What do you like best about Redwood Software Report2Web?

I love that the software is stable, it does not require a lot of maintenance and when it does the employees of Redwood get back to you quickly. I also love how flexible the software is, to break down the reports that are coming in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Redwood Software Report2Web?

We have a little trouble with the scheduled jobs for retention rules, but this has improved as we have upgraded to later versions of the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Redwood Software Report2Web solving and how is that benefiting you?

Report2Web is a repository of reports that has simplified our report dispersing process. We send reports to Report2Web from a couple of different software packages. These reports are broken down or "burst" and sent to folders that have security setup that restricts access to users we want to have access. We do not have to schedule a bunch of different reports from the source system, it is handled by the Burster module of Report2Web. We run the report once and it gets sent to Report2Web, the people that need to see it can schedule alerts to themselves that an updated report is out there or know when the report gets updated and go get it when they need it. "Report2Web Functionality and Usability Works Well"

What do you like best about Redwood Software Report2Web?

Ability to publish documents, originating in our ERP system or other external sources, without significant work to do that. This includes the ability to simulate publishing reports before they are made available to various audiences and without having to publish them in test, review, unpublish, fix issues, and republish. What do you dislike about Redwood Software Report2Web?

Security and the UI have a number of drawbacks that are not as efficient as one would hope: (security) - when in a user record, allow me to add a group to the user instead of having to go to the group to add it; (security) filtering for users is painful since you can only do that on the page your working with; (security / UI) - when scrolling down the page, you lose track of the column headings instead of having the frozen (a la freeze panes) ; (security / UI) - allow adjust the number of records seen in the the Members listing so I don't have to page as frequently; (UI) - the Novum UI doesn't work well in Firefox and other browsers when resizing windows, so therefor it's unusable, though we'd like to use it; (support site) - better way to provide bulk feedback for issues I run into -- let me submit 20 items instead of having to do it 1 by 1, which seems to be the preferred method; (UI - the inability to easily modify the login page to change the look-and-feel is maddening; (UI) - attempting to export to Excel using Firefox after clicking on the Export button is unworkable - the screen disappears in < 1 second - what?!; (support) - there are times when it would make more sense (to me) for support to engage in screen-sharing with us instead of going back-and-forth with information in a support ticket so the problem could be demoed, and maybe solved, more quickly. Besides getting a demo of the product, work with them to go through at least one example of defining publication criteria (i.e., bursting rules) and publishing a document to see how different users will see that publication and how they can view it / use it. What problems is Redwood Software Report2Web solving and how is that benefiting you?

Making available financial reports (expense, salary, budget) in text or Excel format to all departments in our organization. Reports are pre-defined and once they understand how to read them and understand terminology (if a new employee) there's little internal support that's needed after initial training. We have replaced paper printing through our organization from numerous source systems utilizing Report2Web. This has saved the company thousands of dollars in not only paper, but also space required to store physical copies as well. We are also able to consume very large documents and send them to various stakeholders in a very timely and secure manner, giving multiple options of viewing. if you an end to end tool that can really take any file type, PDF, Word, Excel, whatever, upload it, set retention, do iit once and be done with it, and even automatically send out emails of a given report to whoever you want, this is the most cost effective tool I have seen Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Redwood Software Report2Web solving and how is that benefiting you?

What problems is Redwood Software Report2Web solving and how is that benefiting you?

R2W solves many of our reporting issues as we are an agent based company. Most reports have to be split into individual agent folders. R2W makes this process easy. Our company is used to the reliability of R2W in having immediate access to reports (and in multiple formats) and immediate report history access. The amount of printing and paper saved is also a definite plus. As we begin working across multiple media sources we feel confident in using R2W as our report depository. What do you like best about Redwood Software Report2Web?

The ability to control who sees a report i have posted and the ability to burst the report into small parts. We have over 100 stores, with this software I can burst a report so that a store only sees the part of the report that pertains to them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
