I try double-clicking a bunch of times to select the object or path. Sometimes it works. Sometimes I move things to get to the desired object or path, make my change & then move items back. The double click habit comes from adobe Illustrator.

My company uses the Axure RP 9 software for prototyping. Too bad it has so many bugs that our efficiency is drastically reduced. These guys are clearly more interested in getting our money than making sure their garbage-ware actually works.
