  ### 1. Rho’s Reliability and Scripted Support Make It Hard to Recommend

**What do you like best about Rho?**

When I’m choosing a bank, the only thing that truly matters is reliability. Everything else (UI/UX, integrations, dashboards, rewards) is secondary. Unfortunately, Rho falls short on that most basic requirement, and when reliability isn’t there, all the other features lose their value. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend it.

**What do you dislike about Rho?**

Be cautious when using Rho’s services. They used to be good a few years ago, but that hasn’t been my experience lately. Customer service responds quickly, but most of the time it feels no different than talking to a bot. No one actually resolves the issue; they just read from scripts. If you don’t want to spend your entire week chasing support and fixing their mistakes on your own, I’d recommend choosing a different bank.

**What problems is Rho solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We originally chose Rho because of the modern UI, integrations, and startup-focused positioning. On paper, it looked like a great fit for an early-stage company trying to stay lean and move fast.
But over time, we found ourselves spending an unreasonable amount of time dealing with operational issues, following up with support, and trying to fix problems that should not require constant escalation. The responses are usually quick, but very rarely lead to actual resolution or ownership.
We needed a banking partner that reduced operational friction, not added to it. Unfortunately, our experience with Rho has been the opposite, and I can’t recommend it based on that experience.

**What do you like best about Rho?**

I really appreciate how easy Rho is to set up and how simple it is to create and toggle between multiple accounts. I also love that, despite being a fully online platform, Rho maintains a strong human touch. Their team is incredibly responsive and genuinely invested in our experience, especially Alec Mitchell, who’s been wonderful to work with.

Rho is constantly improving the platform based on client feedback and truly listens to what we find useful. I also like that we can take advantage of their treasury feature to earn interest while keeping funds easily accessible for transfers. Their integrated bill pay and expense reimbursement tools are already helpful and continue to get better and once fully refined, they’ll be an even more powerful resource for clients.

**What do you dislike about Rho?**

While I really like the platform overall, there are a few areas that could use improvement. The bill pay and expense reimbursement features, while promising, can still feel a bit clunky and occasionally lack the flexibility needed for more complex workflows.

**What problems is Rho solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We switched to Rho primarily because it integrates seamlessly with QuickBooks Online, which saves time and reduces manual reconciliation work. Managing multiple entities and accounts is also much easier in Rho with the ability to toggle between them quickly.

**What do you like best about Rho?**

I really like the vendor cards feature in Rho, which makes it incredibly easy to set up fine-grain tracking for reporting. This feature is fantastic for providing insights to all stakeholders in our company. Additionally, I appreciate the slick UI interface that Rho offers. The platform has provided a seamless way to manage our business finances and expenses, with the ability to set up credit cards seamlessly through the app. The ability to tie these credit cards to technology and other vendors has made tracking spend and overall business finances very easy. The transparency and ease of use of the Rho platform really stand out, offering a better infrastructure for managing expenses and business banking. The entire onboarding process was quick, with the ability to migrate and start transacting with just a few clicks, which made the transition from Brex to Rho smooth and efficient.

Processing payroll for multiple independent contractors is a breeze with this tool. The bulk payment feature is especially impressive and makes the process much more efficient.

**What do you dislike about Rho?**

The lack of support for Zelle and the inability to make any real-time transfers via RTP, whether incoming or outgoing, is disappointing. The same issue exists with Venmo.

Previously, I handled payroll for several independent contractors manually, but now the process has become automated.

There is absolutely nothing I dislike about this. My only hope is that all our vendors could be as good.

I deposit my company's funds here, and they accumulate and grow thanks to the impressive yield. Most importantly, the user interface is extremely easy to navigate --thanks to the mobile app. Additionally, our account manager is available on Slack, making them easily accessible and always ready to assist us. We couldn't ask for a better experience.

I love the level of support from the team at Rho, they go above and beyond. Also loved the great onboarding experience as a founder. It's nice to have a platform that understands the needs of founders and helps support our banking as we grow.

They waived fees for us for the first six months, but I think treasury yield becomes lower than competitors after that period.

Rho solves FDIC insurance beyond limits, offers liquidity, and conserves capital with excellent support from the team.

**What do you like best about Rho?**

Centralized system that is easy to use for all levels of the organization with exceptional customer service. Unlike some large companies where customer service is "I have forwarded your response to appropriate party" and then waiting weeks for a response. RHO provides solution-driven, timely responses.

**What do you dislike about Rho?**

Working through some bugs. For example, when we select "Missing or Incorrect Requirements" as a reason and add a comment, it does not send the user an notification. These are small items that are usually fixed with an update, but we do like that they are always updating and modernizing the system.

Ensuring timely and accruate reporting of credit card spending and requirements such as coding and approvals. This saves our team multiple days a month.

**What do you like best about Rho?**

Rho offers our users a one touch experience for reporting company expenses on a corporate card. The text alert at the point of purchase means before they leave the counter or stand up from the table, the expense report item can be completed.

