**What do you like best about DaySmart Pet?**

I like that DaySmart Pet is very convenient and it makes things a lot easier. You don't have to write anything down because it's all online, which is better for us and the customer.

**What do you dislike about DaySmart Pet?**

I would say the biggest downfall is we do lose connection a lot recently. So it does interfere with collecting payment and stuff like that.

DaySmart Pet helps us manage appointments better and sends reminders to customers, making our job easier and more convenient as everything is online.

**What do you like best about DaySmart Pet?**

Customer service is terrific. They are all USA based and very knowledgeable

**What do you dislike about DaySmart Pet?**

They are very slow to make changes to the software. Suggestions for improvements go nowhere. It is like they never asked an actual pet shop what works best. Sometimes we have to navigate 6-7 screens just to get some info while we have a customer on the phone. There has to be a more efficient way to retrieve basic info. I have volunteered my shop to be a beta location for the programmers to visit.
Another example is this survey. You don't even have my industry listed in the drop down menu. The software is for grooming/boarding/daycare facilities and all you list is Veterinary!

**Recommendations to others considering DaySmart Pet:**

Do your homework and make sure the software will meet all your expectations. Don't rely on Daysmart to make changes to meet your expectations. Those changes may or may not take years to happen. Buy the fastest computer you can buy because you will need it; otherwise the software will be slow to use.

Access to customer info and pet info. Reminders for appointments is the biggest benefit.

**What do you like best about DaySmart Pet?**

This app is very easy to use. Setting up appointments is a breeze and also accessing the website is very convenient. I get appointment request quick and being able to accept or reject them before the client booking is a god send!

**What do you dislike about DaySmart Pet?**

I haven't been able to double book for certain times in blocks and I'm not sure if it's actually the app or if it's the user! Haha I am still learning but I love this app for my clients!

**Recommendations to others considering DaySmart Pet:**

I absolutely recommend this app! If you are a small dog groomer like me it's super easy and convenient. My clients never have any issues booking!

**What problems is DaySmart Pet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Excessive bookings and people booking certain dogs in time slots that I don't have available. Like big dogs in a time slot I only have room for a small dog. I am able to better assist my clients and make sure they are receiving the best care I can provide!

**What do you like best about DaySmart Pet?**

I like how easy it is to use the software. It is easy for both backend when we schedule appointments, and also the front end for our customers online booking. I like that it is specific for pet grooming.

**What do you dislike about DaySmart Pet?**

I honestly do not have a lot of complaints. There are glitches sometimes but we are able to contact support and it is usually resolved quickly.

**Recommendations to others considering DaySmart Pet:**

This software has all features needed for grooming salons and is easy to use both in house and for your customers online.

**What problems is DaySmart Pet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed an easy way to schedule appointments for our clients. With outher software, it did not have details that we needed for dogs. This software already has all the breeds programmed in and has all the fields needed to get accurate information to be prepared for their appointment.

**What do you like best about DaySmart Pet?**

Texting, email marketing, online booking, photo profiles. Would love to have online new pet forms added with signature capture so we can go paperless! :)

**What do you dislike about DaySmart Pet?**

The new layout that is trying to be integrated. I liked the old one better because it is easier for us to see all of the vital information we need at a glance and works better when you have multiple groomers workng. The new layout puts blocks on top of each other which sucks when you have more than 1 dog coming in at the same time, which is the case almost daily for us. Also not great for multiple locations. Would like a way to keep the calendars for each location separate and be able to switch between the two so its not all on 1 screen. Also not able to set employee permissions for multiple employees without the system buffering endlessly or not saving the changes. Also erases old employees' appointments from calendar and payroll which is a nightmare if someone quits in between pay periods! Would like everything to stay the same in the calendar but without the old employee having access to the system anymore when they are no longer working! We also have an appointment request from someone who no longer works here that wasn't taken off before they quit, so now its just stuck there forever and we can't get rid of it. We should still be able to settle unresolved requests after the employee's account has been deactivated.

