**What do you like best about Spond?**

Time management, allows for growth at a pace that suits me. We have grown but the level of admin hasnt changed allowing me to focus on working on making our club better for all involved.
Charlene has been a key factor to introducing the product, and then account managing. I am always pushing the capabilities and Spond are very forward thinking. Its a really great system.

The safeguarding aspect of the system is amazing, and parents and coaches love how it works.

Tech isnt everyones cup of tea, but most boxes are ticked and people are now used to using it.

#itsonspond was a term well used by me, but that seems to be less as people have adapted.

I have juat set up the entire season and training for the whole club in 2 days, which absolutely fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Spond?**

The lack on auto generated payments, needs a Xero or accounting software integration.

Could do with an intergrated coaches availability calendar or a place to add holidays that would then appear on dates as they are entered.

The app only allows you send 100 messages at a time, so I am not able to send the whole family of 400 people a message at once.

Cant refund app payment requests.

Email account integration with outlook would be good, and logged telephone calls with the ability to make a note, but not a massive thing.

Finance payment request to be seen in app also.

Think thats all for now, but minor bits 

At some point a club sponsorship platform or ability to send info out for local business deals via a message, but can do that manually.

**What problems is Spond solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time, growth, communication, safeguarding, multiple clubs integration, account management, finance checking, I literally do everything in the club and most of it from my mobile.

**What do you like best about Spond?**

Easy to use across every platform. Easy to set up and get everyone on board. Easy to keep everyone up to date with what's going on and where. More importantly it lets you see who is coming to an event. Good social interaction. Overall brilliant tool to help save time. And it is free to use !

**What do you dislike about Spond?**

There is very little to not like about SPOND.

**Recommendations to others considering Spond:**

An outstanding app to help the brilliant volunteers involved in grassroots sports. Saves so much time and so much better than using WhatsApp. Everything you need in one package to help you run a team. And it is free. No gimmicks totally free.

**What problems is Spond solving and how is that benefiting you?**

People management - helps to store member information in one place. This includes linking a parent/guardian when the member is a child.  
Event planning - helps to get people organised  for football matches , training and tournaments  and seeing who is available
Keeping people informed- posting match reports and social information where people can message back and join in the conversation 
Polls - use to get the views of players and parents about social events etc.

**What do you like best about Spond?**

I find the most helpful part of the Spond app is the creation of the 'Events' and how quickly you can duplicate a previous event to reduce duplication. Also, the reminder functionality is very helpful to chase up non-responders quickly and efficiently!

**What do you dislike about Spond?**

I would like to be made aware more of the full functions and features of the App as new developments are made, I don't ever remember being notified or given any details on how to use these or could be beneficial to me, for example, the fundraising feature.

**Recommendations to others considering Spond:**

If you manage a team and need to organise it more efficiently and save valuable time download Spond!

**What problems is Spond solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Spond allows me to quickly and easily track the number of participants I have for each event, as availability is very important to ensure matches can be confirmed and take place. This saves me a great deal of time and effort compared to using Whatapp for example which is how I used to ask for availability and the information would easily get lost in the chat group, especially when working quite some time in advance. I would say that Spond saves me on average 2 hours per week which is hugely important to me!

**What do you like best about Spond?**

A great platform keeping all team data in one place. Can coordinate events, communicate individually or reach whole groups. Also the added benefits of collecting payments.

**What do you dislike about Spond?**

Sometimes parents comment that they find the app difficult to navigate. Would be great to get updates when the app has changes made.

**What problems is Spond solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The fact that all contact data can be kept on SPOND means it doesn't have to be stored on computer. Much easier to communicate events & changes in real time.

**What do you like best about Spond?**

Spond is an easy to use and intuitive application, accessible via a mobile App and the web. It is very robust, secure and helps streamline managing a sports club.

**What do you dislike about Spond?**

There are a few elements of added functionality I'd like to see but very minor enhancements.

**What problems is Spond solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Spond helps us select and manage teams as well as collect both membership and match fee payments. This cuts down the work of the club volunteers significantly.

**What do you like best about Spond?**

We use this to organise events for our charity. It means everything is in one place, beneficiaries know what is happening, what they have booked and all the details rather than us having to use multiple platforms. This cuts down our admin time and duplication.

**What do you dislike about Spond?**

Couple of little quirks, we have mentioned them and hopefully they will get sorted. 

Having to book children individually on events - when you have multiple children it's a pain (and expensive with transaction fees) 

Not being able to have different prices for events (such as carers or discounted siblings), this means we have to use the payment request feature, which is great (but makes the back end work harder)

**Recommendations to others considering Spond:**

Consider it, it may be primarily a sports club app, but it has many applications, and could easily expand into other sectors with a few tweaks

**What problems is Spond solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Spond is helping us utilise more administrators within the app, which means it doesn't all fall on 1 person 
It helps us with managing waiting lists and having most things all in one place. 
It's cut down our time which as volunteers is all good

**What do you like best about Spond?**

The ability to set a maximum number of attendees for specific events, and also have them scheduled in advance. The communication with juniors, including their guardians, the ability to take payment directly via the app, and this setting members as attending, means that we don't have members turning up saying they will 'pay next week' etc.

