## Profound Reviews
 ### 1. Robust and easy-to-use platform for AIO/GEO metrics

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren T. | Social Media Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

AIO/GEO is developing quickly and evolving fast. We tested a number of tools and found that Profound offers a robust, easy-to-use platform. Because these metrics are still new, they can be confusing at times, but Profound was the easiest for SEO teams to follow and understand.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

There’s really nothing to dislike, per se, aside from customer service—while thorough, it can feel less high-touch than some others. I think the Profound team is great; they just seem a bit spread thin at times. The upside is that the platform is easy enough to use that you don’t need as much high-touch support. Ultimately not a criticism, just a comment.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The SEO world is changing quickly, especially with the rise of AI chatbots and agentic services. Our teams needed a clear way to make sure our business’s offerings continue to show up in these newly defined spaces. Allowing our growth and web teams to utilize AI for showing up within AI.

 ### 2. Responsive Team, Intuitive UI, and Fast Feature Releases

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle P. | Manager, Design Strategy, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

In general, the responsiveness of Profound when discussing unique requirements, integrations, capabilities, etc. Related, a fast and consistent release of new features.
Intuitive UI/UX is easy to navigate, platform speed as I am rarely waiting for anything to load/be generated, and support has been exceptional.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

Pricing. With the AEO/GEO space being relatively new, it is difficult to calculate ROI. Although trending up, we are seeing relatively low LLM traffic at the moment.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. How are we showing up to LLMs? What is our visibility, and how desirable are we as a retailer? Answering these questions helps us understand what’s working today and what needs to improve.

2. What can we do to improve how we show up to LLMs (i.e., how do we turn insights into action)? As stated earlier, it is a relatively new space and knowing how we show up isn't good enough. It is critical that these insights are turned into action plans.

 ### 3. Sleek, Intuitive Platform That Boosted Our Visibility Fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oryna S. | PR specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I like that we can track progress, or the lack of it, across different keywords and themes. It also helps us understand which actions to take to improve visibility and sentiment. The UX is intuitive, and the platform looks sleek. We didn’t run into any issues integrating the features available on our plan, and we haven’t had any performance problems either. When we change the timeframe, the data updates instantly.

Onboarding was easy, and the team was attentive to our questions throughout. It’s definitely worth the price: after a month of consistent work, we improved our visibility beyond that of the competitors we’re also tracking. My colleague also likes their AI agents a lot.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

There are a lot of tabs on their platform, which isn’t a bad thing in itself, because it provides an exhaustive coverage of all aspects. But from time to time, it can make it a little harder to find a specific piece of information. That said, it’s a really minor issue overall.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It removes uncertainty from the GEO optimization process by giving a clear overview of the current situation and outlining the actions to take to improve it.

 ### 4. Clean, Reliable AI Search Visibility Insights for Brands and SEO Teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mateo V. | Operations Support Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

Profound does something genuinely useful: it tells you how AI platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini talk about your brand or your clients' brands. For anyone doing SEO or content work, that visibility is becoming table stakes.
The UI is clean and intuitive. It doesn't take long to find what you're looking for, and the dashboards make it easy to spot trends without digging through raw data.
On integrations, it's still growing. Exporting data into other reporting tools takes some manual work, and connecting it to platforms like Whatagraph isn't seamless yet. That said, the data it produces is solid enough that the extra effort is usually worth it.
Performance is reliable. Queries run quickly and the sentiment and citation tracking feel accurate and consistent.
Pricing is on the higher end, but if you're managing multiple brands or clients, the ROI case is easy to make. For a single small brand, it might be harder to justify.
Support has been responsive and the onboarding is straightforward. You're not left figuring it out alone.
Overall, it's one of the more mature tools in the GEO space right now. If AI search visibility is part of your reporting or strategy, Profound earns its place in the stack.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

The main friction point is integrations. Getting data out of Profound and into external reporting tools still requires more manual effort than it should. Native connectors to platforms like Whatagraph or Google Looker Studio would go a long way.
Pricing can also be a stretch for smaller teams or single brand use cases. The value is there, but the cost structure is better suited for agencies or larger operations.
Those are minor gripes for a tool that is still relatively new in a space that is evolving fast. More of a wishlist than a dealbreaker.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The core problem Profound solves is visibility into how AI platforms actually talk about your brand. As more users turn to ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini for recommendations instead of Google, traditional SEO metrics stop telling the full story. Profound fills that gap.
For us, the benefit is concrete. We can show clients where they stand in AI generated responses, track sentiment over time, and tie content and optimization work to real movement in how the brand is being represented. That kind of reporting did not exist in a clean, packaged way before.
It has also pushed our strategy conversations forward. Instead of just talking about rankings and traffic, we can talk about brand authority in AI search, which is where client attention is increasingly going anyway.

 ### 5. Powerful, Fast, and Actionable Insights from Natural-Language Analysis

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hannah R. | Senior Product Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I like that I can ask it questions in natural language. So far, it’s been pretty easy to use. The performance has been strong, and it analyzed large data sets quickly while keeping the insights succinct. It doesn’t just answer what I ask; it goes a step further and surfaces things I didn’t even realize I wanted to know. Overall, I think it’s very powerful, and we’re already making changes to our strategy and website based on its analysis. It integrates with everything we need, and onboarding has been straightforward so far. I also feel like we’re getting our money’s worth.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

I'm not sure, I'm still getting used to it!

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to understand what content shows up well in LLMs and what doesn't so that way we can change what we produce. We also didn't have visibility on how we were showing up compared to our competitors. This surfaces their tactics super quickly and gives a way more complete picture of how we show up in the market.

 ### 6. Pivotal in Understanding Brand Accuracy and Citations in LLMs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacob P. | SEO Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I like being able to see how our brand is performing with answer engines like ChatGPT, Claude, and Google AIO. It's very helpful to know since measurement is much trickier than with traditional SEO. Being able to see if we're mentioned in queries that matter to our brand as well as see what LLMs are saying about us is hugely important.

There is a lot of depth here and it allows us to slice and dice the data in many different ways. Also, being able to export almost every dataset is a huge +1 for me.

Their team is also very helpful and is always willing to show us how to utilize new and upcoming tools, They feel much more like a partner than a traditional vendor.

I also feel that they're constantly moving the ball down the court with AI workflows within the platform. The agent builder is a familiar canvas style setup, but the platform also allows built-in nodes to do everything you could ever want. The more context I can give an LLM the better and these account for that nicely.

The ability to integrate these into a table format has been intuitive for me. This is a great way to utilize AI at scale, while still keeping a human in the loop. I can simply place my agent in the table with the required fields and run the agent for up to 100 rows at a time.

Overall, I think this is one of the best platforms for AEO out there right now and I enjoy using it.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

This is likely subjective, but it took me quite a while to really grasp how their tool could fit into/expand existing SEO workflows. I totally understand positioning the platform something separate from traditional SEO, but it might be interesting to explore the positioning of the tools and how they compare and contrast from familiar practices.

This is more of a "nice to have" rather than a dislike, but most of the data seems deeply coupled to tracked prompts. Basically, if you happen to miss out on important prompts there is no way to have visibility into those. Which would be fine except that there isn't a super rock solid way to do prompt research currently. I'd love to have more visibility into general trends, themes, and data that I could pull. The prompt research is being released and I am hoping this will solve for this, but as a general experience I've felt a little bit less confident that I'm getting a good sample of all available themes and have had to augment with data from other tools to generate good prompts.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have real visibility into not only the kinds of prompts that users search, but also how each popular AI model interprets and understands our brand. Knowing where AI gets those answers allows us to account for that.

This alone makes the tool so valuable.