The text messaging and appointment reminders have been the biggest help for us, as well as being able to book and charge customers out from the app.

Ability to create a website to book online and merge everything. Plus able to check people out.

**What do you dislike about DaySmart Pet?**

The website is not really easy to create and make more organized. For example, the services might be listed as needed to charge online but on the website it shows everything separate. Also, the merchant system used to check people out that is offer by the company is not ideal and has a lot of connection issues. Really wish square could sync to it. Also issues connecting to Facebook as a button.

Keep everything organized without the paperwork is amazing. I love I can automatically send paperwork to new clients

I like being able to block off time slots so people can't book.

**What do you dislike about DaySmart Pet?**

I don't like that the services require times to be shown online. I have people who are getting dog grooms and add things in like teeth brushing or nail trims, but it shows the add ons after the appointment slot which is confusing.

I would recommend daysmart pet because I like the ability to let my employees have access and the ability for customers to book online.

I've had it freeze on me multiple times or log me out. It's very slow.

The easy scheduling and multiple log-in options I can check in a client no matter where I am because I can access it on so many devices.

**What do you dislike about DaySmart Pet?**

Rescheduling I wish it would automatically rebook for a m entire year. Our clients are long term and we have lost abou 10 this last year because they weren't rescheduled because it only went out 4-6 mo baths automatically and we didn't realize until it was to late.

It's great it can take time to learn and become fluent in all the features but they are very helpful.

It helps us keep better track of taxes and deductions and our calendar for days off is much more up to date.

I love that it has an app that I can use right on my phone whether I am at work or not.  All my information is right in my hands at all times. I also love the reports that I can run.

I would like the app to show the pet's name displayed in the appointment section instead of the client's name.

It helps me know what I charged the customer previously and for what service.

We like Daysmart because it is a all in one system. You can literally do everything from appointments, reminders, retail, daycare, point of sale. It does it all.

I do dislike that it notifies client everytime we move an appointment unless we have it turned off and then the reminders are turned off. I would like to see improvements in the way it communicates with clients.

We have been able to solve the problems of our old system and having multiple books to do everything to now having an all in one system. Yes, it has do to the online booking portal.

Not compatible with google calendars, not useful for group lessons, schedule blocks are difficult, cannot edit recurring time blocks or lessons.

**Recommendations to others considering DaySmart Pet:**

Wait until this company has matured. It's not built for dog training businesses, which is how it was marketed to me. I do enjoy the aesthetic and I'm sad that after 3 months I've "outgrown" the company.

I wanted to be able to schedule my lessons, which I can. Their website isn't great, but I'm hoping to maybe use booking features. Not much has changed with customers relating to Daysmart.

The ease of scheduling and running reports. Also being able to look and/or make changes on your phone and on line scheduling is huge plus.

Not geared Cats at all doesn't give behaviour characterists of cats, with more salons become feline exclusive this is an important feature for us

Not geared for mobile and many clicks to get where you are going. Modifying recurring schedules is tedious at best.

The routing feature needs a way that Admin can see individual emp routes without their passwords.

Take the time to set it up the way you want and things will roll well.

With the recent addition of e-forms, we alleviated a huge need to outsource.

Having everything online and being mobile with the software is great! Not to mention we can check out a couple of people at the same time with our computer and tablet.

Not having Boarding and Daycare options with my grooming business. CardConnect the payment processing service are dishonest and rip people off.

I love the automated reminder system and the easy way my staff has access to records.

**What do you dislike about DaySmart Pet?**

If someone has multiple pets on the same day it sends several reminders with different times.  That's confusing for people.  Also wish there was a way to denote when my staff was working on our mobile services vs in our salon.

Automated reminders is great.  It's easy to communicate with individuals and with groups.

Still waiting for a waitlist after nearly 10 months.

My favourite part of the software is how organized it keeps things. The reports are very helpful for tracking business growth.

I bought the software outright instead of paying a monthly fee. I bought a new computer for which my version was out dated. I had to pay more for my upgrade than I paid to purchase the program originally. WAY MORE.

