**What do you like best about Vome Volunteer?**

It is user-friendly, flexible and has a lot of functionality. The support team is amazing; personal and responsive and always willing to deal with any challenges or training needs that you may have. 

For my Canadian clients the fact that it’s a Canadian company and all data is stored here weighs heavily in Vome’s favour, and my US clients love the high level of their data security.

Although there are several hundred volunteer management software systems out there, there are only a handful that really stand out. Vome is in that top tier, and is, I believe, the most economical of that level.

**What do you dislike about Vome Volunteer?**

Their help articles could be improved. The ones that are there are great, but there are a few gaps, especially on the admin side.

**What problems is Vome Volunteer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a volunteer engagement consultant, I am often asked about different volunteer management software systems. Vome is one that I highly recommend. Their staff make the process of implementation easy, and the integrations that they have work smoothly.

**What do you like best about Vome Volunteer?**

Our organization chose VOME as part of our growth strategy, and we had some specific needs to support this expansion. One key requirement was a waitlist feature for scheduling volunteers. At first, this feature was missing, so we continued to look into other platforms that might better suit our needs. We were very happy when VOME introduced the waitlist feature and showed a willingness to listen to our feedback. The development team has been consistently quick to respond, offering thorough support and clear explanations whenever we reach out. As a small organization, we value how easy it is to customize VOME’s features to fit our volunteers and scheduling processes. We are now considering upgrading our subscription to unlock additional features.

**What do you dislike about Vome Volunteer?**

VOME is a relatively new platform, and learning to use it while simultaneously implementing it has resulted in extra work due to our unfamiliarity with its features. There have been occasions when we had to discard previous work or encountered record-keeping issues because we did not fully understand how certain functions operated. 

While VOME currently meets our scheduling needs, there are still a few specific features that would make it more effective for us. Our scheduling is organized by semester, and sometimes volunteer opportunities overlap. To keep our records current, we want volunteers to fill out a new form each semester, primarily to update emergency contact information. However, there is no straightforward way to require new forms for each semester. An administrator must manually unassign volunteers, which then cancels any future registrations they may have. Additionally, having an "open date" feature to complement the existing "close date" option would be very useful.

**What problems is Vome Volunteer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

VOME makes it possible to create customized schedules for a diverse range of volunteers, and it also accommodates specific requirements based on each volunteer type. Additionally, we are benefiting from the online waiver signing feature available during volunteer registration.

**What do you like best about Vome Volunteer?**

The interface is very appealing and intuitive.  Communication pathways are very clear and accessible.  Easy to implement, especially with various job aids.  Many features that are helpful for both staff and volunteers to use.  Vome support has been efficient, receptive, incredibly helpful.

**What do you dislike about Vome Volunteer?**

I haven’t found anything unhelpful or disliked so far. There are occasional minor bugs in the app, but Vome IT is quick to address them when they come up.

Eliminating various platforms for volunteers to use: Vome has many features through its website/app which make it easy to navigate and utilize for different purposes and needs.  Communication has improved between staff and volunteers.  Notifications/reminders to suit volunteers' needs.

**What do you like best about Vome Volunteer?**

Vome has helped us manage our current volunteer operations cutting down the administrative work down considerably and providing our volunteers with an easy to use app so they could manage their own schedules/training. Thanks to the platform we are in a place where we can focus on growing our volunteer base instead of just managing the day to day. The onboarding and support has been stellar. They are quick to respond and open to feedback - it’s been a pleasure working with the Vome team.

Less technically inclined volunteers sometimes struggle to understand how to use the app, but a quick side-by-side demo usually helps.

It's newer software so there are some things I would like to see added. However, they take your requests and will implement them, which is really great!

Scheduling and tracking hours is easy to do. I can pull that up in minutes. They have a great customizable selection of forms, creating opportunities, etc. This allows you to be creative and customize it to your needs.

We've been using Vome Volunteer for a few months and it's been a great addition to our program. It's easy to use, saves us time, and makes scheduling, communication, and tracking volunteer hours simple. Our volunteers have come to like the user-friendly interface, and the customer support has been outstanding. Highly recommend for any organization looking to streamline their volunteer program.

Vome is helping us gather important data and insights from our volunteers, which is invaluable for our reporting and planning. We're still working on the most efficient way to integrate the platform with our corporate volunteering tracking, but overall, it's been a great tool that’s already making a positive impact.

What I enjoy the most about Vome is the fact that the developers have thought of everything. Anytime I ever had a question that sounded like "I wonder if vome can ______" the answer was always yes - it can! I am so thoroughly impressed with the features and intuitiveness.

**What do you dislike about Vome Volunteer?**

The only downside to Vome I can think of is getting used to manipulating the platform. It requires a bit of a learning curve; however, the incredible support I received made it worthwhile.