 ### 7. A Category-Defining Tool for LLM Analytics

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Graham H. | Senior Director, Marketing & Distribution, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

The Profound team is responsive, transparent about methodology, and treats us like a partner rather than just a customer. The platform is intuitive enough that editorial leads (not just analytics folks) can pull insights and act on them directly. Being able to benchmark share-of-voice against competitors inside LLM answers is something we couldn't measure at all before.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

Honestly, most of what I'd flag is less about Profound itself and more about the early-stage nature of the LLM measurement category as a whole. The space is moving incredibly fast, and there are areas where the tooling is still catching up to where we'd like it to be - things like deeper historical trend data, more granular filtering, etc. The other piece is the learning curve. Because LLM analytics is so new, there's real onboarding work involved in getting a full team fluent in what the metrics mean and how to act on them.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem Profound solves for us is the visibility gap in AI search. Before Profound, LLM presence was essentially a black box, we knew users were increasingly turning to ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews to make decisions, but we couldn't see what they were asking, how our brands were showing up in the answers, or what content was earning citations. Now Profound has turned that black box into a measurable, optimizable channel, whch has become a meaningful competitive differentiator - being able to show partners exactly what's happening inside LLMs, with data to back it, is something most publishers can't currently offer.

 ### 8. Powerful AI visibility insights and prioritisation—still needs expertise and cleaner citation data

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Parinaaz S. | Digital Marketing Lead UK & Ireland, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

What I value most about Profound is that it turns AI search from something abstract into something actionable. It doesn’t just show where Knorr appears in LLM answers — it helps us understand why we appear (or don’t), and what specific actions will move the needle.
The biggest strength is how Profound allows us to break visibility down prompt by prompt, diagnose the real gap (authority, structure, narrative, or category framing), and then prioritise quick wins versus longer‑term bets. This made it possible to identify “jewel wins”, where one content or structural fix unlocks multiple prompts at once — which is critical in a resource‑constrained environment.
I also really like that Profound bridges measurement and execution. The Content Creator is especially useful for drafting LLM‑ready explanations and stress‑testing whether content actually answers the prompts we’re targeting, before investing heavily in full production. Used this way, it accelerates progress while still leaving brand, claims and tone decisions with the team.
Overall, Profound gave us a clear, confident way to prioritise, explain decisions to stakeholders, and move faster on AI visibility with focus rather than guesswork.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

he main limitation with Profound today is that it still requires a fair amount of interpretation and expertise to turn insights into action. The platform surfaces excellent prompt‑level data, but newer users may struggle to distinguish incidental visibility from true opportunity without guidance. It’s powerful, but not yet fully self‑explanatory.
Citation data can also be inconsistent or glitchy at times, which means teams need to rely more on qualitative citation review than the aggregated metrics. While this is manageable, it does add manual effort and can slow decision‑making if teams expect the dashboard to provide a single definitive answer.
Finally, the Content Creator is most effective as a drafting and testing accelerator, not a complete content solution. It still needs strong brand, claims and tone‑of‑voice oversight, which means teams must be clear on how to integrate it into existing workflows rather than expecting a push‑button outcome.
Overall, Profound is extremely strong for analysis and prioritisation, but it works best when paired with clear strategic thinking and internal ownership of execution.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound solves the problem of not knowing where or why a brand wins or loses visibility in LLM‑driven answers. Before using it, AI search felt opaque — we could see outputs in tools like ChatGPT, but we couldn’t systematically identify the gaps behind those answers or prioritise what to fix first.
What Profound does well is break this down prompt by prompt and surface the specific reason for underperformance — whether it’s an authority gap, content structure gap, narrative gap, category mis‑framing, or purchase‑path issue. That clarity allowed us to move away from generic content creation and instead map a focused strategy to fill those gaps.
The biggest benefit has been efficiency. By analysing prompts across topics, Profound helped us identify “jewel wins”, where one action (for example, strengthening owned explanatory content, clarifying category language, or consolidating purchase pathways) unlocks multiple prompts at once. This made it much easier to prioritise workstreams and be realistic about what we could improve quickly versus what required longer‑term brand repositioning.
Overall, Profound enabled us to design a strategy that is LLM‑efficient: creating content and signals that directly answer how AI systems reason, rather than guessing or over‑producing content. It turned AI visibility from a reactive exercise into a structured, defensible plan that we could clearly explain and align on with the Knorr team.

 ### 9. Structured Insights Into How AI Engines Talk About My Clients

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amy B. | SEO Strategist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

The biggest win for me is being able to actually see how AI engines are talking about my clients, not by spot-checking prompts manually or guessing from vibes, but with structured, repeatable data. Profound pulls back the curtain on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews in a way nothing else I've tried really does.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

The biggest downfall for me is the lack of local and state-level granularity. I can see how AI engines are talking about a brand at a national or general level, but when I need to understand how a brand shows up in a specific region or state, which matters a lot for clients with local footprints, there's no real way to slice the data that way. That's a gap I'd love to see closed.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's solving the AI search visibility black box. Before Profound, I could tell clients AI search mattered, but I couldn't quantify their position or prove progress. Now I can show clients exactly how they appear in AI-generated answers, where they're losing ground to competitors, and where content effort will move the needle. Conversations about AEO/GEO investment have gone from speculative to grounded, which makes the work a lot easier to champion internally on their side.

 ### 10. Fast, Insightful Dashboard with Solid Support and Competitive Analytics

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Grant N. | Director, Performance Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

The product experience is good. The initial dashboard page provides a real-time summary of rank changes and competitive positioning using generative ai, which makes it easy to quickly grasp how optimization efforts are progressing. The overall layout of the dashboard is logical and easy to use. The analytics data loads quickly and it is easy to compare performance against competitors. The platform integrates with google analytics for richer insights into the overall impact of AEO and additional site tagging provides visibility into frequency of site crawls by LLMs. The support from the profound team is also solid, with the team readily available through a dedicated slack channel.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

Some of the product features that our team has been looking forward to leveraging, especially those related to content generation, have been slower to roll out than we were initially led to believe.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LLMs don't provide data to brands reporting the frequency their models have referenced their products in chat sessions. Profound is helping us gain insight into how LLMs are framing our products and services and identifying opportunities to improve AEO performance.

 ### 11. Answer Engine Insights Makes Prompt Visibility and Sentiment Actionable

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Max B. | SEO Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I think the 'Answer Engine Insights' section is most helpful. I particularly find the Prompts, Query Fanouts, Sentiment, and Citation sections super valuable.

Within the "prompts" section, you are able to see a brand's visibility across several hundred prompts, you get metrics such as 'visibility rank', 'visibility score' (which is on a scale of 1-100%), share of voice, etc. This has been really helpful for crafting targeted content optimizations such as key takeaways, FAQs, and so on.

Within the 'Sentiment' section. You can identify common pain points for customers or users. This allows you to help a brand craft content around resolving these issues, address common concerns within their website or app content and respond directly to poor reviews mentioning these negative items.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

The "Agents" section is undoubtedly valuable. But it is not user-friendly. I think clear direction on how to set Agents up, with a step-by-step process would be incredibly helpful and allow people to get the most out of it.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping to improve AEO/AI SEO visibility. You get a better understanding of a brand's presence across Google's AI Overviews, LLMs such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, etc. It allows you to measure performance across LLMs and see what strengths and weaknesses you have. You can then assess how different LLMs parse and present data, content, etc. and get a sense of what each LLM values and how they integrate website content and data into their prompt answers.

 ### 12. Great AI Search Tracking Tool, Intuitive Interface, Exceptional Educational Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charlie M. | CEO, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I like Profound's interface and their marketing efforts, especially how they try to educate their customers through initiatives like Profound University. I find their tool really clear and useful. The interface is valuable to us because we're able to use the information within it for reporting and in conversations with our clients, showing how their websites are performing in AI search visibility in ChatGPT answers and other AI platforms. Also, Profound provides interesting and useful first-party data about what's happening in AI search, which helps inform our AI search and SEO marketing strategies for clients.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

They have recently launched AI agents, and I have found that they sometimes work well, but sometimes could be improved or are not working as smoothly as they intend. I know they are working to continue developing these, which is exciting!