The program keeps track of everything! It is user friendly and well laid out. It keeps all your important client, pet, business and payroll info in one place.

**What do you like best about DaySmart Pet?**

We have been using this software for over seven years.  It was perfect when we first bought it in 2011.  It was easy to use and worked exactly how we needed it to work.  This is no longer the case and it is now costing us time and money instead of saving it...

**What do you dislike about DaySmart Pet?**

Most of our customers have standing reservations for daycare and also buy packages.  You can no longer schedule out their reservations and pull from their package.  It counts future dates against the package so you cannot add an additional day if requested and pull from the package.  It charges them full price and there is no way to change it unless you start deleting future days and then it just becomes a nightmare.  Scheduling is the main function of this software and it does not do what it needs to do to run a successful daycare!  So now we have to manually re-enter every single appointment every single day (over 60 dogs/appointments per day).  What used to take 15 minutes now takes over one hour.  Now this week it suddenly is showing that customers have negative days so it is no longer alerting us that the customer has used up their package and are due for a new one!  That is money out the door!!   Also, basic things like viewing tickets used to be so easy and now you have to make numerous clicks just to get to what you want to view.  Even though we just paid for an upgrade, we are researching other software companies and are willing to pay again for one that works.  The stress of switching over to a new software program is worth not having to deal with the every day stress of 123 Pet!  We have been using this software longer than their reps have worked there and know more about it than they do, so they're of no help.  We do not recommend this product, look elsewhere!

Do not buy this product!

Nothing is being solved and it is only creating more problems.  Also, their customer service reps have clearly not had training in customer service.  You will hang up even more frustrated than you already were.  They are rude and have no understanding of how important this software is to your business.  One of the managers actually uttered the words, "What is the big deal anyway?" Unacceptable!

There are many facets to this program. It does so many different things and definitely helps us maintain organization.

**What do you dislike about DaySmart Pet?**

It’s a little chaotic. There are some things we can’t fix like returning a product to a customer at the discounted price they paid instead of full price.

**What do you like best about DaySmart Pet?**

The website and marketing around the software is very good, they clearly spend more time trying to sell you this rubbish software than they do actually making it good. 

**What do you dislike about DaySmart Pet?**

Very poor customer service. No support or follow up calls. Many glitches but nobody to fix them. 

**Recommendations to others considering DaySmart Pet:**

DO NOT USE 123 PET!!!! They will try and charm you to sign the paperwork to take your money... but once you have my god will you regret it! They wouldn't even actually talk to me on the phone until I had signed my agreement... Jokers! 

**What problems is DaySmart Pet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This has made me realise not to use 123 pet and to look for someone who specialises in this type of software development instead... 123 pet are just a big hairdressers software company that think they could make money elsewhere.

**What do you like best about DaySmart Pet?**

Helps organize our appointments. Allows for online booking. And I love the remote access from my phone. 

**What do you dislike about DaySmart Pet?**

Design is a bit outdated. And I dislike the amount of steps it takes just to open up the grooming notes.

Helps us see with our sales from previous month's and years so we can compare and see a trend.

**What do you like best about DaySmart Pet?**

Recording transactions is a breeze, and scheduling is simple. Entering new clients into the database is easy and there is a lot of room to record their information. The display of the program is aesthetically pleasing and it is easy to navigate. 

**What do you dislike about DaySmart Pet?**

That I have to use Excel to have a list of how many dogs are staying overnight, I wish this was built into the system. You can see easily how many dogs are scheduled to come in, but it doesn't account for the dogs who are staying for days at a time, so you don't have a count. Also wish there was an emergency contact slot. And for the grooming section, it would be useful if you could easily keep a log of what they got each time they were in.

**Recommendations to others considering DaySmart Pet:**

You still need another way to calculate how many dogs are boarding each night, I use an Excel template I made for that. Other than that, it's a good investment.

**What problems is DaySmart Pet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scheduling dogs, and making sure we have enough people staffed. Also having a database on the computer, not just files. It saves time and money, and with the mobile option, I can look up clients information on the go.
