Sub par service and auto renewal worst practice. **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2023 **What do you like best about Viddyoze?** Easy of use seemed a good capabilities but the end user UI for managing the account is inexistent and the user support uses unfair and dishonest reasoning to steal your money. **What do you dislike about Viddyoze?** The customer service is inexistent. There is no self service UI for basic capabilities like payment information updates, plan changes, subscription cancelation, everything has to go through support emails which makes the self service self care experience a nightmare. I'm currently disputing the auto renewal, I don't know how it'll go, I'll provide an update once it reaches an end. The auto renewal is a very dishonest practice: there is nowhere the expiration date or the auto renewal date, they do not provide any headsup email for the upcoming payment so unless you mark your calendar you'll have no alert for the upcoming payment. I retired almost a year ago and the auto renewal went off my radar, I just learned when the payment processed through my credit card, no communication at all and when I wrote asking for a refund they wrote back there were "very sorry but we are unable to offer a refund on the annual subscription payment as we do advise at the time of check out this is a recurring payment unless cancelled. ". As you can see they do little to keep you informed and do not communicate the upcoming auto renewal (otherwise you'd have time to cancel of course) . The product is barely good enough and the self service capabilities are kept at a level that makes the user hostage of their worst practices. They charged me for a full year instead of a monthly fee once I canceled after one year they removed all products I had access to. They also changed their refund policy without warning, making it impossible to dispute the charge. Their customer service is rude and unhelpful. They took advantage of the customer's misinformation and violated my trust. I strongly advise you to avoid them. the moment you cancel monthly or yearly payments everything will be gone. **What problems is Viddyoze solving and how is that benefiting you?** there is non since they removed all my purchased during one year I gathered ### 3. But the WORST thing is, I just tried logging back into the site today and my username and password don't work. So I contacted them, and they said .. "Oh, you need to re-purchase it." They said it's a new product. I said, "what's the name of the new product?" They said "Viddyoze." Maybe I'm missing something, but I originally purchased Viddyoze. The new product is called Viddyoze. Other than updating the old product, I don't understand how they now think this is a new product. They simply want to charge their previous customers again, for no other reason than they invested money into making improvements and feel they can get away with charging their previous customers again. I don't know about you, but that doesn't sound like a "One-Time Price". It sounds more like a "One-Time Price" (until we decide we need some more money, and then we'll charge you again.) This really is pissing me off. **What problems is Viddyoze solving and how is that benefiting you?** At the moment, it's not solving any problem since the company has me so annoyed .. that I don't want to continue using it. ### 4. There is no cancellation option. I emailed them back in January which they apparently never received and continued to charge me. They have now cancelled, having taken a further 5 payments which they refuse to refund. Even when I cancelled they sent me a further email trying to offer me a cheaper subscription with a big "your subscription is still active until we receive a reply" ... that's AFTER I have requested a cancellation! Unfortunately my email server deleted sent items after 3 months but they still refused to refund the payment they had taken today. They do not care about the customers in any way. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! **Recommendations to others considering Viddyoze:** Do not. Limited functionality, impossible to cancel. Customer service is the worst I've experienced. **What problems is Viddyoze solving and how is that benefiting you?** Quick and easy. The templates if you don't pay for the monthly subscription are few and limited, even though you have just paid to use the system, you only get a very basic set of templates and options unless you subscribe. ### 5. It is ridiculous that I have to pay to use my logo with a transparent background. The number of templates is extremely limited for the basic plan, and it seems that the only point of this plan is to lure customers into buying more templates and expensive subscriptions. Add photos to a library for fast retrieval? You need to UPGRADE! They are industry-leaders and are constantly improving. A true Gem in this competitive space of video animation. You’re also sure to get the needed support whether you’re a novice to video animation or well-seasoned. They take care of everyone! Their tutorials are always very helpful and goes a long way to spark ideas and creativity! Also, as video is fast becoming a MUST in today’s world, this is a tool that is essential to stay competitive. **What problems is Viddyoze solving and how is that benefiting you?** It allows me to create full-blown videos for projects quickly and easily! From simple logo stingers, to eye-catching transitions, to full-length videos, the ability to create such a variety using just ONE tool is such a time-saver! As this is a team that consistently forges ahead in their industry, I am always up to date with the latest and greatest just by using their tool! The ideas I get through their many tutorial videos also help me be a better video creator. ### 12. No software to download. The text animation is a great way to make amazing social media posts. You simply choose the template, click "Customize" There is the option to add default music/sound to each animation or make the video silent. **What do you dislike about Viddyoze?** I wish that more templates were included in the lifetime account. They try to sell you monthly access to many more templates. This is beyond my budget. The template club really is awesome and has a lot more templates if you do not mind paying monthly for it. **Recommendations to others considering Viddyoze:** If you want a really easy solution where you can use a wizard to complete a task then you should try Viddyoze. I believe that it is a cost-effective way to go. If you use After Effects then you may want to continue using it for an animation solution. However it is a lot more harder to use than Viddyoze. Make sure that you have a logo with a transparent background and in .png format in order to end up with a high quality video animation. It is so easy to make intros and logo animations. No software to download. **What problems is Viddyoze solving and how is that benefiting you?** I needed a way to present my company in a very professional matter with video. I came across Viddyoze at the perfect time. This was perfect for my needs. It is also an easy upsell for clients. I also like to surprise clients with a couple of animations with their logo. It is one more thing that makes them want to utilize me for their consulting needs. I have ended up using it a lot more than I originally thought that I would. ### 13. The ability to customize them are simple (colors, logo). And worst of all, the customer service is unhelpful and almost predatory (auto-bills, no pro-rating, robot sounding). Pretty frustrating. **Recommendations to others considering Viddyoze:** If need basic logo animations, use this. But at the end of the day, pretty mediocre. ### 14. You have to spend another few hundred $$ to access their "template club" which is an ongoing monthly cost... Just to get better templates. Their money back guarantee states you can keep their videos however upon cancellation I got a threatening message saying that I can't use any content now that I don't have a licence. I feel sorry for those who paid for the club and then cannot use their videos when they stop paying for a subscription. In addition, half the templates only have a .mov save option so you will need a converter or editing program to use these. I have Adobe Premiere Pro and run 2 business's, I thought this was going to be a great help but it's very misleading. Expect to pay 4x the advertised price and an ongoing monthly cost along with additional purchase points. **Recommendations to others considering Viddyoze:** Do some more research to make sure you are getting what you want. All of the advertised templates and functionally are available as advertised, but they forget to mention you need to be on a premium subscription to use them. **What problems is Viddyoze solving and how is that benefiting you?** After requesting a refund as advertised in their money back guarantee, they have refunded me in full. Haven't really planned any benefits, will certainly try another provider ### 15. For that price, it comes with enough amazing features to justify the spend. **What do you dislike about Viddyoze?** While the lifetime subscription did come with a solid base of templates, it did say that updates would be available. Later on, they developed a premium service with 100s of more templates but none of them were available for the plan I purchased. I think there have been very few updates to the plan I purchased over the past 3 or 4 years. I haven't used it in a while, but when I was using it, it did glitch out from time to time. **Recommendations to others considering Viddyoze:** I'd have a look at invideo and compare the two. Invideo has a lot more templates on the version I purchased from appsumo. If you're paying for this service monthly, I'd highly recommend exploring the competition. On that note, I prefer Viddyoze interface over invideo. **What problems is Viddyoze solving and how is that benefiting you?** The tool allows you to quickly edit videos using premade templates. Templates include, lower thirds, transitions, intro and outro graphics, etc. It's relatively quick and easy to use. ### 16.
