What do you like best about Jersey Watch?
Registration & payments
– The ability to build custom forms—capturing age divisions, weight classes, singlet sizes, emergency contact info—has saved us many hours compared to paper-based or spreadsheet-based systems. For example, we no longer need to hand out forms, chase checks, or manually upload collected data.
– Online payments and automated receipts mean fewer late payments, fewer lost checks, and a much clearer ledger of who’s signed up and paid.
Website & online presence
– Our club now has a clean‐looking website with youth-sports-friendly design. Information for parents and wrestlers (practice times, tournament calendar, team news) is all centralized.
– When I need to update something—say adding a new practice date or changing a meet time—I can do so in minutes and it shows live for parents and athletes. That real-time update ability matters when things change mid-season.
Communication tools
– With wrestling especially—where matches, practices and tournaments may get changed, canceled or rescheduled—we’ve found the text/email blast feature incredibly valuable. One message covers all the families and coaches at once.
– Having the contact-manager in one place, rather than mixing spreadsheets, handwritten lists and emails, makes us look more professional and saves time.
Time‐savings & volunteer relief
– Being volunteer-led, Bridgeport Youth Wrestling heavily depends on coaches and parents donating time. Jersey Watch has relieved a lot of the behind‐the‐scenes workload. Fewer late nights building Excel sheets, fewer follow‐up phone calls about registration status, fewer “where’s the schedule?” questions.
– Because the platform is designed for sports organizations (and specifically mentions wrestling in its features) we didn’t have to cobble together multiple tools ourselves. In fact, their wrestling-specific page outlines exactly the features we needed for a club like ours.
Customer service
– Whenever we had a question or needed help (for example, tweaking a registration workflow or embedding a link to a tournament sign-up) the Jersey Watch support team was responsive, professional and helpful. This is consistent with many reviews from other youth sports organizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Jersey Watch?
Areas for improvement (but none deal-breakers for us):
A few of the more advanced reporting options (e.g., highly customized exports or very complex fee structures) are slightly limited. One review noted:
No real reporting functionality and some team management features I would like to have are not available at this time.
In our case, the built-in reporting covers 90% of what we need—so this is only a minor note.
A small learning curve for building the registration form exactly the way we wanted: age divisions, weight classes, optional add-ons. After a couple of seasons, we’ve refined our setup and now it works smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
