**What do you like best about Symphony?**

Symphony is a great, easy to use, enterprise level messaging app.
It is not only purpose-built but also a high-security means of communication.

It is a robust and highly adaptable solution with many great features such as the Federation implementation that allows you to securely communicate with external networks such as WhatsApp/WeChat/SMS.  Easy chatbot creation through their open API framework as well as the ability to embed Symphony within other applications for easy access in a fast paced environment.
Some of it's latest and most astonishing work include their integration of AI and Analytics tools such as Trending Topics as well as their award-winning Trader Voice system.

We have implemented/created many great ideas using Symphony. However, a great part for achieving this has also been thanks to the swift and constant proficient support provided by the Customer Support team. 

All in all, Symphony is a constantly evolving platform, keeping up with the latest trends in the Financial/Technological market, most definitely a powerful messaging platform.

There is nothing I dislike about Symphony, however if there was one thing I'd like to see improve it would be the more widespread use of Symphony in other organizations.

Great for companies that are in the financial industry as well as allowing for a dense chat layout that doesn't take up a lot of screen real-estate

**What do you dislike about Symphony?**

Compared to platforms like Slack and MS Teams, Symphony has less frills and is more business oriented. While not a dislike, this does mean it can be behind in some features you would find in those other platforms

**What problems is Symphony solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our firm has historically had a preference for dense chat clients and in our bake off between multiple platforms, Symphony made the most sense for our company from a functionality and cost perspective.

The platform is easy to use, and I appreciate the user interface. Customer support stands out as well, especially their quick response time and level of engagement.

**What do you dislike about Symphony?**

As an Android mobile user, I don't always receive notifications consistently. I have to log in at least once a day on my mobile device to ensure I get the notifications.

**What problems is Symphony solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In 2024, we encountered a problem where the Symphony desktop app was repeatedly accessing one of our application URLs for heartbeat checks, which led to increased load and caused issues. Together with the Symphony support and engineering teams, we investigated the problem and, following their guidance, modified the heartbeat URL. This change was implemented in such a way that it did not impact our application or servers.

The software helps to communicate across various division and also let know if a coworker is busy in a meeting, out of office or available. it is easy to chat and bring quick resolution to issues. It can also share snip and emojis or even create a group for large audience.

The downside of symphony is occasionally the system is down and lacks group call feature.

Mostly in smphony, i like the availability of muiltple features in the same place like voice solutions, messaging and mostly with the integrated solutions which they offer, i used to save my time.

Might have had a much easy to use ui. Web index isn't sufficient. Doesn't necessarily in all cases show every one of the outcomes when searchinf for a client.

The fact that it saves down all chat history including photos and text. Hence can be used to cross reference later when people challenge what they said earlier in time.

It crashes quite frequently and can be frustrating when too many people send chimes

Instant messaging app featuring groups, file transfers, stickers, chimes and many more. Easy to use and communicate with colleagues. Broadcast available for updates and shoutouts.

Could have had a much user friendly ui. Search engine is not up to the mark. Doesn't always show all the results when searchinf for a user.

It has a few things which a chat tool should absolutely have :
- Multiple Chat windows at the same time.
- Group Chats
- Status of person typing.
- Ability to forward the messages.
- Able to mark and reply the messages.

**What do you dislike about Symphony?**

It allows the screen capture but it does not allows pasting the image from clip board, a lot of other chat tools do.Snipping tool comes handy when this is allowed. Otherwise it makes it difficult to send screen snip when working on a single screen.

If you are using a chat tool which is bit heavy, symphony is a real treat. Solves almost everything which you expect from a instant chat solution tool.

**What do you like best about Symphony?**

I appreciate being able to enter a room and easily search/view the entire conversation.  This way, I don't have to ask for help if the question has already been asked and documentation has been provided.  I can also leave a room and return if I want to.

**What do you dislike about Symphony?**

The notification system on Symphony is very annoying.  Although there are ways to remove the flashing notification on your desktop, if the application is running there is constant flashing and number display for all of the rooms I'm a part of, even if I only want to see notifications for one room.

**Recommendations to others considering Symphony:**

Use this tool for sharing information.  Since the conversation history lasts forever, it's not the best place for team or time-sensitive conversations.

**What problems is Symphony solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Whenever I need to work with a new technology, I join the room which other members of my organization have created to share information about that technology.  I learn a lot by viewing these conversations.  If the information I need is not already a part of the chat, I can ask questions and have them answered quickly, without having to reach out to several different people or identify the best resource to help with my issue.

**What do you like best about Symphony?**

The most useful feature I found is that you can view quite a few chats in one window at the same time by splitting the view. I also really like the theme and visual aspect of Symphony, it's simple, modern and pleasant to look at. 

**What do you dislike about Symphony?**

I think the lack of features is the biggest downside. Many features such as pasting in screenshots are not yet present on the young chat app. It seems though that the team behind it knows and is working hard to develop new features.

**Recommendations to others considering Symphony:**

If you're looking for a secure, stylish and regularly updated chat service with many extensions available, try symphony! Its many chat bots that you can get from the marketplace offer great integration with software such as bitbucket, jira and confluence. The sheer amount of customization it provides is great. One can change their alias, name color and even customize notifications with different colors based on who they received them from.