The company implementation of Rho was easy and took less than 2 hours. We sync with Quickbooks Online seamlessly, which has saved the finance department 60 hours per month and delayed a planned headcount addition indefinitely. 

We also do monthly expense management reimbursements through Rho which makes this process much more efficient for our users and scalable for the finance team.

The customer support team is amazing and each interaction with them is pleasant, informative, and positive. 

I review/approve transactions and sync to QBO daily which makes my job much easier. Rho has all the features of a legacy platform but is designed like a fintech product, so it's constantly evolving and growing to meet our needs and the needs of our growing user base.

Our users love it! For several of them, this is their first experience with a corporate card and expense management program and they will compare everything else they use in their careers to Rho (good luck to all other products).

**What do you dislike about Rho?**

The only challenge I have with Rho is that sync status doesn't update automatically and requires a page refresh before the status changes.

**What problems is Rho solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rho allowed us to triple in size without adding a finance headcount due to the integration with QBO and ease of use by the admins and users.

Rho allows our users to have a one touch experience that increases their job satisfaction and reduces inefficiency in the expense report process.

Rho's direct integration with Quickbooks Online (QBO) allows our expense receipts to automatically attach to the transactions in QBO when synced from Rho, which increases the quality of our data and reduces finance department time to attach receipts in the coding process.

Rho allows much easier expense analysis than ERP data.

**What do you like best about Rho?**

Rho is easy to use and has great customer support. I use my Rho card all the time since I travel a lot for work and I have never had an issue with it. Expenses are easy to log and so are company reimbursements. I like the digital Rho card feature as well for people who do not use a company card very often. Overall, Rho is very conveinient and I would recommend them to anyone.

I don't really have any dislikes about Rho. There were a few bugs in the beggining with loggin expenses but the Rho team already fixed them.

They make it easy and conveinient for a company to manage employees company cards. The digital card for people who don't need a company card all the time is huge. They also make it extremely easy to log and manage expenses and reimbursements. It is quick and hassle free.

**What do you like best about Rho?**

We opened a Rho account before we raised our first financing round and have been their customers ever since. They are the easiest bank I've ever worked with, especially since we've worked with other standard big banks before for business needs. They allow a single person to take care of the entire company's finances quickly - everything from checking account, AP, expenses, to treasuries. They are also very supportive, not just about using the website, but can help out with broad questions about best practices for running startup's finances.

**What do you dislike about Rho?**

This is not necessarily a downside to many people, but it is worth knowing that Rho is rolling out many features and improvements, which often means that the user interface and experience can change quite a lot. The interface always stayed intuitive, however, so it was never an issue.

**What problems is Rho solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rho pretty much covers all our needs as an early-stage start-up. We use Rho for standard day-to-day checking account, AP, expense management, treasuries, and more. It's all integrated with Quickbooks so bookkeeping is seamless too.

**What do you like best about Rho?**

Now that our company has switched over to Rho for tracking our expenses, I don't put off waiting until the end of the month to submit my expenses. When I make a purchase, I get a text and email reminder. I just simply click the link and upload the receipt and I'm done. If I'm in a hurry, in the car, or not able to submit to upload the receipt, I get text and email reminders at the end of the day to help keep me on track with our accounting department.

I don't know that I've found any downsides to the Rho service. The UI is extremely weel built and easy to use/navigate.

Rho helps us keep better tabs on our department's budget by showing us a real-time chart of our budget, the expenses we've had so far, and how much of our annual budget is left.

**What do you like best about Rho?**

Rho's customer service team is very helpful.  Any issues we run into, they are quick to respond and advise how we can do what we need to.  When we find that a feature we need is missing from the platform, customer service bubbles this need up to their development team and the feature is soon built into the platform.

**What do you dislike about Rho?**

There is a limit of only 3 attachments per transaction, which has meant that some of our documentation needs to be finagled to condense into only 3 documents.  It is also impossible to adjust reimbursement requests from either the submitter or approver end, so if someone makes a typo they have to start over with a whole new request.

**What problems is Rho solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company had zero controls on its credit card spending.  Every person in the whole company had access to the single corporate credit card and could use it without documentation.  Rho has allowed us to assign individual card numbers to each employee so they have to answer for their own purchases.

I love the ability to create virtual cards for employees, specific dates, or for particular vendors

**What do you dislike about Rho?**

It's not yet fully integrated into our ERP so automatic or uploaded receipts don't push to the ERP. I'd rather do this in Rho due to the better UI but unfortunately I have to upload receipts in the clunky ERP.

**What problems is Rho solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allowed us to eliminate having physical cards for many employees and exposure of credit card info throughout the organization. It allows us much better control over enterprise subscription expenses and more control over reimbursed expense. The cost and accounting controls are superior to the traditional card companies.

**What do you like best about Rho?**

RHO has worked very well for my company to help us properly communicate and regulate what we need and when we need it. We are able to keep a list of all receipts, inventory, general needs, and it all is financially organized into well put lists for easy management and assessment.

