&lt;p&gt;The registrar emails never fully stop, they change subject. Schools I&#39;ve talked to saw the what&#39;s-my-balance and did-my-payment-post messages drop fastest wherever posting is truly real time, which is the Workday-style strength. Degree-progress views only cut email volume once advisors commit to the same screen students see; if advising keeps its own spreadsheet, students learn the portal is a rumor and go back to email. Mobile adoption follows trust, not app quality.&lt;/p&gt;