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound tracks AI search visibility across platforms like ChatGPT, helping us report and discuss website performance with clients. Their educational efforts provide valuable first-party data, aiding our AI search and SEO strategies.

 ### 13. Keeps Our Clients Ahead with AEO Tech and Visibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jimmy P. | VP, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I use Profound to track multiple clients for visibility and citations against competitors, and it helps me accurately poll various platforms on those metrics and understand the differences between platforms. Profound provides a tool that I can trust for visibility and citation information. They stay up to date on various AEO changes within the industry and make frequent updates to their tools, sharing this information in release notes, events, and articles. As an agency, I have direct access to people inside Profound via email or Slack, which allows me to get answers quickly when I have any questions. Profound also provides guidance on workarounds in their knowledge area, which has been helpful. The initial setup is straightforward and our clients get value out of the insights within days.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

The aspect I would like to see improvement is in Shopify analytics data, but I think this is more of a Shopify limitation than Profound as all other tools have this issue as well. I am hoping that with Profound leading the industry here, that they will be able to exert more influence on getting better data out of Shopify. They have provided guidance on workarounds in their knowledge area, which has been helpful.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Profound to track multiple clients for visibility and citations against competitors. It helps me accurately poll various platforms on those metrics and understand the differences between platforms.

 ### 14. Effortless GEO Tracking and Competitive Visibility with Profound

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tara P. | Senior Organic Search Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

Profound helps my team efficiently track GEO metrics for our brand, saving hours of manual work monitoring rankings across ChatGPT, AI Overviews, and other answer engines. It also gives us clear visibility into competitor performance, helping us maintain a strong presence and consistently rank highly in AI-driven search results.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

I wouldn’t say there’s anything I specifically dislike about Profound. They were quick to innovate as one of the first platforms focused on GEO and AI search visibility, which gave brands valuable early insight into their performance across emerging answer engines. As the space has evolved and more competitors have entered the market, there’s an opportunity for Profound to continue expanding its feature set to stay at the forefront of innovation.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound helps us track brand visibility, sentiment, Share of Voice and competitor positioning across a variety of AI search platforms. It saves us significant time by centralising insights that would otherwise require manual monitoring, whilst helping us understand how our brand is being represented in AI-generated responses. This gives us a clearer view of our performance and helps us stay competitive as AI search continues to evolve.

 ### 15. Powerful visibility insights. More directly actionable suggestions would be great!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anand V. | Head of Demand Gen, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I use Profound the most for prompt-level visibility, helping me understand how my product's visibility compares against competitors. I like how easy and simple the navigation is, as well as the ability to deep-dive into product related broader themes, finding prompts that are either improving or reducing their visibility on LLMs, which is highly useful. The ease of going deeper into the data is what made me incline towards profound when I was shopping for an AEO tool.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

It's a premium tool so the pricing is of course on the steeper side. But one area I think needs improvement is the immediate action items. What I today see is a bit limited and so I have to spend time understanding the data - which is good, but then creating action items from that data is time-taking. So if Profound starts giving me ample action items to work on, I could directly assign it to my team.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound provides visibility by tracking the right prompts for my brand and helps me understand how I compare to competitors in terms of visibility and brand voice share.

 ### 16. Profound Makes AIO/LLM Copywriting Easy with Clear Data and Time-Saving Content Tools

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily H. | Copywriter, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I've really enjoyed utilizing Profound in my copywriting role and with my entire content team. One of our major goals for the year was learning how to approach copywriting in the new AIO/LLM space, and Profound has helped us navigate that. One of my favorite things is how easy the data is to read and what you're able to track. We can easily see our visibility rating and how that compares to other competitors. We can also see sentiment rankings which is super interesting and has allowed us to fine tune strategy for platforms like Reddit. The other major benefit our team has seen is with the "content" features which allow us to create new content (briefs and all), or optimize existing content. These both save us a ton of time. There's also a cool tool allowing us to track URLS after we implement or optimize which is great for looking at growth with specific pieces of content.

One feature that Profound has introduced that I really appreciate is the "Ask" feature, which is a chat interface that allows you to talk back and forth with a bot (like LLM style) but the difference in this case is that it can run data reports and other things for you. It's been nice to use instead of digging around through the data manually - for example, you can ask it to run a visibility report for specific prompts, etc.

Our rep is so helpful and available by email or our biweekly meeting to answer any questions we have. He really takes the time to respond!

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

I think there is a bit of a learning curve with how to input certain info that you want if you're using a prompt tool or generating content, but that's to be expected with any tool like this I think.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound is helping our business track data in a more easily digestible way. The tool is helping us stay relevant in the time of SEO, AIO and GEO.

 ### 17. Helpful platform for understanding and improving our AI search visibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Constance W. | Digital Marketing Contractor | Website, CMS & Content Optimisation, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

What I like best about Profound is how easy it makes it to understand where we rank in AI search, where competitors are gaining visibility, and what we can do to optimise our presence. The platform is intuitive and makes trends easy to interpret, which helps turn AI visibility data into practical actions. I also really value how responsive the team is. They listen to feedback, iterate quickly, and are open to developing new features that support what teams actually need.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

There isn’t anything I strongly dislike. The main thing would be making it easier to pull insights into a format that can be shared internally, especially with stakeholders who are less close to AI search day to day.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound is helping us understand how visible we are in AI search and where we sit against competitors. It makes it much easier to see which prompts, topics and sources are influencing how brands are being surfaced, rather than guessing or relying only on traditional SEO data.

 ### 18. Clear, Structured AI Visibility Tracking with Actionable Strategy Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amy L. | Search Engine Optimization Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I use Profound daily as an in-house SEO, and it gives me a clear view of how our brand shows up across AI platforms. The biggest value is being able to understand AI visibility in a structured way, rather than relying on guesswork. I can track progress over time, compare our coverage against competitors, and use the data to set content priorities.

The strategy calls with our dedicated AI strategist are another strong part of the experience. They help translate what we’re seeing in the data into practical actions we can apply to our ongoing SEO work. Overall, the platform makes it easier to explain AI performance to internal teams, since the reporting is straightforward and easy to follow.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

There’s a lot of data in the platform, so there’s definitely a learning curve when you first get started, especially with some of the newer AI-focused metrics. A few workflows could be faster and feel more streamlined, and I’d also like more flexibility with exports as well as more options to customize reporting.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound helps me understand where our brand shows up in AI-generated answers and where we still need to improve. It supports planning, tracking progress, and having more strategic internal conversations. Rather than relying only on traditional rankings, I can see how AI platforms interpret our content and then adjust our SEO strategy with clearer direction and more confidence.

 ### 19. A Powerful Platform for Understanding AI Search Visibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raluca C. | Senior SEO Manager, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Profound?**

What I like best about Profound is how clearly it helps connect AI visibility data to actual optimization decisions. The platform makes it easy to understand not just whether your brand appears in AI-generated answers, but why certain brands and sources are being cited across platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews. I especially like the citation analysis features because it provides actionable insights into retrieval behavior, content gaps, and competitive positioning. The platform also does a great job visualizing trends across visibility, citations, sentiment, and platforms in a way that feels strategic instead of overwhelming.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

One thing I dislike about Profound is the slight learning curve for new users. The platform surfaces a lot of data and insights across citations, visibility, fan-out, sentiment, and platforms, which can feel a bit overwhelming at first. However, once you understand the framework and workflows, the data becomes much easier to interpret and very actionable. Practice makes it perfect. Get into the platform and start playing around!

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound is solving the challenge of understanding how brands appear and are represented across AI-generated search experiences. Instead of relying solely on traditional SEO metrics, the platform helps uncover where a brand is cited, how often it appears in AI answers, which competitors dominate certain topics, and which sources influence those responses. This is beneficial by giving clearer direction on where to focus content optimization, messaging, earned media efforts, and AI visibility strategy. As AI platforms become more influential in how users discover and evaluate brands, these insights help us make more informed marketing and optimization decisions.

