The AI needs to be very precise in order to get a useful summary from it **What problems is Rollstack solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have a bunch of reports that we run each month with loads of different views from Tableau. Each month we are copying and pasting in the graphs and it's really time consuming and by default expensive. This will save us a lot of time and allow us to put resources into other areas of the business and should minimize human errors when creating the charts too. ### 2. To the point of delivering new functionality when asked about features. It's been pretty awesome thus far. **What do you dislike about Rollstack?** If I were to make some suggestions for future roadmap items, having used the tool now for a couple of months focused on Tableau use cases I would suggest: 1 - Allow variables to extend into filters. Being able to, for example, reference a Visualisation filter value (Brand = Jack Daniles) and put that into the refreshed Slides content would be pretty powerful 2 - Continue to add more capabilities that Tableau Custom views support. Sort decisions, Includes, Excludes. 3 - It can be cumbersome to update large destinations like Slide Decks with filter values that need to change in a recurring process. If I have a Slides document with 20 slides, across 10 datsources, it can be confusing to remember how to update filter values like date selections every month. It would be great to have something like a FIlter admin screen, report, etc instead of having to look at each visual one by one. 4 - Integration with Sheets/Excel as a destination. We struggled with getting our visualizations into the hands of our operations teams. We relied on them logging into Tableau, navigating to the workbooks relevant to them, setting up their own filters/views, and subscribing to those views. A tedious and wasteful process to expect our operations teams to do this on their own, over and over again, for everyone that needed the information. Rollstack offers a solution that allows us to "push" the information straight to our employees. We can easily create the visuals w/ filters that we want our users to see, and then create variants of these visuals for our unique business units, value streams, and production lines. It really solves the "last mile" problem that our business intelligence team struggled with. I think Rollstack is a very easy to use tool and it's value cannot be overstated. It serves as a critical tool in our company now, and we couldn't imagine operating without it. **What do you dislike about Rollstack?** There is a little bit of a learning curve to understand how the software works, how filters are setup, and where the information is stored. It's still early for this product; there aren't too many bells and whistles. However, the ability to pull from disparate data sources automatically has been invaluable to our team's efficiency. Also, their Customer Support team is world-class. We've even had situations where a user made an error and our Support Manager reached out even before we could write her in Slack. **What do you dislike about Rollstack?** The raw information provided by its AI is generally correct, but prompting it properly can take a couple tries and the contextual output is not something I'd feel comfortable putting in front of Director/VP level persona. I prefer to have a human in the loop, though, so I don't really see this as a massive issue. **What problems is Rollstack solving and how is that benefiting you?** Unless your data org is extremely advanced, your data will likely live in different sources and be a pain to gather/filter all in one time and place. We have a Marketing Deck, for example, that used to- in aggregate- take 6 hours a month. Rollstack has transformed that into 2 hours. ### 7. It's easy for our CSMs to create custom EBRs for our clients with specific date ranges, and then further customize these presentations to their heart's content. It removes a lot of the grunt work, so they can focus on higher value additions. I also really like how respoinsive their team is if I'm ever running into any issues or have questions. They're also good about proactively communicating about additional features on their roadmap, which we're very excited about! Pretty strighforward to implement; it was self serve, I just had to block out some time to get it done. **What do you dislike about Rollstack?** I'm still figuring out the best way to do version control. It also requires a data person (ie. me) to create any charts they need for EBRs / any type of reporting. It's not really something, our finance team for example, could use by themselves, at least with our current set up. Some features that are especially good in my eyes are: - Images do not get distorted or re-scaled when pasted into slidedecks. - Variant creation and maintenance is easy through the use of Collections. - Able to handle large requests, without complications like modifications to the graphs, shuffeling slidedecks etc. - Easy to use interface and setting up of Destinations and Collections. **What do you dislike about Rollstack?** Every software has its downsides. For me, those include: - Application can be slow, especially as the slidedecks and the underlying dashboards grow larger. - Navigating Looker folder structures is unoptimal. - Needing to manually set everything up in the beginning. **What problems is Rollstack solving and how is that benefiting you?** Simply put: there is no alternative that works well at this scale. Internally developed solutions struggle with accuracy and large volumes of slides & Looker itself has no native solution. ### 23. Rollstack works relatively well. For example, ik can be difficult to swap slides, or when duplicating slides it can suddenly make 4 duplicates instead of 1. Also, after a few months the limit of uploaded slides to a slidedeck is reached and we have to do manual stuff to get rollstack running again.
