"Experience with Passolo"
What do you like best about Passolo?

What I like best about Passolo is how easy it makes managing translation projects. The translation memory feature is really useful - it saves time by reusing previous translations for repetitive content. I also appreciate the ability to customize workflows and assign tasks to translators. The built-in QA tools like spellcheck make it easy to catch errors. And the analysis features provide helpful insights into how much content needs to be translated and estimated costs. Overall, Passolo streamlines our localization process and helps us deliver multilingual content faster and more efficiently. The interface is intuitive too, so it doesn't take long for translators to learn their way around. For me, Passolo is an indispensable translation management platform. What do you dislike about Passolo?

The terminology management could be better. Maintaining consistent terminology is crucial for localization, but Passolo's term base tools feel a bit clunky and outdated. I wish it was easier to collaborate with translators on building and managing term bases.

Customization can get complex. While it's great that workflows can be customized, things can get overly complicated with setting up user roles, task steps, sign-offs, etc. Sometimes I feel like I'm configuring software code rather than just setting up a translation process.

Stability issues. Like any software, Passolo has its share of bugs and glitches. I've experienced crashes while using the QA tools and other features. They release updates and fixes, but quality control seems uneven at times.

The reporting isn't very flexible. The built-in reports are decent, but I wish I could easily customize reports to get insights tailored to my needs. Accessing analytics like translator productivity or cost per word requires exporting data to analyze elsewhere.

It's pricey. Passolo offers a lot of capabilities, but it's one of the more expensive TMS platforms. The pricing plans aren't very transparent either. I have to negotiate custom quotes for each project.

Customer support is hit or miss. I rely on the Passolo team for training and troubleshooting. Sometimes they're very responsive, other times it takes days to get an answer. For the high price, I'd expect much better support.

Overall, Passolo gets the job done as a TMS, but it has some noticeable shortcomings. I put up with them because the platform does offer productivity gains compared to managing translations manually. But I hope they make improvements in weak areas like terminology and customization to deliver more value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Passolo?

The cost of Passolo is quite high, which can be a problem for small companies or freelancers looking to save on production costs. Also, the software can be difficult for novice users to learn and use. There are many features and options available, which can make navigation complicated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Passolo?

Easy to use, for those who already have experience with Trados it is even easier as it is similar but Trados Studio has more features Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Passolo?

I think Passolo is a little bit more difficult than Trados for those who are already used to it. I also miss features I can find in Trados Studio like machine translator interface + formats allowed and compatibility with MemoQ Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible in-context editor"
What do you like best about Passolo?

I enjoyed taking after elements - Its an open source programming so you can play around with the APIs. It likewise has an auto complete alternative which recommends phrases from the utilized dialects. It stores whatever it has deciphered in the past and uses that for capable elucidations later on. Passolo has a considerable measure of capable capacities which give you a chance to reuse past interpretations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Passolo?

obviously there are a couple missing elements, for example, a "status" field for every interpretation unit, yet I know from the client gathering that they're chipping away at it. Its not accessible on Mac, which is the most worry since a large portion of the staff takes a shot at Macs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