 ### 20. Helps us plan and execute our AI visibility strategy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charles R. | Senior Content Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I really like how easy it is to use. Profound has a very intuitive interface with a clean UI overall. There’s a lot of detail in the platform, and you can go really deep if you want to. But it’s not overwhelming to just get a quick high-level gut check of how your visibility is performing and how it’s trending over time. The detailed analytics help us understand where to put our content efforts to boost AI visibility and optimize our presence in AI tools. Tracking which pages are being cited by AI more than others, as well as seeing competitor and third-party pages, helps us a lot with our content creation.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

The one thing that would be the big unlock, which is probably just hard to get from LLMs, is specific prompt volumes. Right now, we basically get a rough estimate of total queries by phrase or prompt cluster, which is helpful directionally, but it would be really helpful to better understand, down basically to the specific word, how many times a particular prompt is being searched in a given week, month, or year.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound helps us track our visibility for selected prompts, shows which website pages are seen by AI tools, aids in content creation for AI reviews, and monitors AI sentiment about our brand, optimizing AI search visibility.

 ### 21. Powerful AI Visibility and Data Insights That Elevate Workflows

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ellen W. | Search Engine Optimization Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

There are agents and insight into the data shown for AI visibility and citations, also developing out workflows with profound data readily available to help weigh its success based on historical data is amazing!

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

I believe this is something that they are working to roll out, as I have seen more and more of this since I started using the tool back in late 2025, but if more data points could be more interactive and exportable, as well as easier connections with third party reporting tools, that would be great!

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Knowing which pages from certain domains are getting cited, what the LLMs are actually saying in snapshot form about your brand or topic, and the historical data charts/brand competitor metrics are great. I also love the agents, that helps save time and stay on top of strategy. There is also a suggestion/opportunity section that usually references and pin points projects that can be done to help improve content for visibility and citations.

 ### 22. Exceptional Support and Innovative Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maxwell F. | Sr Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I really appreciate Profound's customer support and their success team, who are fantastic and lovely to talk to. They're constantly updating with new features, which is great. Their price point is very reasonable compared to competitors. I enjoy talking to our contacts who inform us of ways to be more efficient with our strategy and the tool itself. They're constantly developing new tools, like the one for fact checking, which is really useful for my government clients. Profound also makes it easy for me to craft a strong narrative and refine my strategy to present to clients effectively. The initial setup was super easy because they handle a large portion of the work but also allow me to take control of elements if I want.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

I have no complaints for Profound and find their tool and capabilities are more than sufficient for our needs.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Profound to connect the dots on our standing against competitors. It helps us identify areas for improvement, insights we can't get from Google Analytics or server analytics.

 ### 23. AVP, SEO at Level Agency

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stacey H. | Digital Marketing Strategist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

Being on Profound puts you at the cutting edge of a space that's moving fast. AI visibility is still early enough that having any structured data around how LLMs answer questions — and where your clients show up — is more than most agencies can say. It's forced our team to think differently about what "search visibility" even means, and that thinking has real value regardless of where the tooling goes.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

There's not much flexibility for early adopters who took a bet on the space before it was proven, and the per-domain model makes it hard to scale across a client portfolio without the math working against you, especially when pricing options didn't exist when we first engaged

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives us a structured way to track brand visibility in AI-generated answers which is a problem that has no good solution in traditional SEO tools. For clients in competitive categories, being able to show where they appear (or don't) across LLMs is a new and increasingly important conversation. It's helped us get ahead of that shift before most agencies are even talking about it.

 ### 24. A Game-Changer for AI Visibility and Website Optimization Recommendations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Claire B. | Sr. Manager SEO Strategy, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I’ve been using Profound for months and transformed how we approach AI-driven search optimization. The platform gives us much-needed clarity and control over how our brand appears across generative search engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews which is an area that previously felt like a black box.

One of the most valuable capabilities is the ability to build agents that can perform recurring weekly or monthly workflows for us. For example, we can use agents to monitor the health of our website, track visibility trends, surface content or technical issues, and provide regular updates without needing to manually pull all of that information together ourselves. That has the potential to save a lot of time while helping us stay proactive about our AI search performance.

The one thing to note is that agents can take a while to complete when the workflows are especially long or complex. But overall, the ability to automate ongoing analysis and turn AI search insights into repeatable processes has been incredibly valuable.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

While Profound is powerful, the workflows can be tricky to build at first. Even with the help of the workflow agent, it can take a fair amount of back and forth to get more complex workflows set up correctly and running the way we want them to. Once they’re working, they’re very useful, but the initial setup process can require patience and iteration.

Another area we’d love to see improved is page-level performance tracking. Right now, we can track specific page performance by manually adding web pages to a list, which works, but it can be time-consuming if we want visibility across a larger portion of the website. It would be helpful to have an easier, more scalable way to monitor performance across pages on the site without needing to manually curate every URL.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound solves the challenge of tracking and improving our brand’s visibility in generative AI search results, like Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and other LLM-driven search experiences, where traditional SEO tools fall short. With Profound, we can see exactly where and how our brand is mentioned, understand how our messaging is being summarized, and benchmark our visibility against competitors.

This helps us optimize our content strategy, maintain brand consistency, and identify opportunities to improve how we show up across AI search. The Semrush integration is also especially helpful because it connects more traditional SEO data with LLM performance insights. It makes it easier to answer questions around which pages, topics, and keywords are performing well, where we may have gaps, and how our website content is influencing our visibility in AI-generated results.

Overall, Profound gives us a clearer view into an emerging channel that is becoming increasingly important for brand awareness, qualified traffic, and demand generation. It helps us move from guessing how we appear in AI search to making more informed, data-backed decisions.

 ### 25. Powerful AI visibility and agentic workflows with exceptional feature velocity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan H. | Senior Growth Marketing Manager (Organic Growth), Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Profound?**

The dashboards are easy to read and quick to load. We get useful trends and actionable insights almost immediately. There is transparent and granular prompt tracking, where we can see the exact response for all major LLM models, rather than just an aggregate visibility score. The competitive benchmarking feature works well and gives us a clearer view of how we stack up against others in our space.

The sentiment and brand analysis tools are especially useful, not only can we see what AI is saying about us, but we can detect hallucinations or inaccuracies and respond accordingly (great for reputation management).

Profound Agents have made it easy to build agentic workflows, completing time-intensive tasks quickly and in the background, freeing me up for bigger thinking. They have the ability to connect to multiple data sources (including Profound data) and chain LLM requests. Evergreen content refreshes and content ideation are now a breeze.

Strong, responsive customer support through Slack.

Pricing is fair and transparent.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

The platform is constantly improving, which is great, but sometimes new features change the layout or move things around. It can take a minute to reorient and find what you need after an update.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound is helping solve two key problems for us.

First, it bridges the gap between AI visibility and traditional traffic attribution. We're no longer limited to tracking just referral traffic, we can now see how our brand is showing up in AI-generated answers, even when there's no direct click involved. That's given us a much clearer picture of performance in this new search landscape.

Second, it's changed how the SEO team operates day-to-day. We can now build agentic workflows, automate once tedious and time-consuming tasks, and analyze huge data sets to build strategies, all in ways that simply weren't possible before.

