I’ve personally used VOGSY for the initial setup, and now for the ongoing back office configuration and data analysis phases.

From the very beginning, onboarding was smooth and intuitive, we always received prompt support from the VOGSY team, and in a short time we were able to get fully operational and help roll it out internally.

In terms of ongoing back office configuration, I appreciate how flexible VOGSY is, it adapts well to our realities, the flexibility it offers allows us to refine configurations continuously as our needs evolve.

On the data analytics side, the integration with Google BigQuery has been a major advantage. The data stays automatically updated, and I can leverage Power BI to build dashboards easily, useful both for high-level reporting (e.g. management or board) and for operational teams on the ground. The combination gives me the confidence that we always have accurate, up-to-date insights tailored to different stakeholder needs.

At this point, I don’t have any significant drawbacks to highlight. With VOGSY, I can now check our utilization rates, project margins, and revenue forecasts every morning at a glance. What stands out to me most is how VOGSY enables a genuinely seamless quote-to-cash process, free from media breaks or the need for manual workarounds. In previous roles at former large consultancy employers, we relied on fragmented Excel workflows and disconnected systems, but that’s no longer the case. Overall excellent, but if I had to name one wish, it would be for more native integration options with specialized German HR platforms. Legal obligations require detailed time-tracking of staff. Currently, project teams have to double-entry their daily hours (ERP & HR). This, of course, is an issue for all ERP systems. The true root cause is the German labor law. I really like the way VOGSY integrates with the rest of our IT landscape. I also appreciate the features related to projects and deliverables. The onboarding was very easy. I don't really remember the onboarding in detail, which means it didn't take much effort for us.

In Vogsy, we have one system for all our potential and active customer data, quotes, time declarations, invoicing, and document management. Vogsy is capable of supporting the complete lead2cash cycle. At the same time Vogsy is very flexible, we started of from project2bill, now we have opportunity2bill.

VOGSY is an all-encompassing tool that allows you as little or as much insight into a project or your company as you need. It is intuitive and thoughtful, and I really appreciate how open the VOGSY team is to feedback and recommendations.

I spent MONTHS demoing and testing project management tools that were bloated and overpriced. VOGSY gives you the best of what you need at a price that is appropriate!

I like that VOGSY can track a customer from whatever point in your sales process that you want to (integrating with your CRM), that you can plan a project, do resource management, and dive into all aspects of utilization, project budget health, company KPIs, revenue tracking, and more. The reporting is deep and between it' out-of-the-box charts and full access to all data via Google Workspace, you can literally find any data point you need!

VOGSY offers collaboration on the Customer-level, the project-level, all the way down to the task-level, plus tying it into your Google Inbox is great so you can track conversations beyond VOGSY. Very nice!

There is a learning curve around terminology, which is to be expected, but I think creating a Glossary would be helpful. Aside from that, there are really just some nit-picky deltas: Because it isn't just a spreadsheet, there isn't a copy & paste option for repeated tasks or allocations. I wish there was a way to plan dependencies and predecessors to tasks (that's the PM in me). There is room for continued improvement around tasks (assigning multiple people to a task, organizing tasks by a calendar, or visualizing tasks differently). And there are some pain points around how the tool calculates budget and planned hours, but nothing that we can't either work around or work with VOGSY to improve. Oh, and we have decided (for now) that we'll need to use a separate tool for tracking and managing our expenses because the VOGSY expense reporting isn't quite right (yet) for us. But my biggest bit of feedback would be around incorporating more visuals around your onboarding tools. I don't mean screenshots and video recordings, but infographics to explain things -the why or the how- to help things mentally connect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most valuable part about VOGSY is the connection between our CRM, VOGSY, and our accounting tool, which allows us to have company information in one place, so we all see the same data. VOGSY has been the least helpful when communicating a schedule with clients as there currently is no elegant way to share a project plan with a client. Although not quite a downside.
