"Project management above and beyond Excel"

What do you like best?

Rolling wave planning on scheduling -- hard to do in Excel; easy to manage in Project!

What-if analyses can allow you to simulate planning

Generate great timelines for milestone planning

What do you dislike?

Some features require the Pro version, such as Team Planner (for team/resource planning) and Inactive Tasks (which allows for conditional, what-if analyses planning), List price for Pro is near $1000 but you can get it for as little as $730 or so Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Project 2010 is much improved over earlier versions -- if you have a difficult or complex project to manage, using project management software like this should definitely be considered

Absolutely utilize Timeline View which is like Gantt charting on steroids Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Overpriced Project Manager"

What do you like best?

I guess the fact that it was microsoft branded was the fact it was easy to bring everyone aboard and get them into the software. It made connecting with other members on a project super easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I disliked how every aspect of this software reminded me of Google Drive Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I recommend checking out Trello, Google Drive, and literally any other tool that can connect multiple people. The problem with Microsoft project was the expensive cost for such a disappointing product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We needed a way to connect multiple people over three departments to collaborate on projects. This was proposed due to it having a Microsoft branding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
