As a founding member of Famebirds Influencer Marketing Platform, I have had a first hand experience of the Orlit Software with the team and leads powering the coding and application. My true review of Orlit begins from a standpoint of a startup founder wanting to give up on her dreams before the idea gets a chance to even be born. After two failed attempts with software developers, Orlit came to the rescue at the nick of time.
While I may not say that the Famebirds Web-Platform development journey with Orlit has been hassle-free, here are few highlights or key considerations for anyone looking to adopt the Orlit Software as a solution;
Orlit Software is built as an Ecommerce Software solution however its so adaptable to any tech-enabled idea or solution. Famebirds is an Influencer Marketing Platform is a tech-enabled solution for marketing and Famebirds successfuly integrated the E-commerce model to ensure that when users sign up on our platform, they can easily book an influencer on the go.
The features of Orlits Software is quite robust particularly the content management system that could enable you have unlimited products and product categories, sellers (in our case creators), and easy point of retail system.
Orlit has all the basic features and is excellent on functionality. We did not have the monopoly of having all the specific features peculiar to our influencer marketing platform or everything we wanted to implement in our platform design but Orlit did their best to accommodate and also encode the features they didn't have into their Software. In terms of the design, Famebirds had its unique complexities based on our target audience of both influencers and businesses and brands - it just had to be designed in a certain way that is captivating and different from a regular web platform. So we were able to design our UI/UX and present to Orlit who did their very best in interpreting and representing our designs. With the assistance of Orlit, we are assured of continuous optimizing of our user interface and designs as more people engage the platform.
Orlit did not only solve our technology problem, they also trained and equipped our team. Though tech-savvy, our team was limited in experience in the area Software development, however, Orlit team had series of training sessions to transform us from greenhorn to knowledgeable or informed technology solution providers. They gave us access to their back end resources to explore as much as possible, they made this a mandatory process such that we can fully manage our products and platform operations after moving to production, without any need for any particular coding skills. I'll try not to get funny (lol), I like the idea of being a tech guru, using all the Python, Java, React, Ruby on Rail, and other coding languages, but with Orlit, problem solved! I just get to focus on the data and using that data to drive results in our industry space.
In terms of engagement with the Orlit team, from the lead to the support team assigned to Famebirds for correspondence, Orlit remained professional and organized; updating us on the stages of development, scheduling review meetings, proper email messaging system, prompt attendance to enquiries and complaints. They are just an effective and efficient team you'd like to manage your technology solutions - no hype!
Finally, while we are now capable of managing our platform, I am actually glad that maintenance and optimization of the platform by Orlit, is guaranteed. Orlit came through for us and I do recommend without reservations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The downside witnessed is Orlit not meeting up with or being able to adapt and adopt all our platform specifications. It's functional, adaptable but CMS flexibility will have to be optimized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
