I like the visual reports that show the project and head count progress in real time and easier than going through the data all the time. **What do you dislike about Projectworks?** If I have to pick one thing about projectworks as a disadvantage, then would say it is a bit overwhelming for beginners like me. As a portfolio manager, I oversee multiple portfolios so it feels kinda of heavy at first if you are not used to it every day, so the interface can be made better. **What problems is Projectworks solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has all the must have for everyday administration, like it calculates the project resource, lets us know who is doing most of the task and how we are spending everything. Projectworks was rolled out mainlyfor resource planning, budget tracking and client billing oversight. In Projectworks I can see who's available and if we're about to overload someone. The capacity view is much easier for me to discuss with department heads than the static sheets we used before. I also like the billing and forecasting side ties back to resourcing. It's not perfect but the fact that when I adjust resourcing it already shows up in project financials has saved me headaches. The interface wasn't overwhelming. **What do you dislike about Projectworks?** I find the reporting side a bit limited. For example I wished for deeper integration with Power BI. Right now I export data and reshape it which breaks the nice live updating vibe you otherwise have inside Projectworks. Integration with Jira also wasn't as smooth as hopped. PW allows you to have fixed fee and hourly rates in a single invoice. The resourcing of jobs works pretty well - it is quite simple, but it gives a high level over view of who is busy and who needs work. But there is no way to set job priorities for staff i.e. what job you want them to work on first. The integration with Xero is fine. The data transition from WFM to PW was fine. We did not have any major issues. **What do you dislike about Projectworks?** I use Project Works Daily and I find it frustrating. The worst thing about Projectworks (PW) is the timesheet (for a Design Engineer working on multiple tasks). It is so bad most staff run a separate excel spreadsheet, and I run Memtime. The timesheet does not even have a start and finish time so there is no way to determine when staff start and finish. The timesheet function is so bad, I would not recommend Projectworks to companies that need to know when staff start and finish work or work on multiple jobs a day. PW lacks the ability to send important emails to be filed on with the job so everyone has access (WFM does). I still have not found a way to make notes on the job - maybe I need to create a custom field. PW really focuses on Job Budgets. I find this one dimensional, because a successful job relies on many things not just the job budget. I would like the landing screen to show more about the job - like who is assigned to the job, when is it due, what is the job scope, and the job budgets. Compared with WFM, it is hard to customize templates for invoicing and letters of engagement. Invoicing can be frustrating because PW won't let you invoice jobs unless the contractual status is signed. PW requires lots of clicks, and it is not that intuitive to find things. Because of changes to WFM when they changed to WFM by Bluerock, we have committed to using PW for 1 year, but if I was to rewind the clock I would look at using different software for our design engineering company. **What problems is Projectworks solving and how is that benefiting you?** Projectworks is a job management system. We could see who was allocated to what, how much capacity they had on a day to day and week by week basis. This made the managing the pipeline of new work more transparent and collaborative. Tracking real costs to the business of where peopel are spending time on fee based services and ensuring our cost recovery model is accurate has also been an added bonus. **What do you dislike about Projectworks?** There is'nt really much to dislike, its a very powerful all-in-one project management tool, which means all of your data and information is in one place. It takes a while to understand how everything links together, but the training covers this, and once you start using it, it starts to make sense. Its very logical. **What problems is Projectworks solving and how is that benefiting you?** Its solving all of our problems, we use it for project design and quoting through to project management and time writing for everyone, including leave applciations. **Official Response from Charlotte Steel:** > This is great to hear David!
