# How can quickly click/select on something inside a group or mask?

I try double-clicking a bunch of times to select the object or path. Sometimes it works. Sometimes I move things to get to the desired object or path, make my change & then move items back. The double click habit comes from adobe Illustrator.

### Comment 1

To quickly select something inside a group or mask in Figma, you can use Command Ctrl + Click to directly select nested layers. You can also double-click to enter isolation mode and easily pick the element you need without ungrouping.

### Comment 2

Hold the "Control" or "Command" key and Left Click on the exact object you want to select.