Implementing Vome has revolutionized our volunteer management at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Columbia, SC. The automated scheduling system is a standout feature, saving us significant time and reducing errors. Our volunteers appreciate the flexibility and ease of being able to scheduling shifts, which has led to a notable increase in participation and retention rates. The real-time updates and reminders have improved communication, ensuring smooth operations and a better volunteer experience. Vome has truly streamlined our processes, allowing us to focus more on our mission of supporting families with critically ill children.

**What do you dislike about Vome Volunteer?**

It can be difficult to make changes to existing shifts, but some of this is probably due to a lack of staff training.

We were previously using Google Calendar to manage all of our volunteers. This often caused issues with overbooking or scheduling mishaps, not to mention the sheer volume of calls that we would receive regarding volunteer opportunity availability and scheduling. Vome has made it SO much easier to navigate our growing volunteer program at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Columbia, SC.

We love how user-friendly and modern the system is. The mobile app feature is especially useful, allowing us to access our database on the go with ease!

So far, we haven’t encountered anything we don’t like! Like any new system, there are initial growing pains, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes incredibly helpful.

Our church was seeking a volunteer management system for helping organize varied and significant needs of a family in our congregation. Vome helped us to organize our efforts, ensure we weren't doubling up, and communicate with the volunteers more easily.

**What do you like best about Vome Volunteer?**

Vome allows me to see who is scheduled at a glance without tons of scrolling like with Signup Genius.  We use 10 volunteers a shift so before Vome that can add up to lots of scrolling!  The upside is that we can also now track volunteer hours and use these numbers for applying for grants.

**What do you dislike about Vome Volunteer?**

The initial signup process seems like too many steps for my senior crowd who don't like tech.  The down side is that I thought my high school volunteers would love to have an app, but not many of them use it.

It is allowing us to have a clearer picture of who are volunteers are and how many volunteer hours we are using each season.

**What do you like best about Vome Volunteer?**

Vome allows me to keep track of hundreds of volunteers with ease. Once the volunteers are registered, they do all the heavy lifting as they can sign up for their own shifts that I only have to click "approve" or "deny" on. This in turn relieves the stress of having to worry about each individuals schedule or potential issues in overstaffing a certain shift. Plus, Vome automatically tracks each individuals schedule and hours, making it a quick grab if anyone ever requests such information.

**What do you dislike about Vome Volunteer?**

While not as much of an issue anymore, there was certainly a bit of a learning curve as Vome was constantly under development when we first used it. However, the customer support team was so great at staying in close contact to help immediately if there were any issues or concerns, walking us through any features step by step.

**What problems is Vome Volunteer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vome Volunteer allows us to organize and keep track of hundreds of volunteers without actually doing any work. Everything is organized by the platform itself and I can access whatever information I need with a click of a button.

**What do you like best about Vome Volunteer?**

Great for keeping track of hours, giving volunteers the opportunity to sign up for tasks or events, and allowing volunteers to claim hours. They have great customer support that will take the time to go over any questions. We use it almost every single day.

**What do you dislike about Vome Volunteer?**

The only issues that we have with VOME is pulling Reports. When pulling the reports it doesn't allow us to only pull for specific people. Just adding a small extra step after exporting the data.

**What problems is Vome Volunteer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm not sure if they are solving any problems, but they are constantly upgrading and working to improve the Crm for their customers.

Color scheme can be overwhelming if your prefer darker themes. Reminders are nor customizable enough

I enjoy the opportunity feature and how easy it is to see upcoming shifts and who is scheduled for the shifts via the calendar view/ list view. The reporting and calculation of the hours is a great feature too and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Vome Volunteer?**

A few bugs here and there. It would be great to be able to manually change the impact value of the profiles/volunteers to reflect accurate numbers specific to the province and role.

Scheduling volunteers for programs and calculating their hours for community service criterias.

**What do you like best about Vome Volunteer?**

Vome is well positioned as an outstanding volunteer management software for non-profit organizations. Its unique pricing model makes it much more affordable for small organizations that engage many volunteers. For example, other software is priced by volunteers - and with a database of over 1,000 potential volunteers, the pricing gets very exorbitant with other software. Vome prices according to the number of administrators, which made this software affordable for our organization. Otherwise, I would not be able to use a database. Also, customer support is very responsive. I have been able to get in touch with support when experiencing any issues quickly - and they have resolved the issue or provided a work around which has relieved a lot of stress!

**What do you dislike about Vome Volunteer?**

Keep in mind that this is a new software program. Unfortunately, it is not the most customizable app available, although it has many of the features needed in an easy-to-use way. Also, I am waiting for more reports and the ability to customize reports.

**What problems is Vome Volunteer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was not able to find a comprehensive volunteer management software that was affordable before Vome.
