We use their printing, banner, and even postcard mailing services frequently. **What do you dislike about Vistaprint?** Their quality of printing is not as high as some of our local printers, but that is to be expected for the price which is often 90% cheaper than printing locally. **Recommendations to others considering Vistaprint:** I have slowly seen VistaPrint make improvements to their software and design capabilities. We use all our own designs and upload the vector files to the site. VistaPrint has always been there over the phone to confirm a high quality upload and provided refunds/reprinting for jobs we were not pleased with. They are always able in my experience to fulfill the orders you make. You can order at scale and know they can print and send you the products. The other thing that is working for them is that they have a wide variety of items for purchase. **What do you dislike about Vistaprint?** The things I dislike about vistaprint is the massive amount of upsells they have during the checkout process, for instance, if you want to just order some standard business cards, forget about it, by the time you reach checkout you will have been offered 10+ products to buy before able to input your credit card. **Recommendations to others considering Vistaprint:** I would always search for a place to input coupon codes. Coupon codes on the website of vista print are available throughout the web. If you want to be able to save a lot of money on them, search for them. (I forget exactly what it was.) Since I was between jobs at the time and couldn't use my old cards, I was happy to take advantage of the offer...and then I ended up buying some custom stamps...and some holiday cards...and...and...and... Prices are good and turnaround pretty quick. The quality of the products I've purchased so far have been good and the one time I had to contact customer service, they resolved the issue promptly. **What do you dislike about Vistaprint?** They do have a lot of templates and art available, but they could always use some more. **Recommendations to others considering Vistaprint:** Play around with the available templates. You don't necessarily put your name in the slot labeled "Name". With a bit of creativity, you can come up with something really nice. Also consider leaving fields blank. I needed cards that had only my name and email address on them for sending out with my etsy items, leaving a lot of blank space for hand-written messages. It's not any worse than kinko's and therein lies the opportunity to succeed or fail. I understand that the corporate logo on the banner and the shirt may not match due to different substrates, but not matching a print ready cymk logo in the business card to the brochure on premium gloss paper ruins the first impression to the client. To their credit, vistaprint reprinted the bcards and brochure, but the reprint results still didn't match perfectly. I would be more selective about the pieces I sent to vistaprint. I've always paid a little extra for premium quality cards- and premium quality is what I get. The design capabilities are endless. I can use my own design or a template and can really make my card how I want it to look. I like the fact I can go back to an order from years ago and it'll be there, ready for reprinting or editing. They have good sales & coupon codes to make their products even more affordable. On the occasions I've had to contact customer service, they've been prompt to respond and even replaced a missing order seamlessly. **What do you dislike about Vistaprint?** Some batches of cards can be a little off. For instance, sometimes you can clearly spot printing errors (irregular smudging/missing ink), so I'm not sure if they have a quality control in place. I normally use these cards as my "fishbowl" drop off cards, so it isn't a big deal to me- but if you're looking to share your card exclusively with clients, I could see how the printing discrepancies could affect your business. **Recommendations to others considering Vistaprint:** Allow plenty of time for your order to come in, especially if you have a networking event on the horizon. It was my error completely and they did not make me pay a dime for the replacement cards! Their business cards are free, you just have to pay the shipping. The cards are top quality, & they have a huge selection of templates to choose from. All you have to do is type in the info you want on your cards. You can compare how your cards will look using the different templates & choose the best fit. In addition to the cards you can also customize everything from invoices to magnetic vehicle signs, to cups, pens & Tee shirts. Once you make you make your choices & customize your products your in formation is saved to your account for quicker reorders. **What do you dislike about Vistaprint?** There is no downside to Vista Print for me. The only drawback I can think of is you can't just run down to their store and pick up your order, since they are an online business. **Recommendations to others considering Vistaprint:** If you've never designed your print material/logos or cards before Vista Print it a wonderful place to start. They make it very easy to design your products. You do not have to be design savvy to use Vista Print. **What problems is Vistaprint solving and how is that benefiting you?** Vista Print is very affordable so it fits into my budget. They also make it easy for me to customize all my printed business material using just one company. Their templates are really helpful as well. I have had instances where I thought I knew what direction I wanted to go design wise, but once I started playing around with different templates ended up finding something I liked much better instead. The client was asking for foil stamped cards. I was really skeptical of an online printing store, but had heard several success stories and decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised! They turned out great! Not one mistake and trust me...I'm picky. The hit my colors spot on and registration was perfect. I also love how many online discounts they offer. **What do you dislike about Vistaprint?** In the print design world, when working with professional printers you generally have what's called a "press check." Not being able to do this in person isn't great, but vista prints results were done really well. I bought save the dates, a tshirt, tote bag, address labels, mouse pad, and 2 calendars using the groupon. Some of the items had images on them including the save the dates. Everything came out perfectly. I plan on using them in the future for bridesmaids tote bags and to print my invitations. **What do you dislike about Vistaprint?** They need to improve the communication they have with customers. Very clunky and poorly designed. I also HATE how they manage IP protection. I once spent a week back and forth with Customer Service getting them to approve a design because their system detected that image elsewhere on the Web (where I had posted it) and they automatically rejected it. There are a ton of options, and the customer service is great. **What do you dislike about Vistaprint?** The biggest downside to using Vistaprint is that you have to create designs within their specific templates, which can sometimes be awkward sizes. Your design must be precise or else you won't get exactly what you're looking for. This seems to be the trade off for getting custom printed products at such a cheap price. **Recommendations to others considering Vistaprint:** VistaPrint is great, just make sure you know exactly what size piece you're getting, especially if it's a postcard. Take a the time to draw out the dimensions on a piece of paper to make sure it's exactly what you want.
