We thought we would like the ability to customize fields so we could add subcategories of customers - we are a training company and need to track employee certifications within each customer field. We spent eight months trying to set up this system. Vtiger assured us they could migrate our data from the open-source version we had been using for many years. During those eight months, however, there were constant lapses in response and customer service from their team, repeated requests to us to send them information we had already sent, follow-up emails unanswered for weeks or even months, and one account rep not knowing what another had done. After eight months, the migration was finally completed but was full of errors and our comment fields were not in line with one another. We finally gave up and asked for our money back but were told we could only have a small fraction of what we had spent for the system (the three months remaining on the subscription), despite the fact that the system was never usable.