 ### 26. Intuitive UI, Fast Updates, and Top-Tier Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Korie W. | VP, Media Tech Solutions, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

First off, the UI is incredibly well-designed. When you're dealing with complex metrics like prompt volumes and tracking specific bot crawl behaviors (Agent Analytics), things can get cluttered fast. Profound manages to keep the interface clean and highly intuitive. Looking through the platform, it was obvious my team would be able to dive right in and start pulling Answer Engine Insights without needing weeks of onboarding. It’s very user-friendly and easy to use.
Another huge plus is their development velocity. The AI search space literally changes week to week, and Profound is consistently pushing out meaningful updates to keep pace with new models and shifting algorithms. You never feel like the tool is falling behind. On top of that, their team is top-tier—they actually understand the technical weeds of LLM data ingestion and were incredibly responsive and consultative throughout our entire review process.
I’ll be upfront: it is expensive. It definitely sits in the premium tier when comparing competitors in the market. You absolutely get what you pay for. Having granular, actionable data on AI search visibility is now table stakes for clients. If your team has the budget and is serious about owning the zero-click landscape, Profound easily justifies the cost.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

The price it is expensive. But you also get what you pay for.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working on the media agency side, shifting our focus from traditional SEO to AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) has been a massive hot topic. We recently did a deep dive into AEO platforms to navigate this shift, and Profound immediately stood out during our evaluation.

 ### 27. Reliable Monitoring + Excellent Cost-Benefit

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Natália P. | Analista de SEO, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I like how up-to-date the Profound tool is and appreciate that their team is always attentive to new topics. I also find it valuable to be able to monitor my brand's presence in AIs and organize my prompts into categories. The ability to integrate with my log to analyze bot visits to my pages is very useful. Profound offers the best value for money among monitoring options, as it is cheaper than some other tools and delivers quality that makes it worthwhile. The tool has proven to be reliable, and I consider its monitoring to be more accurate than that of other GEO tools. I follow the founder on LinkedIn, and he always shares interesting topics. Furthermore, the monitoring process was easy to set up.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

What I miss in Profound is being able to monitor things beyond my brand name and the names of other brands. There is no visualization interface for this, which forces us to export the data and view it externally. The prompt generation and volume features are also not 100%, but I understand there are market limitations and anonymity issues.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Profound to monitor my brand's presence in AIs. It is a good value for money, reliable, and accurate. I can organize prompts by category and monitor external publications, analyzing their impact on AI bots.

 ### 28. Boosts AI Visibility and Competitor Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kassy E. | Director, Earned and Owned Strategy, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I like that I'm able to track whether my clients are being cited or mentioned in AI answers, which is super beneficial. I also really like being able to monitor competitor visibility within AI search; I think that's something that a lot of other third-party platforms are lacking. Profound has the most functionality and is the most effective for measuring AI visibility and finding opportunities.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

I think an external dashboard to be able to share with clients would be really helpful. Being able to send them the dashboard and then being able to toggle dates instead of having to send individual reports for certain date ranges. I know that there are agents, but sometimes clients just want a simple dashboard to look at data. Setting up the prompts can definitely be finicky. For some clients, it had to be a lot more specific, and it felt very manual. And at the time, there was no monthly search volume or prompt volume available, so I was just going off of keyword volume from a keyword tracking platform.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Profound for tracking AI visibility and improving AI-generated answers with the brands I work on. It helps find opportunities for my clients to appear more in AI answers and learn what LLMs prefer from competitors.

 ### 29. Clear, Easy Insights into Our Brand’s AI Search Visibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam S. | Website Development Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

Profund makes it really easy to understand how our brand is showing up in AI search. Before using it it was hard to know what ChtGPT, Perplexity, Gemini etc were actually saying about our competitors or us. The platform gives a clear view of where we are being mentioned, what sources are influencing the answers, and where we have gaps.

I also like that it does not feel overly complicated. The insights are easy to understand and actually useful for marketing

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

There is a bit of a learning curve at the start, mainly because AI search visibility is a fairly new area. Some of the terminology and reports take a little time to get your head around.

I would also like to see more guidance on what actions to take next from certain insights. The data is strong, but sometimes you still need to work out the best next step yourself. Overall though, it is really useful too and feels ahead of the others we have tried.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping us understand a part of search that used to feel pretty invisible. Peeople are using AI tools more and more to research brands, products and solutions, but without Profound it is hard to know if we are mentioned.

 ### 30. The Best Platform for Tracking AI Share of Voice and Scaling Reach Through Agentic Workflows

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** George K. | Director of Organic Growth, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

The strongest feature of Profound, for our use case, is how it takes incredibly complex AI search data and makes it accessible through a highly intuitive UI/UX. Before using it, figuring out if models like ChatGPT or Perplexity were citing us over competitors required hours of manual prompting. Now, Profound's clean dashboards give us an immediate, easy-to-read benchmark of our AI Share of Voice (SOV) and brand citations in real-time. The platform performs incredibly well, loading vast amounts of data without any lag.

The intelligence of the platform doesn't stop at passive analytics, it extends to execution. The Agentic Workflows feature provides massive, tangible ROI by allowing us to take direct action on the data. We are actively using these AI agents to automate and scale our content projects, boosting our reach, impressions, and direct conversions in a fraction of the time it used to take.

Furthermore, the Prompt Volumes Analytics and Agent Crawler Insights have become indispensable to our broader strategy. Getting visibility into actual AI search demand, seeing the specific prompts users feed into these models and how AI crawlers interact with our pages, has helped us uncover high-value gaps we would have completely missed otherwise.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

Really had to say as the platform does exactly what it promises really well. If I had to provide a "wishlist" item for future updates, it would simply be around closed-loop attribution.

Right now, Profound is incredible for tracking top-of-funnel AI visibility, brand citations, and Share of Voice. However, cleanly tying those specific AI metrics directly to bottom-line revenue or downstream conversions for executive reporting still requires some manual data stitching on our end.

Having a direct, automated bridge between our AI performance metrics and tangible revenue would make reporting to senior management completely effortless. That said, I know AI search attribution is a brand new, industry-wide challenge right now, and Profound is already leaps and bounds ahead of the curve in giving us visibility!

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Profound, we had a massive blind spot when it came to understanding how our brand was surfacing in generative AI engines compared to our competitors. Profound completely solved this problem by giving us the tools to accurately track our AI citations, brand mentions, and overall AI Share of Voice. Instead of relying on guesswork, we now have a crystal-clear understanding of exactly how we perform in the AI landscape, which allows us to confidently benchmark our presence against competitors using hard data.

Uncovering those insights is really only half the battle, though. Having the bandwidth to actually act on them to drive growth is a separate challenge entirely. Profound solves this execution bottleneck through its agentic workflows. Instead of just staring at static dashboards, we are actively using these workflows to manage projects that scale our reach, boost our impressions, and drive targeted conversions at a speed we simply couldn't achieve manually. It perfectly bridges the gap between finding a data point and doing something about it.

What makes this platform truly invaluable, however, is the hands-on support we receive regarding those agentic workflows. Instead of just handing us a tool and leaving us to figure it out, the Profound team is working closely with us to build custom AI agents tailored to our specific use cases. Having their active partnership and expertise in constructing these bespoke workflows is already streamlining our operations, and it is going to save us tons of time and manual effort as we continue to scale.

 ### 31. One of the more forward-looking platforms in digital marketing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe R. | Digital Marketing Senior Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

What I like best about Profound is that it gives me visibility into how LLMs are discussing and surfacing our brand, competitors, and topics across AI-generated responses. The platform makes it easier to understand which prompts matter. The ability to monitor trends, prompts, competitive visibility, and sentiment in one place has been valuable for me.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

There's a learning curve when it comes to using Agents, but that's with every new technology. Fortunately, there are templates pre-built into Profound and I have found those worthwhile.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound is helping solve a growing visibility gap created by the shift from traditional search engines to AI generated discovery experiences. Another major benefit is helping me communicate internally that search behavior is changing. And with all the questions around AI and LLMs, not only can I speak to it, but also provide very specific details in what people are prompting LLMs, and how we're perceived.