**What do you dislike about Rho?**

I struggle a little with the app vs. texting receipts and pictures for cataloguing information away. Usually I find the text feature is weaker than going into the app and filling out the information myself.

**What problems is Rho solving and how is that benefiting you?**

RHO organizes my financial needs as a tech rapidly and with precision. It sets and easy bar to establish what items or locations I've needed to employ the company budget in a fast system that acknowledges realistic needs for mobile teams whether it be tools, supplies, or general use items for the company.

What I like about Rou: Simplicity, easy to navagite, very quick refresh of screens, very ogranized.

**What do you dislike about Rho?**

What I do not like about Rou: if you make multiple purchases a day, and submit your receipts at the end of the day VIA text message, it does not add the receipt to the correct purchase on the APP from the text thread.

**What problems is Rho solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rou is solving the potential theft of using a company card at a gas station for fuel but really they are going inside and buying Beer, Smokes, and energy drinks. This has helped us keep unapproved spending down.

If you'd like to send in receipts for multiple transactions at the end of the day, we'd recommend enabling email notifications. **What do you like best about Rho?**

I liked how easy it was to get set up as an end user. Filling out the expenses was the easiest experience I've had for a business expense card.

**What do you dislike about Rho?**

Initial notifications were pretty agressive, but I was able to turn the ones I didn't want off by going into settings. It would have been nice to have an easy option to decline notifications from email/text that I didn't want.

**What problems is Rho solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Made business meals easy to manage the budget, label my expenses, and submit my report with minimal effort. It also made it extremely easy to keep track of the budget I had remaining.

Team cards in Rho Banking website is customizable and very easy to use. I like how easy it is to setup labels and budgets for coding expenses. Rho emails and texts provide immediate confirmation of purchases which is very helpful as well.

**What do you dislike about Rho?**

I would like more custom options for downloading transaction history. For example, download transaction history by user, Label, or Budget.

Rho makes it easier for users to backup expenses, this saves a lot of time for the accounting team and streamlines our financials.

The cash back reward helps pay my dues and travel to NAHB, state and local events.

It does take some time to figure out the reports and system, but once you do the system is very helpful

I have been struggling to get receipts from card holders.  My employees have been a lot better about adding receipts with the SMS feature from RHO.

We switched to Rho because of the easy-to-use platform and expensing options. This works very well for our company.

**What do you dislike about Rho?**

We haven't really found any issues with using Rho, there has been a little bit of issue training field staff for expensing, but that's not a Rho issue.

**What problems is Rho solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need a credit card we could use for expensing. We had been using Expensify, but it didn't have an easy to use export CSV option to import to our accounting software.

My experience is limited as I have been using Rho for less than a year. However, I haven't had any negative experiences with it thus far.

You can see at a glance the categories that each expense falls into. This helps to see where our dollars are going and to make adjustments as needed.

Love the text/receipt capture. Makes logging my expense so much easier for work travel.

Only downside is when Rho card gets declined during travel. Seems to be sporadic as to how/why it happens and that's a little bothersome.

The time it takes to do expense reports when travelling for work. It's made it significantly easier to which it allows me get my expense reports in sooner which I assume helps the accounting department.

**What do you like best about Rho?**

Using Rho is in redibly easy to use as an employee. It sends me a text as soon as the transaction goes through and I can reply with the photo right away. Also, I can edit fields from the app or my computer. Cross-platform integrations are genius, especially if you're using it often!

**What do you dislike about Rho?**

My least favorite thing about Rho is that there aren't descriptions of the fields. It may be an admin issue, not the app itself.

Rho allows user to upload receipt right away AND sends reminders, so you can take a quick photo of the receipt right away before you lose it or forget to keep it.

Use to have to use personal card for business expenses, fill out a form and then have to wait for reimbursement. Often worrying that personal card would cover costs.  Rho eliminates all of that.

Too many / too soon reminders about submitting receipts when still working off site. I and others fill those out after we return all at once.

I like how simple it is to use. The ability to text images of receipts and it automaticly attach the photo to my purchase is great. The ability to use apple pay with the card is helpful as well.

I think the only issue I have had is not being able to view attached images once they are attached. When I have multiple purchases from the same company it could be useful to see the receipt images.

The platform is overall very user friendly and the UI is nice and fluid. Making cards and organizing budgets is also very simple and easily accessible.

Tends to log you out quite often so having to re-login and get the authenticator app can be annoying. However, this is only a minor inconvenience and not a major issue.

There are a lot of capabilities for Rho that my company doesn't use for specific transactions. I wish there was a way to remove those extra fields so it was even easier to use on the go.

Rho is amazing! The only thing I think can be added is "remind admin" in order to notify the admin who is responsible for approving reimbursements and other requests. 

This way I can give a nudge to the person when a reimbursement submission is taking a while to be approved.
