## About SubmittalLink
SubmittalLink is construction submittal software and a project management tool that streamlines submittal workflows and provides comprehensive tools for managing construction documentation, communication, and project execution. The platform digitizes submittal processes by enabling users to create, submit, track, review, and approve construction submittals through a centralized cloud-based system, replacing manual processes and email chains that often cause delays and miscommunication on construction projects. The software addresses the critical challenge of managing submittal documentation and project coordination during construction project execution. Traditional submittal processes involve coordinating product data sheets, shop drawings, material samples, and equipment specifications across multiple project stakeholders, which frequently results in version control issues, missed deadlines, and compliance problems. SubmittalLink solves this by providing automated submittal routing, real-time status tracking, deadline notifications, and complete audit trails that ensure all parties have access to current submittal information and project data. Construction professionals use SubmittalLink to improve project coordination, reduce submittal cycle times, and manage multiple aspects of construction administration from a single platform. General contractors benefit from centralized oversight of all project submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), change orders, contracts, and punchlist items with filtering and search capabilities that make it easy to locate specific submissions and project documents. Subcontractors can submit documentation directly through the platform, track RFIs, and receive faster response times from reviewing parties. Architects and engineers gain efficient review workflows with markup tools for drawings and standardized approval processes for submittals and change orders. Key features include customizable submittal workflows that match each project's specific approval chains, RFI management for tracking questions and responses between project teams, drawing management with version control and markup capabilities, punchlist creation and tracking for quality control and project closeout, daily report generation for documenting field activities and progress, change order management for tracking project modifications and cost impacts, and contract management for organizing project agreements and documentation. The platform provides automated email notifications that alert stakeholders when action is required, mobile access for field teams to review submittals and update punchlist items on-site, and comprehensive reporting that provides visibility into submittal status, outstanding RFIs, and change order impacts across all active projects. The software supports various submittal types including shop drawings, product data, samples, and operation and maintenance manuals, with version control that maintains complete histories of all submittal revisions, RFI responses, drawing updates, and change order approvals. SubmittalLink integrates with existing construction management platforms, allowing submittal data, RFIs, and project documentation to sync with project schedules and document management systems. SubmittalLink serves construction companies of all sizes working on commercial construction, residential development, industrial facilities, and infrastructure projects where submittal management, RFI tracking, and construction documentation coordination are essential for maintaining project schedules, ensuring specification compliance, and delivering successful project outcomes.

**What do you like best about SubmittalLink?**

The customer support is legitimately excellent. Our account rep actually worked in construction before this role, so when I call him about workflow issues or approval bottlenecks, he gets it immediately. No explaining what a submittal log is or why RFI turnaround time matters. He's east coast based, I have his cell number, and I can just call him directly when something's urgent. That kind of access is rare with construction software vendors. Most platforms stick you in a support ticket system for days. The software handles our document workflows well enough, but honestly, having support that understands jobsite realities and project schedules is what makes it work for our team. When you're pushing to close out a phase or dealing with inspection deadlines, responsive support from someone who knows construction isn't just nice to have, it's essential for keeping projects moving.

**What do you dislike about SubmittalLink?**

The mobile app covers submittals, RFIs, drawings, and daily reports, but contracts and change orders aren't available. That's a problem when I'm on site and need to verify scope or check approved change order amounts during meetings with subs. I end up having to wait until I'm back at my desk to pull contract terms or confirm pricing on modifications. It breaks up conversations and slows down decision-making in the field. We run projects with constant changes and multiple subcontractor agreements, so not having full contract access on mobile creates real friction. I'm already out there with my phone or tablet. I shouldn't need my laptop just to reference a contract or process a change order. For a construction management platform, leaving financial documents out of the mobile experience feels like an oversight.

**What problems is SubmittalLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had documents scattered everywhere, network drives, personal email folders, shared drives that nobody organized consistently. Tracking down the current revision of a submittal or finding an RFI response meant searching through multiple locations, and things absolutely fell through the cracks. Approvals got missed, we had delays because someone claimed they never got a document, and our audit trail was a mess. Submittallink centralized everything into one system with proper notifications and tracking. Now when a submittal needs review or an RFI is overdue, people actually know about it. The approval cycles move faster, we've cut way down on the back-and-forth about who has what version, and coordination between our field team, subs, and architects improved significantly. I'm spending less time hunting for files and more time actually managing the work.

 ### 2. The most straightforward tool I've used for managing RFIs and submittals

**What do you like best about SubmittalLink?**

The speed is the biggest factor for me. It isn't just a small tweak to the workflow... it genuinely makes the whole submittal process about ten times faster. Being able to use templates instead of starting from scratch every single time is a lifesaver. Plus, if you need to make a revision to something that’s already in the system, it's actually simple to do. It just gets rid of all that repetitive clicking and data entry that usually eats up my day.

**What do you dislike about SubmittalLink?**

The main thing missing for us right now is a set of accounting modules. It handles the document side of construction really well, but it doesn't touch the financial or billing side of the house. You still have to jump out of the platform to handle your job costs or pay apps in another program. It's a bit of a bummer if you're looking for one single tool to do everything. but as far as submittals go, it does its job.

**What problems is SubmittalLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It really solves the "email abyss" problem. Before this, I was spending way too much time manually following up on RFIs and submittals just to make sure they didn't get buried in someone's inbox. Now, the system handles that tracking for us. It keeps all our project docs in one spot so we aren't guessing which version is the latest one. It has basically cut out a lot of the administrative noise and helped us avoid those "I never saw that email" conversations with subcontractors.

 ### 3. Intuitive submittal tracking that doesn't require hand-holding

**What do you like best about SubmittalLink?**

The interface works like excel, which means nobody needs training. You can sort, filter, and update statuses right in the cells. Our subs and consultants figured it out instantly. After years of forcing trades to navigate procore's nested menus or ACC's overcomplicated workflows, this is refreshing. The dashboards show what you need without burying information three clicks deep. When MEP contractors can track their submittal status in 10 seconds instead of calling the office, that's real efficiency. It handles the documentation and audit trails you need for compliance without making simple tasks complicated. The straightforward design means my superintendent uses it as much as the project engineers, which never happened with our previous platforms. Less time training people on software means more time actually building.

**What do you dislike about SubmittalLink?**

No integration with outlook or network drives creates unnecessary workarounds. When approved submittals need to go into our sharepoint repository, we're manually downloading and re-uploading files. When the structural engineer updates shop drawings, those revisions should flow directly to our shared drive where the steel fabricator accesses them. Instead, someone's manually transferring files.

**What problems is SubmittalLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gets everyone actually using the system. With procore or ACC, half my subs would still track submittals in excel because the platforms were too cumbersome. Then you're chasing people for updates and dealing with outdated information. Submittallink's simplicity means electrical contractors, HVAC vendors, and architectural consultants all stay current without constant hand-holding from my coordinators. Approval turnaround improved because reviewers aren't fighting the interface, they're focusing on the actual submittal content. We've cut resubmissions caused by people not following the process correctly. The time my team spent troubleshooting software issues or re-training trades now goes toward actual project coordination. When your biggest bottleneck is getting stakeholders to consistently use your document control system, a tool this accessible solves a major problem.
