The biggest bottleneck is supplier adoption—vendors don't always log in regularly to check or update information, meaning you still end up chasing details via email, which reduces the platform's full effectiveness until everyone is fully onboarded and engaged. The Automation of mundane tasks was huge for my team. Constant emails and phone calls were very difficult to keep up with and keep track of. Being able to look at a dashboard and see whether or not a response was needed, then follow up in that same space and track the history of the communication and changes was not only a massive time saver, but it ensured that the follow up happened and that a response was received. It helped us to hold ourselves and the supplier accountable. Accuracy within our ERP was also very much improved. In the past, even when a conversation happened and a change was accepted, updating the PO in our ERP was a separate task and would get missed. This led to inaccurate planning and parts shortages. I can't say enough about the efficiency and accuracy gains on the team, we are doing more work with less people, we've reduced inventory and improved on time delivery. The platform is great, I have no complaints. You just need to be sure your team and supply base buy into it and really adopt it. Change is hard, but don't have a foot in two worlds, you will not realize all of the benefits if you don't embrace it and funnel the work through the platform. I use SourceDay Platform for Purchase Order Management and it helps me get visibility into where my orders are at and if any changes in quantity or cost are happening. The aspect of Sourceday that is most helpful to me is the ability to manage all of our purchase orders and communication at the same time through one universal platform. The system works as a direct link into our ERP system. This ensures that our suppliers always have access to exactly what our system states. SourceDay makes it very convenient and easy to keep up with purchase orders and make changes/corrections to them if needed. I like how it links to the internal system that we use, so if a change is made on our end in our system, it will update on SourceDay and notify the supplier/vendor. The downside to SourceDay is that a supplier/vendor does not regularly check for updates throughout the day. This can be fixed by making sure you and your supplier/vendor are on the same page when using SourceDay. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the fact that I can tag specific line items as "hot" and visualize that urgency with the little fire icon. Having one space to consolidate all changes to a PO or line item is very helpful, espeically when looking back to see the history of an order. I have noticed that the "supplier requested updates" and the "buyer requested updates" tab for an ERD can get easily confused. An example of this is, I have recommneded to the supplier that we push out the ERD to 11/15. After proposing the new date, I noticed that I immediately had a new message in the "Updates" tab, and it looked like the system was directing me to accept my own proposed date push.
