"Good Cost-Effective Choice Hampered by Unintuitive System, Lost Reviews & Display Errors"
What do you like best about Reviews.io?

The main reason we moved to Reviews.io was the significantly lower cost compared to Trustpilot, offering good value for our small business. Although the system is less feature-rich, the cost savings are the primary benefit. Customer support has been quite good, which is essential because we find the admin system unintuitive and difficult to use. I recently received excellent, much-appreciated support while changing our platform setup. We also like how the reviews are displayed on our website, though this could be improved. Overall, we are happy enough to stay with Reviews.io, but we have important reservations (detailed in our dislikes) regarding ease of use and other issues that we hope they can resolve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Reviews.io?

Our biggest dislike is the overall lack of technical reliability, which is causing us to lose valuable customer reviews and business. Our review flow consistently dries up after the first few days of every month. Despite reporting this repeatedly, support has not been able to resolve it, leaving us unable to diagnose or fix the underlying issue. Many customers report never receiving review invitations. Furthermore, manual invites often fail to send or are never received. This means we are losing genuine, hard-earned reviews, which entirely defeats the purpose of paying for the service.

Beyond this critical review loss issue, we have significant frustrations with the platform's usability:

Usability and Implementation: The system is highly unintuitive, difficult to use, and over-complicated. Implementation and integration were not easy. The administration interface and plan structures are confusing, making it very hard to know exactly what features are included in our current package. Overall, we feel the returns we get for our time and resource investment are much lower than they should be.

Website Display Bug: Our replies to customer product reviews do not appear on our website. This is a major issue because it prevents us from showing gratitude for positive feedback. More importantly, it is damaging to our reputation when we cannot publicly respond to unfair or misleading negative reviews, making it look like we don't care or that the false claim is accurate. Response from Ruby Branston of Reviews.io

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback, it’s really valuable for us to hear where the experience has fallen short as well as where it’s working for you.

It’s clear how much impact the review delivery issues, usability frustrations, and display problems have had on your workflow and on the trust you’re trying to build with customers. We understand how serious that is, and we’re really sorry that these parts of the platform haven’t met your expectations. Your points give us a very clear picture of where the experience has felt unreliable, and we appreciate you raising them so openly.

I’m also glad to hear that the support team has been able to help where possible and that you’ve found value in the cost savings and how reviews appear on your site, even with the limitations you’ve highlighted.

Thanks again for such honest insight - reviews like this help guide where we need to improve, and we appreciate you sticking with us while navigating these challenges.
