What's cool is that it's open source, so you can tinker with everything. The command-line version is super efficient for automating things, like compiling apps or creating packages. Frankly, the documentation is often a bit of a mess. You have to search everywhere for unusual commands. The really annoying thing is the lack of external libraries or components; you're severely limited to what Samsung offers. It is easy to use and has good user interface which helps in advance workflow options. It offers various templates for faster implementation and deployment. It has good customer support as they were helpful in resolving our query quicky and has good documentation available. It has really good emulator which makes development and debugging far simple. Its dependency management ecosystem is bad and has limited plugin options compared to android studio. Its package manager can be improved for better cross platform projects. The reason why we are bound to using tizen studio is the primary use of the Virtual TV or device emulator that run on Tizen OS. We can develop & test outside the studio but to finally run it in Studio is just a icing on the cake. Specially when I had to develop an app for a client I loved that I could either code in native language or use web based frameworks.

The intergration with other libraries is just wonderful so we can just fire up somthing about Tizen and go see about how it's doing.

It crashes as much you can expect. The processess take up a lot of storage & memory & I personally wouln't recommend developing inside of the Studio, I know it's mean't for that but hear me out. When every I wanted to change assets that I already added I was contantly running into the issue where the Studio would crash & talking about developing, I didn't see any featured that a "supposed IDE" should have provided. The unique niche in which Tizen Studio shines is the development of web applications for Samsung smart TVs. To my surprise, it didn’t take much time to create a weather app, and the drafting of the app in front of the computer was also very effective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The easiest and probably the most significant way to start working with Android is the emulator. I wanted to make a smartwatch app and found out that Tizen Studio only provides emulators for several TV models only. This made it difficult to correctly conduct functions exclusive to wearables.
