Senteon provides deep, policy-level visibility and granular control over system configurations that we hadn’t been able to achieve with other tools. It makes enforcing, auditing, and monitoring baselines straightforward across our client environments. The drift alerting has been especially valuable, helping us identify hidden child settings in Intune that were applied due to parent policies that had user impact. Senteon surfaced the issue immediately and helped us resolve it quickly.

The ability to control settings down to the individual registry or policy object level is excellent, and we can tailor baselines per client or use case. Integration with our RMM was smooth, and the well-documented API makes automation and reporting easy. We’re also encouraged by their roadmap—it’s clear they’re innovating with MSPs in mind. There’s very little to genuinely dislike. The API is currently read-only, which limits some of the automation we’d like to implement—but the fact that a stable, well-documented API exists at all is a big plus. Based on our experience, the team is iterating quickly, and it's clear they’re listening closely to MSPs and prioritizing real-world needs. Any limitations we’ve encountered feel temporary, not fundamental. I love the fact that Senteon studies the compliance requirements and maps then to the device level policies. This saves us so much time. Also, Senteon understands that we must balance this against user disruption. Senteon allows us to lock down device policies gradually.

Maybe Senteon is considered a vulnerability tool, but it's not a tool like any other I've seen. Senteon manages device policies, not exploitable software bugs as are generally thought of as vulernabilities. This is typically done with Group Policy but that technology is old, insecure, unverifiable, flaky, lacking in visibility, complicated, and unreliable. Senteon stands out for its robust alignment with the Windows ecosystem and its intuitive interface that simplifies the management and security of a vast range of configuration options. Its exceptional adherence to NIST 800-171, CIS benchmarks, and valuable MITRE mapping ensure we're always compliant, easily fulfilling SOC 2 and HIPAA controls related to baseline configurations. While Senteon has been an overall positive experience, as with any software, there's always room for improvement. I'd love to see more detailed customization options within the dashboard, allowing for an even more tailored user experience. These are minor points in the grand scheme of our benefits from using Senteon. We're also waiting for Windows Server, macOS, and Linux hardening baselines to be released as well. I love that I can finally implement a reliable and verifiable means of system hardening for client organizations with a simple Powershell script and a few clicks in a browser window. It was very simple to deploy on multiple devices in multiple client organizations such that I had them all up in less than an hour fully configured with monitoring for settings drift. As others have mentioned, this is still a new company with a novel solution for a problem I've been having for years. While some of the features that I'd love to have today are still in development, new features have been implemented consistently within their promised timelines. Senteon provides a solution for setting and managing the granular details of system hardening. Being able to easily deploy a configuration and take for granted the device is always in alignment is a game changer. System hardening has historically been a time-consuming effort with inconsistent results because the level of detail required is high and changes often happen over time. Not necessarily a dislike, but the edges of the product are still being softened. The core functionality is fantastic, still adding tweaks to make the user experience more seamless. Senteon saves me time by providing a pre-built list of best-practice security configurations for our endpoints. Without Senteon, I would have to hunt down all of these settings manually. Right now, configuration settings are not available for Windows Server. This means that our security configuration settings are currently split between multiple platforms. Senteon takes the guess work out of building out a system hardening process that is repeatable and attestible. Unlike manual processes, that you really don't have a good way to determine if they are actually properly working.