 ### 32. Leader for AI Tracking, Monitoring and Insights that enable LLMO

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike D. | SVP, Head of SEO, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

The user experience and UI is easy to understand. Navigationg through the interface enables users to find key visibilty metrics that showcase benchmarks vs competitors. Data can be viewed in lots of segmentations if the configurations are thoughfully set up to drive the right insights. The roadmap continues to evolve with the space. The service team has also been very responsive and open to feedback. Integrations with brand's CDN offers unique agent analytics that will continue to be a growing area of analysis that this integration supports. Agentic workflows are an interesting starting point for powering content recommendations and assets. Pricing is competitive vs competion. The performance of the platform has been reliable, we've seen some data issues, but when flaggeed our reps and their engineering team take it seriously and respond very quickly.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

Not too many dislikes, but it would be great if it also enabled insights for traditional Google / Bing web rankings in addtion to pure generative answer/response analysis. Google is still the big player, blending rankings and unversal results in their traditioanal SERP. This is still the dominate mainstream platform for seaarch and would be nice to track, monitor and optimiize the full spectrum of the search experience.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The are solving how zero click visiblty is driving impact down stream. They are supporting new ways of evaluating 3rd party "offsite" signals to support content strategy and influence brands can prioritize.

 ### 33. Best-in-Class LLM Monitoring with Truly Actionable Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica G. | SEO Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I've worked with a lot of LLM monitoring tools over the last year trying to find the best one for my clients, and Profound is truly the best-in-class option. It doesn't just give you a number to share with leadership; it gives you actionable data you can use to improve your visibility in LLMs. I spend as much time in Profound these days doing LLM research as I do in Ahrefs doing SEO research.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

There's nothing I dislike about the platform. There are a lot of features I don't use, but when it comes to the features I do use, it does exactly what I need it to do.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound helps me 1) understand the impact that the work I'm doing has on our LLM visibility, 2) share that data with leadership, and 3) find new opportunities to further refine our tactics for greater success. At the end of the day, customer-reported signups from LLMs is our north-star metric, but Profound offers great leading performance data that allows us to adjust quickly if something's not working instead of having to wait for months to see the results in customer-reported data.

 ### 34. Essential for tracking higher-ed Share of Voice in AI search

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian Z. | Digital Marketing Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

Profound has completely transformed how we approach our AI search and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategy at Yale SOM. Instead of treating AI search like a black box, the platform gives us clear, actionable visibility into how our brand is being mentioned, cited, and recommended across major platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, and others. It provides an enterprise-grade framework and user-interface that bridges the gap between traditional SEO and the new era of AI-driven discovery.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

I haven't found anything that I dislike about Profound. Their customer service and platform simplicity is top notch.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In digital marketing, we struggled to track how Yale SOM's programs and faculty research were being surfaced in AI search engines, leaving a blind spot in our multi-channel strategies. Profound solves this by giving us direct visibility into our Share of Voice and citation tracking across LLMs like ChatGPT and Perplexity. This benefits our team by allowing us to treat generative AI as a measurable marketing channel, ensuring our brand narrative is accurate and optimized where future students are searching.

 ### 35. Clean dashboard for structured AI search visibility and prompt tracking insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hiten D. | SEO Manager, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

What I like best about Profound is its ability to provide visibility into how AI platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity mention and recommend brands. As an SEO Manager working in B2B SaaS, this gives us a completely new layer of insight beyond traditional SEO and keyword rankings.

The platform helps us understand AI search visibility, brand mentions, competitive positioning, and prompt-level performance in a very structured way. I also like that it connects AI visibility data with actionable content opportunities, which is extremely valuable for modern AEO/GEO strategies.

The dashboard is clean, reporting is easy to understand, and the prompt tracking capabilities are especially useful for monitoring how our products and solutions appear across different AI-generated responses.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

One area where Profound can improve is expanding the depth of analytics and historical trend reporting for larger enterprise SEO teams. Since the AI search/AEO space is evolving rapidly, there are still some workflows and benchmarks that are developing compared to traditional SEO platforms.

In some cases, we would also like more granular recommendations around content optimization and stronger integrations with existing SEO reporting ecosystems. However, the platform is evolving quickly, and new features are being added regularly, which is promising for long-term adoption.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

> Profound is helping us solve one of the biggest emerging challenges in digital marketing: understanding how AI platforms mention, rank, and recommend our brand and solutions in AI-generated answers. Traditional SEO tools mainly focus on Google rankings, but they do not provide enough visibility into platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity.

> With Profound, we can track AI search visibility, analyze prompt-level brand mentions, compare our positioning against competitors, and identify content gaps that influence AI-generated responses. This has helped our team start building a more structured AEO/GEO strategy alongside traditional SEO.

> The biggest benefit is that we now have measurable insights into AI-driven discovery channels, which helps us make better content, optimization, and brand visibility decisions for the future of search.

 ### 36. Intuitive Dashboards with Deep Insight into AI Answer Visibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexander F. | Head of Affiliate Marketing, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I really like the level of insight we’re getting from this tool. The interface feels intuitive, and the dashboards are straightforward and easy to use. From an affiliate and performance perspective, it’s extremely valuable to see which partners, content types, and queries are actually driving visibility within AI-generated answers.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

Profound is great at showing where visibility exists, but connecting that to measurable business impact still requires additional work. From an affiliate and performance perspective, I would like to see stronger links between AI visibility and actual outcomes like traffic or revenue.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem Profound solves is the lack of transparency in AI search. It gives us a clear view of how our brand is positioned across LLMs and provides useful competitive insights.

We can now track prompts, citations, and competitor performance in a structured, consistent way. As a result, we’re able to prioritise our affiliate strategy, content investment, and optimisation efforts based on real data rather than assumptions.

 ### 37. Profound’s Live Demos Make Learning the Logic Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 중헌 . | Digital Marketer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

What I liked most about Profound was the live demo sessions during video meetings. The clear, detailed explanations of both how to use it and the underlying logic made it much easier for me to understand and apply in practice. I also appreciated the intuitive UI/UX and the data integration features, which made the overall experience more efficient, smooth, and user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

It was inconvenient that the data became corrupted when I downloaded the raw data in Korean.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound addresses the challenge of helping clients understand how their brands and products are being surfaced across emerging AI-driven search and marketing channels, such as GEO. Before using Profound, we had limited visibility into how customers behaved across different AI search engines. Since adopting Profound, we have been able to analyze customer data more effectively, improve analysis speed, and better understand purchase behavior and engagement patterns across each AI search engine. Although we initially introduced Profound as a POC, it has delivered strong ROI and proven to be highly valuable for our business.

 ### 38. I used to guess, Now I don't. Profound gave me confidence (+ results) in my choices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Holly H. | Senior Customer Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

The thing I like best about Profound is that it makes me feel less like I'm guessing.
Customer marketing lives and dies on knowing what your buyers actually care about. Not what you THINK they care about. Not what the sales team tells you they care about. What they actually say when no one's trying to close them.
Profound gets you there fast. The research it pulls is real. The synthesis is sharp. I'm not spending three hours reading analyst reports just to find the one sentence that matters. It finds the sentence. I use it.
That's the whole thing. It respects my time and it makes my work better

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

The integrations are good. getting the insights INTO the places I actually work is still a manual lift.
None of it is a dealbreaker. But it's where I think they have the most room to grow.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customer marketing has a research problem. There's never enough time to do it well and there's always someone asking you to prove your messaging is grounded in something real.
Profound closes that gap. I use it to understand what my buyers are actually thinking. What language they use. What they're worried about. What they're trying to get done. That stuff used to take hours to pull together. Now it doesn't.
The benefit is pretty simple. I write better content faster. My messaging lands closer to the truth on the first draft instead of the fourth. And when someone asks me why I positioned something a certain way I have an actual answer.

