. And when we do still become involved in connecting them to one another, we can do so with certainty that our constituents on the platform will be responsive -- because it's a large part of why they joined! It's also provided a way in which our alumni can connect more organically with one another.

I also like the back-end admin view which Peoplegrove has improved and continues to improve to make it ever-easier to view pending approval items, message and connection response rate, and community balance. The ability to easily "nudge" non-responders has increased the response rate.

Additionally, Peoplegrove is continually innovating, building new features, and working to ensure the platform is as user friendly and dynamic as possible, while also focus on key areas of success for universities in enrollment management, retention, mentorships, and student success. What do you like best about PeopleGrove?

PeopleGrove was able to help SJSU develop it's online mentoring platform SJSU² Mentoring & Meetups which has helped the university ensure that students are able to achieve career readiness and success through alumni connections. As PeopleGrove develops its product and services, it would help to continue engaging university partners in the development process . As PeopleGrove innovates, continuous communication and consultation about changes with partners would be helpful as there are some earlier features of the platform that are helpful to keep.
