"Powerful Integration Capabilities, Steady Learning Curve"
What do you like best about Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central?

I really like Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central's seamless integration with all the tools, especially in the Microsoft ecosystem. The SaaS deployment is great as it removes the need for infrastructure management, patching, and upgrade projects, letting teams focus completely on deliverability and value creation. The financials have a solid and simple structure, which I find reliable with strong governance through posting logic, dimensions, and audit trails. The personalized dashboards and Power BI integration allow for clean, crisp, and beautiful dashboards. AL extensions and APIs enable customization while protecting the base application with future updates. It also supports organizations as they mature, without forcing an early move, which I appreciate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central?

There are a few product aspects of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central that could be improved. One issue is that its simplicity is sometimes too much, and it needs a bit more for users who want more functionality. Managing multiple customizations and ISVs along with updates becomes cumbersome. Operational users often struggle, as the UI, while logical, is not always intuitive for warehousing. Advanced manufacturing and warehousing often require third-party apps. The standard reports are adequate but very limited, requiring a lot of customizations. Integrations are complex, and Microsoft updates, while beneficial, can disrupt customizations. High transaction values can bottleneck the system, causing performance degradation. Early design decisions like COA dimensions and posting groups are hard to reverse and can impact long-term usability if rushed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