 ### 39. Embracing the new world of AEO with Profound

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew B. | SEO Content & Blog Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Profound?**

Profound has rolled out quite a few new features and capabilities that have helped my SEO/GEO team a lot in recent months—most notably, the Agents rollout which has helped us better track our AEO health score and monitor which long-tail, high-intent prompts are 'decaying' and, thus, in need of some re-optimization. While we're still just scratching the surface of how we'll make the most of Agents, it's clear that the out-of-the-box/templates ones already in the platform are easy to use, and it's simple enough to use the native AI assistant to build more bespoke/complex agent workflows in a matter of minutes (something we especially enjoy since we're not the most technical squad). I also appreciate the hands-on workshop our account team provided us to ensure we're taking full advantage of Agents and our biweekly check-ins just to go over use cases, needs, comments/concerns, and learn about the upcoming product roadmap in general.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

While Agents is being embedded more and more into our weekly and monthly SEO/GEO workflows, getting the Agents to do EXACTLY what we're looking for is a bit tough; that said, part of the issue falls on us not fully fleshing out our knowledge base and implementing more distinct/specific instructions for LLM Prompt nodes in the Agents themselves. Also, more of a broader SEO space concern, but attribution and knowing which new metrics matter most is something we're still trying to wrap our heads around; in the future, we're looking for some more actionable insights from the platform that can definitively tell us if our website content that we create/refresh using Profound is actually providing the desired ROI in terms of citations/mentions/visibility.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our business recognizes the need to get ahead of the curve with the changing search landscape. Profound is enabling us to get actionable insights that can help our organization take the necessary steps to evolve and advance our SEO/AEO efforts and ensure we continue to get our website and digital properties in front of our target audience. Even though we only recently secured Profound, it's already starting to have positive effects on our organic marketing strategy/roadmap.

 ### 40. Makes AI Search Visibility Measurable with Prompt-Level Insights and Citation Tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris G. | VP, Growth, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

The single most valuable thing Profound does for us is make AI search visibility measurable. For years we operated on the assumption that traditional SEO and rank tracking captured how buyers find AdQuick. That stopped being true the moment ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews became part of the research path for media planners and brand marketers. Profound is the first tool I've used that gives a clean, daily read on whether we show up in the answers, and just as importantly, whether our competitors do.
The prompt-level data is what I keep coming back to. Seeing the exact questions that surface AdQuick across different AI engines, plus the ones where we're missing, has reshaped how our content and PR teams prioritize. It turns AEO from a vague strategy conversation into a concrete worklist our marketing org can actually execute against.
Citation tracking is the other piece that earns its keep. Knowing which third-party domains the models trust when they answer questions about out-of-home advertising platforms tells us where to focus partnerships, contributed content, and earned media. That's competitive intelligence we didn't have in any structured form before.
The UI is fast, the data is trustworthy, and the team ships meaningfully every few weeks, which matters in a category changing this quickly.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

Honestly, nothing material. If I had to invent something, I'd say the category itself is so new that best practices are still being written in real time, but that's not a Profound problem, that's an industry condition. The team has been responsive every time we've asked for something, and the product has kept pace with how fast the underlying AI engines are changing.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The core problem is that buyer behavior has shifted faster than our measurement stack. Media planners, agency strategists, and brand marketers are increasingly starting their research inside ChatGPT, Perplexity, and AI Overviews rather than Google's traditional results page. Until we brought on Profound, we had no reliable way to know whether AdQuick was part of those answers, which competitors were, or what the models were citing as authoritative sources on out-of-home advertising. We were investing in content, PR, and thought leadership on instinct rather than evidence.
Profound closed that gap. We now have a daily read on our share of voice across the major AI engines, the specific prompts where we show up and where we don't, and the domains the models lean on when they answer category questions. That has translated into a few concrete benefits. Our content team prioritizes based on real prompt gaps instead of keyword guesses. Our PR and partnerships work is pointed at domains with measurable LLM influence. And I can walk into a board conversation with a defensible answer to "how is AdQuick positioned for AI-driven discovery," which is rapidly becoming a question every CEO in our space needs to answer.
The net benefit is that AEO has moved from an abstract concern to an operational workstream with a feedback loop.

 ### 41. Profound is ahead of the game

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** jake s. | Marketing Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I love how many updates their team makes to the platform. We do biweekly meetings, and every meeting comes with something really exciting. They also always ask and listen to what our needs are and how they can improve the platform for our needs. It also doesn't feel like they are pushing new features just to do it because each addition adds real value to our team. For example, we needed help writing FAQs and Articles and their workflows really helped us get on top of that. The UI of the workflows was really intuitive and easy to use. The content it made really boosted our performance and integrated well with our content creation. Not only does it keep us on track with our content, but we can analyze how well our content efforts are doing and adjust accordingly. I think the profound team is incredible. They are all very knowledgeable of the product, AI, and trends. Their excitement about their work rubs off on our team and has boosted our results incredibly.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

I don't think i have many disliked about profound itself. I think any of our problems are on our own accord or related to the uncertainty around AI. We just need to be more disciplined and on top of our content, and the uncertainty around AI is uncontrollable.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound is solving our problem of not understanding how to adapt in a new AI marketing world. So many people do not understand how something so new but important in our future is going to evolve, but we want to be at the forefront. Profound keeps us ahead of everyone else in the marketing world. The content we create for AI also serves us for other initiatives since we can repurpose that content to other channels. I would also say it really was helping with our bandwidth because being able to create content to optimize for AEO felt really daunting and difficult. But having such an intuitive and easy platform to use allowed us to actually get on top of it.

 ### 42. Best AEO data, easy UI, best in the market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Madhav B. | Founding Marketer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

AEO data quality in Profound is probably the most accurate and deep across all tools in the space. Also, the UI is really easy to understand. I also like that I can see all my AI traffic by connecting GA and GSC and go deep into my AI traffic sources, keywords etc

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

It's great at giving a lot of good data and insights, but it's not so great at actually actioning on that data with AI. It'll give great data and recommendations to grow your AEO traffic in all but I use another tool to make the changes. But I believe that's changing as they recently added these new set of tools to action on the data

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound gives us visibility into how we're doing in LLM SEO, if we're being cited, and competitive analysis, helping build our AEO strategy. It's helping us grow our LLM SEO traffic and drive more pipeline because of it.

 ### 43. Great platform for AEO

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christina S. | Sr Demand Gen & Partnerships Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Profound?**

Profound is super easy to set up and use, and I love how transparent it is. Being able to see and adjust prompts gives us a lot of flexibility, and the ability to monitor sentiment and track which citations are driving the strongest mentions has been a big win. I love how fast new features are coming out, too. It’s sparked smart SEO ideas and helped us double down on keywords that are actually moving the needle, not just in search, but across other parts of our marketing strategy too.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

It has a lot of information! It would be great if they pieced it together better for stronger suggestions.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound gives us a much clearer view of how and where we’re being mentioned, and which of those mentions are actually helping. It’s been useful for spotting strong citations and figuring out which keywords are worth leaning into, especially on the SEO side. It’s not doing all the work for us, but it’s definitely helped surface smart areas to explore further. It’s also made it easier to track sentiment and understand what’s resonating without spending hours digging through mentions manually.

 ### 44. Evolving Interface, Helpful AI Insights, and Fantastic Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frank M. | Director Analytics, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

It has consistently evolved it's interface incorporating feedback to make more impactful results. It's newer AI overview sections as well as "Opportunities" are very helpful at initiating a stepping stone point to dive deep into analysis. Being able to plug in and integrate actual website URLs is also extremely helpful. The team has been fantastic at support, onboarding - fixing any issues and incorporating any feedback that we have into both the platform and the underlying data.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

Sentiment analysis could use a "Neutral" feature as opposed to just a binary Positive or Negative as sometimes with my clients cost implications get grouped into negative, but its not a true negative.
Diving into the raw data is a bit clunky especially when I have team members asking for which specific prompts/keywords or citations are driving and impacting performance

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its allowing us to stay competitive in the AIO space
Providing additional insights to our clients regarding how their brands and websites are performing and showing up in AI searches - allowing us to upsell services while also getting a better read on the digital ecosystem

 ### 45. Turning Complex AI Data Into Actionable Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hayk H. | Senior SEO & AEO Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

What I like best about Profound is how it turns a complex, unclear space into clear, actionable data. From a data analysis perspective, it’s been extremely useful for tracking AI visibility across platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and other LLMs, and understanding how our brand performs in LLM-generated responses.