**What do you dislike about Spond?**

There is no credit facility built-in. So if a player pays for a session, and 2-3 days before they become ill (or contract covid, etc.), we have to add the amount they paid into a custom field manually. Then when able to attend, they have to request to use the credit they have, and we have to manually add them. If there was a way to set up rules that automatically gave credit if declined x days before scheduled start (perhaps set this on the event), and members could use this credit towards other events, paying any remaining in the same way.

**Recommendations to others considering Spond:**

Understand fully the difference between Spond Club and the Spond App first. Pre-determine who will do what within the organisation for admin roles, hosts etc.

**What problems is Spond solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We no longer have issues where players turn up without paying, and no money is owed to us as a club by members. We are much more productive now, and the memberships and events are much better managed. We also have a good insight as to how many are turning up in advance, and whom. As a coach, this is invaluable to organise a good session.

**What do you like best about Spond?**

The ease of setting up events, sending out invites, and tallying who is "in" and "out" for each game makes Spond very useful from an administrator standpoint. My teammates appreciate the ease with which they can respond to invites and enjoy the platforms flexibility across its app, the Spond website, text, and email.

**What do you dislike about Spond?**

The messaging features in Spond need a major overhaul. Messages appear in numerous places--in events, in event responses, and in groups--making it very hard to track and respond to conversations. It would be so much easier if there was a unified place for all messages.

**Recommendations to others considering Spond:**

Set up your season in advance...it will save time versus using the platform one game at a time.

**What problems is Spond solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem Spond solves for me is keeping track of which of my players is available for each game. It allows me to do so with less effort than previous platforms I have used that provided similar benefits.

**What do you like best about Spond?**

Spond is an incredibly user-friendly solution that allows us as an organisation to manage over 200 participants to get involved in over 100 events throughout the year. This has literally saved us hours of work!

**What do you dislike about Spond?**

As we use this as a management solution for our volunteers, it would be good to recognise high attendance or log volunteering hours within the app. However, we understand this is a different way to what the app was designed.

**What problems is Spond solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have solved the whole management of over 200 young people from across several secondary schools to facilitate and maximise volunteering opportunities within our community and beyond. Such things as communication between parents and us has vastly improved. We have seen an improvement in attendance at events and all of this through the power of Spond!

Management of membership and details. Ease of managing subscriptions.

Nothing. Spond gives us everything we need to manage our membership, group them into teams, communicate with each team.

So easy to use, great database, immediate help from Spond if needed.

**What problems is Spond solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Membership database. All our members are invited to Spond, and then take ownership of their personal details on the database. It is all held following data privacy laws, and can be accessed by only those who need to see it. 
Collection of fees. We have immediate payment, and have collected 100% of fees within a month of the start of the season.
Communication. We use Spond to communicate with teams for availability and events.

Being able to manage availability and team selection has been really easy with Spond. It is also a useful place to put match information and team information too.

**What do you dislike about Spond?**

It would be a very nuanced function but being able to differentiate between different levels of players would be useful. So for example, a fullly paid up member of my team would have priority of training sessions (where I impose a limit on numbers) to a casual pay as you go member

Reducing time spent on administration and spending more time on the field is really important to me and Spond takes away some of the burden of having to continually message parents

**What do you like best about Spond?**

I have been using Spond since the start of the 2021-22 Rugby Season to manage 3 x Girls teams of differing age groups. The set up is simple and I love how I can manage all 3 teams by age group, completely separately or as one large group. Adding new players is simple, adding/loading fixtures and Posts also very simple, and easy for both me as Admin and the player/parent users.  I am delighted that I made the switch to this product from my previous team management app

I also like that I can add additional criteria to enable me to categorise the players further as required. Particularly important for our set up. 

In our set up we have brought together girls from different clubs to play as one, yet we can add them all simply under the Rugby Hub

**What do you dislike about Spond?**

Inabity to delete old "chats" from Messages.

**Recommendations to others considering Spond:**

Spond has without doubt made my life as a Team Manager of 3 teams of different age groups, so much simpler and effective. It saves me time and the interface is easy for all no matter how tech savvy they are.

We recently evaluated the use of Spond by our members, and they were unanimously positive about the tool. It makes communication so much easier! It helps of having all events in one place, and it makes it super convenient when someone joins later throughout the year; you just invite them to the group, and they know everything about upcoming events, locations, hours...

**What do you dislike about Spond?**

The messaging feature could be improved: notifications don't always work, and you can't tag anyone. It would also be nice to bulk respond to a series of events after an invitation is send.

**What problems is Spond solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No need to send new mails when an event gets rescheduled or a location has changed. Just a minor edit in the Spond event, and all members automatically have all the most up-to-date information.

