
Timing is everything. Grant, Account Exec, reached out to me on the same day I received a contract renewal offer from our primary competitor, Bectran. The renewal proposal included an 11% increase, which I was informed was non-negotiable. This situation opened the door for us to explore a far superior application, which provides the added benefits of Creditsafe reports as part of the standard package, along with credit management for our existing portfolio.
Why:
1. Nuvo's annual costs for the next three years are expected to be on par with the previous year with Bectran, leading to an overall cost savings of 11% year over year.
2. Nuvo's credit application is considerably more user-friendly for our customers, and this is the most important. Additionally, the credit analysts are enjoying the application, and there has been a time savings in decisions. Time is money!
- In the first month alone, I received positive feedback from both customers and our Sales teams.
3. Nuvo provides added security with its fraud detection checks, ensuring that we are working with legitimate businesses—a feature we did not have with the competitor.
4. Their bank account integration with Plaid is far superior to anything we have encountered in the application space. Currently, 60-70% of our customers are utilizing this feature, which not only assists with new applications but also enhances our future account credit management.
5. As previously mentioned, Nuvo includes CreditSafe, which will help us achieve future cost savings on credit services. We will be able to eliminate one of our credit service companies. Additionally, having CreditSafe will benefit our account credit management efforts because there is continuous score updates.
6. Nuvo can easily integrate into our ERP systems. This will allow us to upload data into it and thus reduce data entry. Nuvo is simplifying the onboarding process, and this is a cost savings!
Throughout my interactions with Grant and the Sales team, I frequently expressed to my CFO that everything felt too good to be true. Better user / customer-friendly system with cost savings. All proven to be true and, if I may say so, even better than expected.
We had an aggressive six-week deadline to implement our new application since we were nearing the end of our contract with Bectran. To facilitate this, Grant assigned us an outstanding Customer Success Manager, Courtney Pardini. She successfully met this deadline with ease. During the six weeks, we had a “wrinkle” with one of our subsidiaries. Courtney came up with a suitable workaround and introduced it to their development team. While we still need to complete a few more phases to finish the project, I have little doubt that these will be completed in the same efficient manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As mentioned in “like best,” we had an issue with the management of our Tax Exempt Certificates. Bectran has an automated email notification to the customer to supply updated information. I have been told this feature has been discussed at Nuvo and hopefully will be added. As mentioned, there is a workaround but we would prefer a permanent solution.
