What do you like best?

Spaulding Ridge took time to properly understand all of our challenges and current architecture before discussing any solutions. Eric took the time to deeply understand underlying drivers, visualize a clear solution, and stayed engaged throughout the entirety of the project. What do you dislike?

The project did take longer than expected, we had to push some things out of scope, and ran into blockers that were not foreseen, but they rode with us the entire way and pulled in expert resources when needed. They were easy to work with through challenges and project adjustments, and their resources were fast to the table when we ran into blockers. What problems are you solving with the provider? What benefits have you realized?

We were looking to enhance confusion on CPQ output documents, change architecture to automate billing processes, address manual current contract and renewal processes, and enhance the flexibility and speed of approvals.

While the timeline was pushed and not a perfect solution at go-live, today we have a solution that addresses all of our challenges coming into the engagement. It saves hundreds of hours annually in manual work, produces a far more intuitive quote building and customer output experience, and has provided the approval processes needed for continued growth. What do you like best?

Having one set of consultants to work with from start to finish of our project. The development of their knowledge of our business and their expertise and collaboration with the software vendor made delivery possible. We wouldn't have been able to develop and deliver the critical business process workflows by the deadline of our ERP replacement project without them. It's as simple as that. Spaulding Ridge has helped Whirlpool with many projects. Primarily, the implementation of Anaplan and also Salesforce Community. What do you like best?

When working with Spaulding Ridge, I feel as though we are working with an extension of the Whirlpool Team. We have been consistently working with the same resources and feel as though they experience all of our wins and challenges with us. We strongly value the strong, transparent relationship that we have built with the Spaulding Ridge team to the point where we often engage them for their thought leadership in potential roadmap items. What do you dislike?

One area that I believe can be improved upon is standardization of the scrum framework as it relates to Sprint Reviews and Velocity Tracking. Many times we find ourselves instructing standard agile items where I would expect would be a standard coming from them as an Software implementation company. What do you like best?

Easy to work with. Ability to take broad concepts and strategies, iterate, and execute in Salesforce. Ability to push back and say what is not feasible with Salesforce, or what requires custom build. What do you dislike?

In the middle of the project, we felt like there were a couple concepts the SR team wasn't grasping, but once we had the team shadow a few of our team members in operations, it became much more clear what some of our end goals were. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Driving more automation with customer service. Reducing complexity with our scheduling and logistics team. Improving customer service. Having more data that we can react to.

What do you like best?

Highly knowledgeable of the system (Anaplan) and enjoyable to work with. Creative and elegant solutions to complex problems. Alexander Jackson was a particularly bright spot in the project. He was incredibly flexible and hard working - Alexander was incredible when it came to solutioning complex problems and accommodating additional requests. Alexander Jackson really made the project successful and was great to work with - I would recommend Alexander for any project, he was tremendous to work with. What do you dislike?

Spaulding Ridge struggled with the management of this project - particularly from the PM and Executive Sponsor standpoint.

To begin with, we had a PM that had never PM'd any project before (and this was a large project) and was immediately overwhelmed. The second PM on the project had no time to dedicate to the project as the other engagement they were staffed on was in South America and took up all of the PM's time. To resolve this issue Spaulding Ridge decided to make the Solution Architect (SA) on the project also be the PM. This project was large enough that both of those roles are too big to only have half of the time dedicated to them - this caused many deadlines to start missing, items that the SA was intended to be taking being pushed off to other model builders that already had a entirely full workloads, and a lack of communication with the customer.

The Executive Sponsor was particularly poor on this project and didn't seem to think that staffing a full-time PM was necessary and that the SA could handle both of the roles. When this was brought up by the customer (on multiple occasions) the concern was brushed off as a non-issue. This gave the impression that the project wasn't actually important to the Executive Sponsor and made the customer feel incredibly dissatisfied (bordering on offended) and that they and the success of the project were ultimately not important to the Executive Sponsor and Spaulding Ridge.

Once the issues were brought up and identified Spaulding Ridge took the appropriate steps to mitigate the issues and put the right people in the right places to complete a successful implementation. Spaulding Ridge did a great job of addressing staffing issues by putting additional resources on the project to fill any gaps that were missing to ensure that they successfully completed the project and addressed all requirements appropriately. Ensure that Spaulding Ridge does their homework up front to ensure they understand all of the requirements of a project. Also, ensure that a seasoned PM is staffed on your project to mitigate issues down the line. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Budgeting, Forecasting, and Reporting across 4 businesses and approximately 50 legal entities. This includes workforce planning, G&A overhead allocation, and financial eliminations across various business units with varying legal entities in accordance with SOX regulations. What do you like best?

The best part of Spaulding Ridge was working with the Model Builder (Alex) and Solutions Architect (Evan). These gentlemen really new their stuff when it comes to Anaplan. I really learned a lot from them and they were a big asset in helping us undertake this project. I would happily work with both of them again! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Spaulding Ridge struggled to support our project with a PM. The first PM they provided had never PM'd a project before and started there first day on our project. This resulted in the Solutions Architect also trying to PM. This distraction created issues within the Anaplan model itself and stretched the SA too thin.

We raised the issue that this was not a viable solution and the rotation of interim PM's started. This rotating door of PM's continued to detract the SA from the build and resulted in a myriad of issues that resulted in missed deadlines, re-work, and frustrated clients.

In addition to the PM issue, the Spaulding Ridge executive sponsor failed to maintain regular involvement in the project. All of this resulted in me personally not recommending Spaulding Ridge for future Anaplan implementations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We are rolling out Anaplan for Incentive Compensation Management. Prior to starting this project, all of our calculations have been extremely manual and cumbersome. They have a staff of highly knowledgable individuals focusing on ICM and Anaplan, providing us with a great understanding of best practices in some highly nuanced areas of ICM. What do you like best?

Spaulding Ridge was exceptionally hands on and flexible. They took the time to understand our industry and our specific needs with CPQ, and ultimately delivered a highly customized solution that perfectly met the needs of our business.

Spaulding ridge was able to seamlessly integrate their CPQ development with Conga Quote Generation and delivered customized customer facing quote templates that fills a tremendous gap for our organisation.

Our entire Spaulding Ridge support team (Collin Pullums, Kevin Toner, Matt Bernloehr, Katharine Miller, and Kristina Lee) were an absolute pleasure to work with.