**What do you like best about Spond?**

I simply LOVE Spond, the whole app. As a club, we simply could not operate without it. It's so intuitive and simple to use. It has enabled us to grow our multi-sports club because we can manage all our activities across the whole club in one place. We can quickly and easily get information to our participants, even if we have to make changes last minute, we can keep a track of attendance, we can share stories and chat about the bits we are interested in, we cab set up easy payments for our events, we can schedule a whole season and enable our members to have an overview of what is coming up and much more besides.

**What do you dislike about Spond?**

We would like to be able to set up Direct debits for our members but this feature is not yet available. Spond are very good at listening to their users so it may well be in development already.

Do it. It has made so much possible for us.

We could not have grown our club without Spond as it would just have taken too long to arrange activities and keep up to date with attendance and activity changes. Spond enables us to have instant access to that.

Spond gives our club a one-stop system to manage our membership and events/activities.    
Spond helps save volunteers time while covering the essential issues like GDPR.      The ever-growing features also mean they as a company seem to be listing to us users, which gives me faith this is a long-term solution to running our club.

**What do you dislike about Spond?**

Not much for me to dislike as this is a free to use product,  which makes me wonder why more people don't use spond.

**Recommendations to others considering Spond:**

If you are managing a large sports club and need a solution to resolve communication,  payments and membership then this product is the one for you.  
If nothing else try it !

**What problems is Spond solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication is made more accessible if I need to contact a parent or helper.  I  can go onto the APP and message them directly.    While at the same time, restrictions are in place to stop others from having this access.  This solves the issue around communication but also helps solve any concerns around GDPR.
Event organisation,   We can set up an event which then parents can tell us if they are attending and I can also see who has not answered.
Registration,  our coaches can take a register to see who is attending training and a record is then held in Spond.

**What do you like best about Spond?**

Spond is super convenient to use from mobile phones and has all the tools required for registering attendance, organising sessions and events, and communicating with all users. We even use it for taking payments!

**What do you dislike about Spond?**

We have used Spond for over a year now, and I honestly have not found anything missing. Whenever we need to do something new in the club, we find that Spond can accommodate it.

**What problems is Spond solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Spond has helped us manage our growth (in a junior sports club) from dozens of kids to 150. We can manage session numbers more effectively (especially useful during covid restrictions) and also take payments through the app which is great. We moved all our communication from WhatsApp to Spond as it is clearer for parents. They have loads of WhatsApp chats going but only us on Spond...

Simple to use, the fixture import feature means managing my team is simple to set up and I automated emails and reminders mean I stay on top of everything with minimal effort,

Not much. Would like the messages to mark as read once they are read, rather than having to mark them manually. Otherwise, love the product

Spond allows you to gather a large amount of availability data in one place, far more efficiently than emails or shared spreadsheets.

Some parents have found it hard to register, that may be user error as it is a small number.

It is excellent for gathering availability for sporting clubs.

Organization, in past years we have used shared spreadsheets, emails etc. Spond has been the first solution we haven't dropped after one season.

The app does pretty much everything that we need to help run the admin side of our sports club. Very easy payment integration too!

Although the app is free, the pricing model favours larger payments vs smaller payments. But they are very transparent about the fees.

Give it a go - completely free to use all features bar accepting payments, so nothing to lose!

**What do you like best about Spond?**

Spond is easy to handle and very simple to install all people in our organisation. We use spond in many ways and it helps us to stay in permanent contact with our whole staff.

**What do you dislike about Spond?**

I cannot find anything what i dislike so far. We are very satisfied with the outcome of the app. All our needs are covered by the app and the staff is working with it very good.

We are able to have our communication with the coaching staff, staff and players on one tool. This improves our organisation a lot and helps to solve resources for our main job. Our biggest benefit out of spond is that we can keep all informations together and we are able to have short ways to each other.

Spond is very intuitive to use and it is an absolute breeze to set up. We primarily use the app for training and match day availability - this has saved us an incredible amount of time compared to managing availability manually. In future, we will be looking to integrate our membership payments and polls within Spond as well.

There is truly nothing that I dislike about the Spond app. Everything works exactly as it should.

I would absolutely recommend using Spond. It has been a huge time saver, and the product itself is fantastic.

The key problem we are solving with Spond is collecting training and match day availability. Previously, we were utilizing Facebook polls to collect our players' availability. On Facebook, it was very difficult to keep track of as we have 3 different teams and a number of other polls ongoing on Facebook. Since switching to Spond, we have saved a massive amount of time and effort as we have all of the data in one place. This also allows us to have a historical look at player availability when considering team selections.

The calendar is clear and syncs with phones. Additionally, the ability to communicate via broad channel or per game/practice is fantastic. Tracking attendance also give me insight into who is available and helps me plan for games or practices appropriately.

While I actually find it easy to use, the bulk scheduling or editing could be a bit easier. When trying to update attendees for multiple events, it must be done one by one.

Attendance tracking for games and events is vital to efficient management of the team and filling vacancies. The ability to communicate is also incredible as I can go broad or specific.
