**What do you like best about Time-Out Zone?**

Every type of leave is clearly defined and configured the way we actually operate, standard paid time off, longer leave of absence requests, and even administrative leave for the situations that don't fit the normal mold.

**What do you dislike about Time-Out Zone?**

Not much. They don't have serbian language though. Perhaps they add it in the future.

**What problems is Time-Out Zone solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the most common questions we used to get from new hires was simply: "How do I request a leave of absence, and how is it different from regular paid time off?" With our old process the honest answer was "it depends who you ask," which is exactly the kind of ambiguity you can't afford at our scale. Half our team is fully remote across different time zones, and the other half is based in China. When people are spread like that, something as basic as approving a leave of absence turns into an issue, different working hours, different holiday calendars, and managers who are asleep when their team is awake.

**What do you like best about Time-Out Zone?**

The thing that sold us wasn't a single feature, it was that the foundations are right. Every team's policies actually behave the way we configured them. The accrual logic holds up under the messy real-world cases, tenure-based entitlements, mid-year joiners, different rules for different groups, instead of breaking the moment someone doesn't fit the happy path.

**What do you dislike about Time-Out Zone?**

I hate it that they were so responsive and helpful, it's unsual these days. :)

**What problems is Time-Out Zone solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Balances drifting, approvals stuck in inboxes, and finance asking questions we couldn't answer cleanly.

Multi-level approvals were a make-or-break for us, and they handled it well. Requests route to the right approver, deputies cover when managers are away, and nothing just sits there silently. Our managers stopped being the bottleneck, and my team stopped playing air-traffic-control for everyone else's holiday.

**What do you like best about Time-Out Zone?**

I like that Time-Out Zone integrates seamlessly with Slack, which is important for us because we communicate daily on there, and it's great that we get notifications through it. The integration with Google Calendar is also a big convenience since it reflects all approved leaves directly on the calendar, which we use for everything, including calls and meetings. It's also impressive how the founder was personally involved in our onboarding process, making it smooth for our team, along with the help of a customer success manager who is almost always available. These efforts made the initial setup quite smooth, as promised, without any problems.

**What do you dislike about Time-Out Zone?**

Some of the basic features are locked and you have to keep purchasing additional things just to have basic functionalities.

**What problems is Time-Out Zone solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time-Out Zone covers things our old software couldn't, like real accruals and proper carryover policies.
