"Create your own animations"

What do you like best about Synfig Studio?

Synfig Studio gave me the tools I needed to create an animated sequence for a logo. I had all the individual parts of the logo and assigned different movements to each. Best of all, the application was free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Synfig Studio?

It takes some time to learn how to use keyframing, but once you get the hang of it, it's not so bad. It would be good to have additional export formats. And perhaps a tutorial included. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Synfig Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?

I needed to animate a logo, and Synfig Studio had everything I needed. The final product looks professionally done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Synfig Studio?

I'm new to this program but it looked good so I tried it. It installed great and opens super fast, unlike so many other graphic and animation software programs. The interface is clean and easy to navigate. Menus are likewise easy to figure out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Synfig Studio?

Some of the movement of items can be a bit confusing. Color is also handled a bit different, but looks great when you get it right. There seem to be a few error issue with Windows that will need to be explored with tech support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Synfig Studio:

If you are looking to a fairly easy to use and not too complicated animation software, this is the one fir you. Beginners should be able to get up and running in a short time, especially if you have any experience at all with graphics software and understand how layers work. Be sure to take advantage of the samples enclosed and the tutorials found online. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Synfig Studio solving and how is that benefiting you?

No problems, but this will be great for small animations for Facebook, Titter and the like. The biggest benefit is that it is open source and there are several tutorials out there to help one get started. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
