"Standardized Demand Intake That Drives Objective Prioritization and ROI"
4/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

The demand management intake and scoring framework is a major strength. It standardizes how new project requests are evaluated, allowing us to objectively score business value, risk, and technical feasibility. This has eliminated ad-hoc prioritization and ensures teams focus only on projects that drive measurable ROI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

The interface for submitting and tracking demands can feel unintuitive and overwhelming, especially for non-technical stakeholders. Since intake forms require extensive detail, casual users often find the process cumbersome without dedicated onboarding.

Furthermore, from a performance standpoint, dashboards with large portfolio datasets can experience noticeable latency when filtering or aggregating demand metrics.

The integrations with third-party tools like Jira or external spreadsheets require considerable administrative setup and maintenance to ensure seamless data synchronization.

Finally, given ServiceNow's enterprise pricing, achieving a clear ROI takes longer if adoption is hindered by the steep learning curve, making it essential to have strong internal enablement from day one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplifies Portfolio Management with User-Friendly UI"
4/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

I like its roadmap view which allows us to see every lead and resource on a single screen, saving us from planning meetings separately. The Jira integration keeps our dev teams happy and in their normal tools, which helps us get accurate status automatically. The roadmaps help to drag initiatives and see conflicts before committing, saving time. We switched to ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management because its UI is simple to operate, and we can configure scoring and portfolios much easier. The implementation is easier compared to other applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

The reporting is limited which leads us to Tableau for getting detailed information about anything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One Portfolio Management with Clear Dashboards and Automation"
4.5/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

What I like most is having everything in one place. Instead of tracking projects across different tools, we can manage demand, projects, resources, and portfolios within ServiceNow SPM. The dashboards give a clear picture of project status, and the automation has reduced a lot of the manual follow-up our team used to do. Once you get familiar with it, it becomes an important part of day-to-day portfolio management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

The biggest challenge for us was the initial setup and learning curve. There are a lot of features, which is great, but it can feel overwhelming for new users. Some configurations also require support from experienced ServiceNow administrators. Better out-of-the-box templates for common use cases would make onboarding easier. "Good platform for managing projects"
4/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

What I liked best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management was its clean interface and the way it keeps project information organized in one place. Even with limited use, I found it easy to navigate and useful for tracking work and getting a quick overview of project progress. It seems well integrated with the ServiceNow platform, which can help teams collaborate more efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

Since I only used it for a short time, I found that the platform has a learning curve, and some features were not immediately intuitive. The interface can feel overwhelming at first because there are many options and settings. More guided tutorials or onboarding resources would make it easier for new users to get started. "Powerful Portfolio Visibility and Alignment with Seamless ServiceNow Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

I like ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management because it helps organizations align business goals with project execution in one platform. It provides clear visibility into portfolios, resources, budgets, and project progress, enabling better prioritization and decision-making. I also appreciate its seamless integration with other ServiceNow modules and its flexibility to support different business needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

One aspect I dislike is that ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management has a learning curve, especially for new users because of its wide range of features and configuration options. However, once users become familiar with the platform, it becomes a powerful tool for managing portfolios, projects, and resources effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Portfolio Management but Setup Complexity Persists"
4.5/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

I really like the portfolio level visibility that ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management offers. It's great to be able to view initiatives across a broader portfolio instead of just individual projects. I can see their priorities, timelines, dependencies, resource requirements, and overall progress. This makes the portfolio discussions more data-driven, helping us see where attention or resources are needed. I also found the initial setup to be quite balanced and confident, which was a pretty good experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

I think SPM has a broad set of capabilities, but this can make the platform a little bit complex, particularly when setting up the portfolio structures, the process, and reporting requirements. The quality of the insights also depends heavily on having accurate and consistently maintained project and financial data. Simplifying the configuration and making it easier for users to understand is something that I would like to see moving forward in SPM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strong Project Tracking, Though Initial Loading Is Slow"
5/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

I like the sprint tracking, ticket management, and project management features. I use sprint tracking for each 15-day workforce management sprint to track workforce capacity and each team member’s work updates. Team members can raise tickets when they have a work-related issue. I can track project status and complete projects within the timeline. The initial setup was very easy with help from the support team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

I’d like the initial loading time to improve. When I open ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management, it takes a little bit more time to load. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cleaner Project Workspace and Strong Illustrative Portfolio Dashboards in ServiceNow SPM"
4/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

The Project workspace is cleaner and also provide detailed visibility on project status. I mainly used for project scheduling and planning, resource planning and risk mitigation plan, as these involves more complex sub-tasks and needs better visibility, out of applications that I used for project planning service now provides better workspace for these tasks in my experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

Eventhough it provides detailed status on dashboards, sometimes it is bit cluttered while viewing the plan on it's entirety. The AI inetgrations are better but the performance of AI for complex data models are not that much competitive Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Hands-Down Best Choice — Reliable, Easy to Use, and Quick to Set Up"
5/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

This is seriously the best option out there, hands down! It's so reliable, I've never had any issues with it. Plus, it's incredibly easy to figure out and get started with. I was up and running in no time at all. Honestly, if you're looking for something that works great and is simple to use, you can't go wrong with this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

So far, everything has been pretty great. I haven't encountered anything that's really let me down yet, and it's always nice when things meet or exceed expectations. I'm genuinely enjoying the experience and hope it continues that way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Connects Strategic Objectives to Agile Execution with Excellent Portfolio Visibility"
5/5
What do you like best about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

The ability to seamlessly connect high level strategic objectives with team level agile execution is its biggest strength. It provides excellent visibility across the entire portfolio, ensuring that our sprint deliverables are always aligned with the broader business roadmap and highest-value priorities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management?

While it handles high level portfolio tracking very well, the interface for day to day sprint execution and backlog refinement can feel heavy and less intuitive compared to dedicated, standalone agile tools. Navigating between team level tasks and portfolio epics sometimes requires too many clicks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