I have been able to chat with multiple people at the same time without any delay from switching to different windows. I have also managed to get people's attention much faster by using its chime feature.

I really like the ability to create and save chat rooms. It allows me to quickly chat with the whole team or share important info. It is skype on steroids. You can also use to talk with external contacts.

I wish I could mute notifications for certain chat rooms without having to leave them. I would also like to be able to be more creative with its look.

Integtates with tons of applications and APIs.

Offers me all internal communications features in one secure platform.

Nonetheless, Symphony can be hectic to use when there is poor internet connection.

Gotta no video conferencing features.

**What do you like best about Symphony?**

When you need to collaborate with coworkers globally or in remote locations, symphony is your guy. I remember using symphony in group chats in particular to stay in touch, share files and ideas most importantly. It’s a great communication platform that is safe and secure

**What do you dislike about Symphony?**

Sometimes you can accudentally chat the wrong person or group. I wish Symphony had some feature that made this more difficult to do. It’s quite easy to make that mistake now given the Symphony interface. 

**Recommendations to others considering Symphony:**

Be carefully when setting up your chat groups. Ensure that you separate private from business because, as I said, it’s quite easy to Chat the wrong person given how the interface is. Hopefully this is something their management and technology team can look at to fix

**What problems is Symphony solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to communicate across borders and share content is what’s great. Before it was difficult to communicate with people across time zones and geographic locations. Now symphony simplifies that

**What do you like best about Symphony?**

What I like about Symphony is the UI and feel of the platform. I also like that they provide support for a workstation application on your computer and also a web application. The security they offer is also top notch as that is one of their main selling point. Their APIs are also very easy to use and it offers enough capabilities for you to build most of the apps that you would want to use with the platform under a financial background. The ability to create your own service accounts, or bots is also very cool.

**What do you dislike about Symphony?**

I don't like how a lot of their APIs documentations are very lacking. Although it felt like they are really detailed for some endpoints, there are many where it is majorly lacking and you will need to email support to get more information, or you will have to test it with trial and error to get the expected behaviors. Also, a lot of the features that they have are cool, but the problem is that they don't fully expand it to its true capabilities. It's like releasing something that could be so much more than what it is now, but they are not looking to or moving too slow to improve on what they already have, and keep on releasing new features that are not fully documented or just doesn't provide enough usefulness.

**What problems is Symphony solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are partnered with them so I can't provide too many details, but that we use them for internal communications and we integrate our company's products with Symphony platform. And based on this requirement they have fulfilled it.

When compared to Lync or Skype, was more robust with options to creat and control rooms for specific conversations. 

**What do you dislike about Symphony?**

It wasn't our only choice for communication in our company, and our system is very secure, so getting established with the tool took extra steps and doesn't have the controls to keep it from attempting to login and failing which requires a few restarts to get launched correctly

**What problems is Symphony solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to pull employees within the company quickly into an issue and get them up to speed on the conversations we had prior to including them.

**What do you like best about Symphony?**

The ability to casually chat with a colleague without sending a formal e-mail.

**What do you dislike about Symphony?**

It will start with an empty screen even with the most recent updates and patches and will not fix until a reboot is applied. It does not start automatically when rebooting. It sends me e-mails that I missed a message but does not tell me which message I missed without logging into the app. It has no screen sharing or webcam features built in.

**Recommendations to others considering Symphony:**

I would consider other tools that provide easy webcam and screen sharing options along with the basic AIM style chat.

You can share files and informally collaborate with co-workers and external contacts.

**What do you like best about Symphony?**

Very secure collaborate be tool with multiroom chat facility. Users can create their own room, deploy self learning bots, call out other participants in the chat, share files secured and encrypted.

The tool is customizable and has great flexibility.

**What do you dislike about Symphony?**

The tool cannot replace Skype for business as at present or the version I am using doesn't support Audio, Video and screenshare.

**What do you like best about Symphony?**


The best part is you can create the groups, communicate and collaborate with people easily and securely. 
Also allows you to share your screen or file transfer etc.
You can automate your daily activities using the symphony bots and integrations, which is really amazing.

Nothing as such I found which I didn't like in this app.

The interface of Symphony is polished and makes it easy to locate chats with individuals

I had some difficulty with the notification settings but generally not a problem

We use Symphony as an internal system to interface with colleagues across the firm (huge, trillion-dollar AUM asset manager). Given that we have a lot of ties between teams and work that needs to be undertaken with different constituents from different teams, Symphony is the best way to reach out to those constituents.

**What do you like best about Symphony?**

Symphony has many different uses. It is nice to have chatrooms to broadcast a message directly to a big group of people. I appreciate this. It is especially nice in a tech environment to get many different responses from a large audience in a much quicker manner than a mass email. I enjoy checking chatrooms to keep on top of company news and such.

**What do you dislike about Symphony?**

I am not sure I see the reason for the chime feature. It can be very annoying. It also can be difficult to track responses to messages and cohesively read through a thread when there are so many people talking at once. A way to filter through for relevant messages could be a feature that would prove to be very helpful if implemented.

**What problems is Symphony solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Symphony is used in my company for collaboration, delivering mass messages, communicating with those around me, and sometimes even for fun. There are many different uses, but all positive for my company.
