I am in awe with how well it works and what it does. **What problems is Patronum solving and how is that benefiting you?** Patronum helps to solve many issues, onboarding and off-boarding employees who may have accessed sensitive information. Keeping a large folder structure organized and secure and allowing teams to be able to have access to what they need in order to do their work without compromising security. ### 2. Our first policy was to create a unified email signature, but we quickly expanded and now have Patronum automating almost everything. We configured onboarding policies that automatically emails new members, and welcomes them to the business, a game changer from where we were before. Users automatically have access to all the correct resources. Google calendars are added to users calendar view, team members added to Chat Spaces without needing to request access. And Google Groups are tightly controlled. Our offboarding policies mean that leavers are security removed, while retaining all data, which we store on a central Shared Drive. The File Sharing section was a massive addition, and help us identify files that had been shared publicly which we then reviewed and unshared via Patronum. **What do you dislike about Patronum?** Nothing. Although I wish Google would just buy Patronum, as it's much nicer and easier to use than the Google Admin Console. **What problems is Patronum solving and how is that benefiting you?** Patronum has help us change how we welcome new members to our organisation. Everything is fully automated, both on and offboarding. The surprise from Patronum was how they keep adding new features to the product, File Sharing, and Email Authentication recently added without an increase in price. Dealing with the team at Patronum is refreshing, from onboarding us to joining the Google Workspace Hangout Community they help run. ### 3. Patronum is AMAZING! Patronum allowed me to do things I could NOT do in G-Drive, and FAST. Google leaves so much to be desired on their design...and Patronum fills in the gaps and makes things EASY. Simple things like exporting a file list or searching for external emails/users is not possible in Google, yet Patronum makes it a breeze. I am so grateful and want to shout Patronum's praises from the rooftops! **What do you dislike about Patronum?** There were some parts of the layout that occasionally got a little buggy. Occasionally I'd have to run tasks more than once—but the end result I needed was always successful! :) **What problems is Patronum solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was facing a difficult challenge: cleaning up years of externally shared Google Drive files without locking down the entire Workspace. I tried speaking with Google reps, using coded scripts, and other methods—all with no success. Our files were a mess and cleaning them up in bulk was starting to seem impossible. Then I saw Patronum mentioned in a Reddit thread and decided to give it a shot... Using the free trial, I was able to do what I’d been struggling with for weeks. It had brilliant onboarding and offboarding features, signature management, and sophisticated permissions analysis for Google Drive. It's an affordable GUI solution that is invaluable. No fiddling, no complicated command lines. It just works! And, the folks behind it are accessible, friendly, knowledgeable, and always there to help. **What do you dislike about Patronum?** There's not Microsoft 365 version of their solution? But that's just fine. Its user interface is effectively integrated with our administration console and we won't have complexity while handling the LDAP directory. It also enables our users to search for any individual records without exposing the location specifics. The distribution of our LDAP can also be done among multiple servers and Patronum ensures proper replication and helps in passing requests to other directory system agents. **What do you dislike about Patronum?** None actually. Patronum utilizes exchange servers for communicating with our active directory. Each user's account information is properly maintained even when there are multiple attribute definitions. All our repetitive tasks can be conveniently automated and the policy engine will make sure to update all user logs and their settings. **What problems is Patronum solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Patronum for retail marketing & sales management in our organization. It acts as a centralized platform for our team as we work on various collaborations, proposals and client presentations. The company's branding is upheld even if there is huge traffic & we also obtain insights to understand our customer expectations. Most unique signature templates I've seen till date. We changed our old signature the day afer we started using Patronum. 5) Auto on-boarding of users with pre-defined access to files & folders. 6) User off-boarding with Patronum allows you to save data from deleted users' accounts. Very helpful feature for data protection **What do you dislike about Patronum?** Nothing in particular, but there's certainly scope for more functionality with backing up emails & drive contents. I would really like to see this tool automatize everything that a WorkSpace admin has to do manually. Not really a great tool for companies with single digit headcount, works wonders for large companies. **What problems is Patronum solving and how is that benefiting you?** I run a small business, but even small companies face big challenges when it comes to managing IT infrastructure. We've tried other similar software solutions in the past, but Patronum is the best one we've ever used. The most useful features of Partonum for our organization are: Fully automatized on-boarding & off-boarding of users. Organizational chart Contact sharing Calendar sharing & management Task Sharing Google Drive Management Inbuilt Email Signature Templates Using Patronum has saved us hundreds of hours of effort that went into managing redundant & repetitive tasks. Needless to say, this tool pays for itself several times over in just one month. :) ### 12. These were rare, unfortunately. The signature management dashboard needs some work also. The HTML doesn't reflect what you've copied into sometimes - so be careful if you paste an existing signature into Patronum's signature box. What comes out may not look the same (this is in GMail) **What problems is Patronum solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest thing for us was signature management for new employees and re-assigning Drive files for someone taking over a position that belonged to someone else. It used to be a bit hectic, but the program saved us a lot of time. ### 13. I would recommend Patronum to every Google Workspace administrator wanting to make their job easier. **What do you dislike about Patronum?** Nothing, it does exactly what you need as a Google Workspace adminstrator **Recommendations to others considering Patronum:** We love the responsiveness of the Patronum team. We tried other more expensive products in the Google marketplace and were very disappointed by the lack of support and customer care. The team at Patronum are super knowledgeable and want to help us, instead of trying to up sell us. **What problems is Patronum solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before Patronum, creating and managing Google Workspace users was a complete pain, we are a fast-growing organisation so the onboarding and offboarding features are a great time saver. ### 14. Label sharing helps us internally to share all contacts easily. With the on- and offboarding workflows, my Google Workspace admin life became more straightforward, focusing on my main tasks easier. **What do you dislike about Patronum?** My big wish would be to extend the features of this tool, so I can do even more within Patronum and have to use the admin console even less. **Recommendations to others considering Patronum:** Talk to Patronum to get a Google partner referral. I found one which offers us Patronum for free. **What problems is Patronum solving and how is that benefiting you?** Settings depending on the department and position of a user can be easily changed by Patronum. To reflect the change of a user within Google Workspace to a different department always took time. Now it's a few click actions and easily repeatable correctly. ### 15. It enables us to have a simple shared contact system that we control and enables us to show the callers we have stored in our CRM and synced with one Google Account. Additionally, it is super easy to automate our user management for our admins and have them controlled by our People Management team that does not currently work with an HR tool. We give them access to a restricted Patronum account to create, manage, and disable end-user accounts and have the rest of Google Workspace segmented away from them. The marketing team loves the automated signatures too. **What do you dislike about Patronum?** I'm not too fond of the fact mass edits of file sharing settings and other huge tasks across the entire domain still require us to use GAM. **Recommendations to others considering Patronum:** Consider the amount of time you, your team, or other teams spent doing repetitive tasks and see if this product can help alleviate most of your problems. **What problems is Patronum solving and how is that benefiting you?** We solve for missing sharing settings in contacts and the missing Google Voice integration with our CRM. These stop our call center team from understanding who is calling them. Enabling contact sharing between a central account and all call center people resolves this issue mostly.
