On the ownership question specifically, it&#39;s worth asking each vendor to walk through what happens when the same item sells on two channels within seconds of each other. How that conflict actually resolves tells you more about the real-time claim than any refresh-rate number on a spec sheet.

Most of the time &quot;real time&quot; is accurate about the platform and wrong about the pipeline feeding it. The ERP updates the second it&#39;s told, and what lags is the channel connector or the warehouse scan. Worth separating those two before judging any system on this list.
