3ds Max Design is packed with very effective 3D modeling and visualization tools that can be used to splendidly render architectural, interior design, and other scenes. My favorite feature is its accuracy and adaptability — mixing CAD files, applying photorealistic materials and lighting, and making high-quality, visually real renders is all totally doable by me. The user interface is quite thorough but still makes sense, and the cross-product usage with other Autodesk tools like AutoCAD and Revit is really great for saving time. Besides that, it’s a great tool for animated sequences and project presentations as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The major disadvantage is that it needs a very strong PC - efficiency may be lowered when there are complicated scenes. Also, the sheer number of tools and options can make it quite difficult for beginners, so one has to go through a learning curve. Moreover, it costs a lot to get a license and a subscription and sometimes there are some bugs happening during export or rendering. Nevertheless, with the mastery of the craft and a good system arrangement, such problems can be subdued and do not lower the final quality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
