Question on: Pindrop Security
Why would someone use Pindrop ® Protect instead of other security options out there? With the volume of calls major call centers handle, the ability to distinguish the legitimate customer calls from fraudsters has to be highly accurate to be effective. Solutions that produce high false positives can do more harm than good. With a ratio of 1 fraud call in every 638, a high false positive rate causes consumer frustration and overwhelms fraud analysts. We use multiple technologies to analyze every call, because that is what it takes to catch today's sophisticated fraudsters. In order to achieve the detection rates Pindrop has, anything less is ineffective at truly fighting fraud. Protect and Pindrop's second generation Phoneprinting ™ technology brings the enhanced accuracy, increased detection rates, and high definition phoneprints, needed to protect call centers effectively.

Question on: Pindrop Security
How will Pindrop® Protect help you fight voice fraud?Because Pindrop ® Protect is multi-factor, it can typically offer a higher rate of true detection than single-factor anti-fraud solutions or knowledge based authentication. Using every facet of the call, the metadata, audio, and voice, allows Pindrop to get detailed information on every call. The information from multiple sources helps to provide risk scores for every call, utilize anomaly detection for unknown callers, and develop fraud profiles for spotting repeat fraudsters. This multi-factor approach allows us to continue to help detect fraudsters that attempt to hide them- selves. As they try to evade one technology, they illuminate themselves in another.

Question on: Pindrop Security
How is Pindrop Phoneprinting™ technology used?Phoneprinting is used for anomaly detection by analyzing the audio attributes of a call and com- paring that to the expected results based on the calling ANI. Additionally, if a call is deemed to be fraudulent, a fraudster phoneprint is created for matching future calls against. A phoneprint match to a stored fraudster phoneprint results in a high-risk score component.