The prompt-level insights, competitor comparisons, and trend tracking make it easy to spot patterns and measure changes over time. It also does a great job of surfacing opportunities based on real data, which helps prioritise where to focus optimisation efforts.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

There's not much I dislike about Profound. If anything, I'd just say there are still a few features I’d like to see added or expanded over time, but they’re already shipping updates at a really fast pace. Also, whenever we’ve run into any issues, their support team has been quick to respond and usually gets things resolved very fast.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound solves the challenge of understanding and measuring AI visibility in a space that is otherwise very hard to track. It brings together all the analysis and reporting data for us and our clients into one place.

It allows us and our clients to clearly see how brands are performing across LLMs, track changes over time, and identify the biggest opportunities. This has been especially valuable in shaping content and optimisation strategies based on real data.

Overall, it gives both us and our clients the visibility and confidence to make informed decisions and directly measure the impact of our work.

 ### 46. Profound Boosted Our AIO Citation Share with Scalable YouTube SEO Workflows

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Irene C. | SEO Technical Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I love Profound!

In terms of strategy looking at Citation Shares in AIO we have identified a new strategy: an SEO YouTube strategy. As a result of the use of Profound to identify new strategy we have secured a +1.5% increase in Citation Share in AI Overviews (AIO) and a +0.3% increase in LLM citations via YouTube.

Thanks to the Profound University training courses and to the constant contact and availability of the Profound team as well as their webinar we have learned to create agents and use them at scale to minimize the time spent for manual work. For example I have used the agents to create a workflow to pull from prompts relevant topics and from the topics to create the YouTube title and scripts. Thanks to the Sheet function I have used the agent at scale generating in bulk a full 3 months topics and scripts for YouTube videos saving hours of time and back and forth messages.

Since the tools is easy to use the content team is also using it to add our You Tube videos and to check the prompts and answers, serving as a tool that enables the content team to be more autonomous.

Overall the several layers and uses of the Profound tool makes it ideal for any marketers profile from the easier case of use to the more technical refined agent creation and the large amount of videos on how to use really makes the difference in taking full advantage of Profound.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

Overall Profound platform is great, however there are few improvements for instance if you work for thew same company but with several multi country domains having in the settings the tracking for only one domain is a bit misleading.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound is 1. showing how we are performing in terms of visibility in AIO and along the other LLMs and acting as our thermometer to measure how are strategies are impacting AI visibility 2. Helping us identify new strategies to increase our AI visibility leading to accelerated conversions resulting in final business growth. Furthermore Profound is saving us so much time between the easy to use of the platform allowing to delegate tasks and the use of agents at scale.

 ### 47. How Profound boosts brand visibility with AI Insights and Agent-Based workflows

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** MATEO A. | Customer Acquisition Manager (Digital Media) at Rexel Group, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

Profound is a high-performance, all-in-one platform that effectively addresses both GEO and AEO in a fast-evolving digital environment.

Since implementation, we’ve significantly improved our ability to monitor brand visibility at a global scale and can now seamlessly track more than 5 million product references from our e-commerce ecosystem through Answer Engine Insights in all the active GPTs that our customers.

From a performance standpoint, Profound delivers clear and measurable impact. It significantly enhances brand visibility, accelerates time-to-execution, and provides actionable insights that directly support the optimization of e-commerce content. The platform offers data-driven visibility into which types of AI agents interact with our website and how to optimize for them, enabling us to better align our content with AI-driven discovery.

The user interface is another key strength, intuitive, well-structured, and easy to navigate, making it simple for teams to access and act on insights. This usability is reinforced by high-quality training sessions, where Profound introduces the forward-thinking concept of “marketing engineering,” empowering teams to fully leverage the platform’s capabilities.

While the pricing is on the higher end, the value delivered justifies the investment. Profound stands out as one of the most advanced and impactful platforms currently available on the market.

Overall, Profound represents a new generation of performance-driven technology, enabling businesses to better understand AI ecosystems and how GPT-based engines interact with online content—making it an essential solution for any organization looking to stay competitive.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

While the platform can represent a significant investment, especially for large organizations managing extensive product catalogs, the cost reflects the level of quality, innovation, and performance it delivers. For businesses operating at scale, the value ultimately justifies the investment.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of its most powerful features is the agent-based functionality. These agents integrate directly with our martech stack and allow us to create ready-to-deploy workflows that can be quickly implemented in our webshop. This significantly boosts operational efficiency and reduces manual effort, freeing up teams to focus on higher-value activities.

 ### 48. Vital for Tracking AI Visibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maryia F. | Senior Digital PR & Content Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I love the straightforward interface of Profound, which makes it easy to set up and track AI visibility, even for those not familiar with it. I find the actionable insights extremely valuable for planning work with AI visibility in mind. Profound University is fantastic, offering very useful knowledge on GEO, AI search, and the Profound tool itself. I'd recommend it to both new and experienced users. I'm also appreciative of the sentiment tracking, visibility ranking by topic, and content generation features. The setup process was quite easy, with demo calls and support from the Profound team.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

I would appreciate the process of prompt creation to be more guided: the prompts automatically suggested by Profound were quite far from our brand and functionality, and when writing everything from scratch, I struggled sometimes to understand if I'm doing it right. Profound offers articles on that topic on their blog, but I'd love some more support with this in the tool. It's super important because if the prompts are set up incorrectly (and they were originally when we had them just auto-generated by Profound), nothing else can work right.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Profound for tracking AI visibility and improving it. It helps us compare our presence in LLMs to competitors and track sentiment. The interface and insights make planning with AI visibility easy. Profound University enhances our skills with valuable learning.

 ### 49. A Mature, Cutting-Edge AI Search Platform Backed by a Truly Helpful Team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James P. | SEO Director & Partner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

Profound is a highly mature product for companies who take AI search seriously. It is at the forefront of companies truly taking AI search monitoring into agentic workflows to then capitalise on the opportunities the platform presents. The team behind Profound are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

There is not much I dislike about Profound. The only barrier to entry is price. They are tailored incredibly well for growth and Enterprise companies.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound is helping us understand the AI search landscape for our customers across many LLMs. Not only that core feature, but the ability to start acting on the insights through innovative "chat with Profound data" and more enables my team more than other platforms. Data simplicity is another key area for me. The tools can overwhelm you with data points, but due to fantastic UI, you're able to clearly understand and then demonstrate the data presented to you.

 ### 50. Profound Makes AI Search Visibility Measurable with Powerful Prompt Tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sadhvika C. | Operations Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

Before Profound, we had no way to measure how our brand was showing up in AI-generated answers across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and others — it was a total black box. The prompt tracking dashboards changed that completely. I can now see exactly which queries surface our brand, how we're positioned relative to competitors, and how that's trending over time. The Conversation Explorer is a standout feature — being able to browse real prompt data and understand what users are actually asking LLMs helps us prioritize content efforts with real signal instead of guesswork. It's also made reporting to leadership way easier since I can now put hard numbers behind AI search visibility, which used to be impossible to quantify.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

The learning curve in the first couple of weeks was a bit steep — there are a lot of features and it took some time to figure out which dashboards and views mattered most for our use case. It would also be nice to have more flexibility in how you can customize and export reports. Neither of these are dealbreakers though.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AI search is quickly becoming the first touchpoint for a lot of our potential customers, and we had no visibility into whether our brand was even being mentioned in those conversations. Profound solved that by giving us a clear, data-driven picture of our AI search presence. In the few months we've been using it, we've been able to identify gaps where competitors were showing up and we weren't, then adjust our content strategy to close those gaps. It's turned AI search from something we were ignoring into an active channel we're optimizing for.
