  ### 3. Seamless Integration with D365 F&O and Excellent Implementation Support from BlueStar PLM

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicholas B. | Director of IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Bluestar PLM?**

We had a great experience implementing BlueStar PLM, and the delivery team truly stood out for their deep expertise, professionalism, and collaborative approach throughout the project. From initial planning to go-live to post go-live optimization, their team demonstrated strong knowledge of both engineering and ERP processes, helping us streamline product data management within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O). BlueStar PLM's out-of-the-box integration between 3DS Solidworks CAD systems and D365 F&O ERP has improved the engineering change management process (ECOs), BOM synchronization between engineering and operations, and item creation processes. The solution's ability to centralize product data in real time within the ERP has enhanced our traceability and reduced manual errors. Features like embedded engineering workflows, CAD-to-ERP item creation, and product lifecycle visibility have made a noticeable impact on efficiency and compliance. We highly recommend BlueStar PLM for any organization looking to unify engineering and manufacturing under the D365 ecosystem.

**What do you dislike about Bluestar PLM?**

While the overall implementation was successful, the user interface within the PLM workspace could be more intuitive for non-technical users and required some tailoring. Some of our team members, especially those outside engineering, faced a learning curve when navigating certain advanced features. Enhanced UI/UX design and more role-specific dashboards would further improve user adoption and day-to-day usability across departments. More out of box reports about items and BOMs would help with cross-functional, too.

**What problems is Bluestar PLM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BlueStar PLM is solving our challenge of disconnected engineering and ERP systems by seamlessly integrating CAD data and released produce data, creating one coherent product lifecycle processes in D365 F&O. Item creation and release has been streamlined, improving BOM accuracy, and reducing manual data entry.

  ### 4. Very good and it is possible to grow with system capability

The integration in ERP. everything is connected directly i real time between ERP & PLM.
The versatality in connections to other softwares as CAD and office programs is covering mainly everything that could be necessary.

**What do you dislike about Bluestar PLM?**

In real words, nothing. It is a powerful information tool.

**What problems is Bluestar PLM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manual handling of documents.
With more than 50k of documents that needs revision control and also user access rights control it helps alot

  ### 5. Bluestar is a very good and above all fully integrated PLM in AX

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Walter Z. | CAD/PLM Admin, Design Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Bluestar PLM?**

Perfect integration and an absolutely common database. It can manage several CADs in parallel.

**What do you dislike about Bluestar PLM?**

As it is not a proprietary tool, it cannot access the native cad data as deeply.

**What problems is Bluestar PLM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

single point of truth
A BOM entry must automatically appear in the order. A release must be automated.
Bluestar has made the corresponding adjustments very flexibly. In a workshop at Bluestar, we were able to integrate various workflows together with the developers.
