What do you like best about Volgistics?

"Best place to organize your work with volunteers"

What do you like best about Volgistics?

I like how easy it is to work on and make your schedule simple for volunteers to understand. I like that they can see the schedule for the next X months (which I can set up) and schedule themselves as easily as unscheduled. It takes part of my work off and keeps it more organized than me doing it through emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Volgistics has allowed more effective reporting for our organization. For more than a decade, our organization struggled to report on all the volunteer services in our organization promptly. What do you like best about Volgistics?

Volgistics has so many features which cover everything I need to organize over 1000 people in my database. They have simple, easy to understand "help" resources with pictures, videos, etc. Their turn around time with help emails is pretty fast. Their unlimited, customizable reports are easy to create and report results are quickly deposited in the "mailbox". I am not a tech savvy person, but this software has been relatively easy to navigate to record service for event volunteers, youth coaches, childcare service, office volunteers and many other positions. What do you dislike about Volgistics?

There are a few glitches that are easy to work around. It seems Volgistics takes suggestions seriously and usually creates a solution within a few months. There is a learning curve when you first start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Volgistics:

Give yourself plenty of time to learn the system. Explore their help topics, which are easy to understand. If you have questions, don't hesitate to email them- there isn't a charge and very little lag time before you get an answer. My volunteers are from all ages, work in a variety of jobs (some ongoing, some one day events) and have various abilities- if I can use one fairly inexpensive software to organize my database, I feel I can recommend Volgistics to other agencies. What problems is Volgistics solving and how is that benefiting you?

I organize anywhere from 35 to 400 event volunteers per month. Volgistics makes check in at remote locations easy. Volunteer hours are recorded to the minute and I can email volunteers their record of service, which helps with retention. I use the notes section of a record to add tidbits of information about the volunteer so I can refer to it when writing a recommendation. I recently added VicNet and am excited to use the texting function and the ability to sign in for a shift from home or cell phone- especially during emergency situations when we become a temporary shelter or HUB for evacuations. What do you like best about Volgistics?

I like that I can make postings and volunteers are in charge of joining. Likewise, when they have served, we don't request that they sign in and out. They are likewise in charge of signing into their entrance and logging their own hours. The database is really simple to utilize and refresh as required. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Volgistics?

only I wish it had greater capacity to follow volunteer training that are expected sporadically and tell volunteers naturally as the due date approaches. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This is incredible for volunteer tasks that record hours. I prescribe this product to any individual who needs to deal with countless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Volgistics solving and how is that benefiting you?

With this product, we have had the option to move far from paper documents and applications for our volunteers, keep itemized notes on collaborations and occurrences that have happened with our volunteers, and have had the option to all the more likely handle the progression of onboarding volunteers. With Volgistics, we have streamlined our regulatory work and had the option to achieve more with less - most remarkably, we have had the option to dispose of quite a bit of our departmental information passage, and are investigating new ways that we can utilize Volgistics. What do you like best about Volgistics?

Volgistics has robust reporting capabilities, along with volunteer scheduling, service history, tracking volunteer achievements/trainings, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Volgistics?

I wish it were a little more robust/user-friendly in certain areas. For example, there are so many reporting capabilities but it can take a little while to figure out how to filter everything properly to get what you are looking for. It would be amazing if some reports were more built-in. I also wish it had more capability to track volunteer trainings that are due sporadically and notify volunteers automatically as the deadline approaches. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Volgistics is great for all aspects of volunteer management. As someone who used to have to track volunteer information and schedules manually (i.e. paper calendar and excel spreadsheets), I truly believe a program like Volgistics is indispensible for non-profits that utilize a volunteer workforce. If you ever have trouble getting a particular report, try reaching out to the support team (https://www.volgistics.com/support.htm). They're very experienced in building custom reports, and will get you a quick answer. For repeating requirements/training, try using Checklist items (https://www.volgistics.com/ex/Help.dll?ACT=21&TOPIC=2240). You can enter an expiration date manually or allow the system to calculate expiration dates. Either way, it sends automatic reminders as the expiration date approaches.
