**What do you like best about Variabl?**

ZenCentiv automates commission calculations, eliminating spreadsheets and reducing errors. The dashboard gives clear visibility into payouts, making it easy for sales teams to track earnings. Setup was straightforward, integration with our CRM was smooth, and customer service has been amazing—quick to respond and genuinely helpful.

**What do you dislike about Variabl?**

This is a bit nitpicky, but a native mobile app would be nice for checking payouts on the go. The reporting could also be more flexible—some custom reports require workarounds.

**What problems is Variabl solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ZenCentiv removes the manual effort and errors in commission tracking by automating calculations and payouts. This saves our team hours of admin work, ensures accuracy, and gives sales reps real-time visibility into their earnings. The seamless CRM integration means less back-and-forth between systems, making the entire process smoother and more transparent.

**What do you like best about Variabl?**

Flexible - capable of handing both contract-based comissions, and month to month contract-less.
Ease of integration - Works with Hubspot, Salesforce, CSV's, etc...
Implementation - Implemented at 2 different companies, and both times we were up and running within 30-60 days. The team remained accessible for fine tuning.

**What do you dislike about Variabl?**

There is nothing I dislike about Zencentiv. I've implemented it at two companies with wildly different products and comp plans, for Sales and CSMs

**What problems is Variabl solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Company A

80-person sales org (mix of AEs and SDRs), operating on month-to-month NO contracts. Sales compensation was tied to actual revenue—not just bookings—which meant commission couldn’t be finalized until revenue recognition and accounting adjustments were complete. The process was painfully manual, requiring exports from HubSpot and Qlik into a stitched-together Google Sheet. It took anywhere from 5 to 10 business days to finalize payouts, depending on accounting’s timeline. Tracking one-offs, mid-period comp adjustments, or effective agreements was a nightmare.

Company B

25-person contract-based GTM team (AEs, SDRs, & CSMs). AE comp tied to booked business, with accelerators for multi-year deals and quarterly/annual over-attainment. CSM comp tied to net revenue retention. Commission discussions were mostly happening in Slack and email threads, leading to a high margin of error, inconsistent documentation, and a lack of auditability.

Enter Zencentiv

Zencentiv partnered with us to truly understand our GTM motions and comp structure—and customized their platform to spec in under 30 days. That alone was impressive, especially considering that at Company A, our BI team had spent over a year trying (and failing) to automate commissions internally.

Zencentiv's platform allows us to define comp rules with clarity, integrates seamlessly with our CRM, and auto-calculates commissions with an audit trail that aligns with accounting. The manager roll-up logic is also a massive win—any change to a rep's comp is reflected upstream in real-time. And the ability to centralize commission agreements (and collect signatures!) replaces a mess of Google Drive folders and scattered email threads.

We evaluated Performio, Xactly, CaptivateIQ, and Spiff—Zencentiv came out ahead by an order of magnitude in simplicity, speed to implementation, and cost. Their team is dedicated to the customer's success; our challenges were their challenges.

As someone who’s led multiple RevOps functions, I can confidently say: I’ll never have my team calculate commissions manually again. Zencentiv will continue to be #1 in my playbook—and yes, the end users love the dashboards too.

User friendly, easy to implement, and great customer support.

**What do you dislike about Variabl?**

I like the product and see no downside in using the system.

**What problems is Variabl solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The company has a lot of different plans with different bonus objectives, and using the system the manager's can login to ZenCentiv and submit the score for each objectives on a quarterly basis. There is an option for manager to submit a score after the quarter is closed through the bonus adjustments, which is great.

**What do you like best about Variabl?**

It is a flexible software, is efficient and significant time saver with reduced errors compared to spreadsheet calculations. Easy to learn and fix errors. Both Nick and Alex were super helpful and very professional. The implementation was executed seamlessly, ensuring smooth and efficient process.

**What do you dislike about Variabl?**

Overall, a great product! there are not many standard reports.

**What problems is Variabl solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zencentiv solving the poor scalability, time-consuming, Human Error etc which we were facing using spreadsheets for sales commission calculation. It integrates with Salesforce.

Ease of administration and use. No need to worry about building complicated custom logic or learning new formula syntax - Zencentiv takes care of it and makes it easy to get up and running!

**What do you dislike about Variabl?**

Nothing. We get incredible customer support from the Zencentiv team - they listen to customers and are constantly rolling out new features.

**What problems is Variabl solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zencentiv will help us manage our growing sales org and growing comp plan complexity. Makes it easy for reps to find the info they need and for admins to manage the commissions process.
