The setup process is complicated, and the licensing can be challenging to manage. Additionally, there are restrictions on how much you can customise the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like using Microsoft Entra ID for managing all users and resources for access, authorization, and authentication. It really helps with centralized login and security management for users and apps. I also appreciate how IAM and SSO interact with Azure and third-party apps, which was particularly beneficial for us since we had many third-party and Azure apps with authentication issues. Microsoft Entra ID made it easier to create centralized management for everything. Setting up was straightforward, involving creating a tenant and configuring it with a domain. The license features and assignment for high-level management, like PIM or conditional access, are a little complicated. I believe Microsoft Entra ID should integrate an AI agent that interacts with all features and helps people to understand and apply changes conveniently as per their requirements. The most important thing liked about the Entra Id is having Entra ID P2 licenses and we can configure many conditional access policies related to security. (1) Azure portal block policy for non global admin users. (2) High User risk and high Sign-in risk will block the user access (3) MFA Configuration enforce policy for all internal users except Global Admin 94) Outdated Legacy authentication method block Policy for Users

(5) Can access M 365 only from any specific region or country. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The pricing for Entra ID P2 is very high. For technical support also must have to pay additional cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like most about Microsoft Entra ID is how straightforward it makes centralized identity and access management. It cuts down on the administrative effort required to manage users and devices across the organization. It has a seamless UI and a lot of integrated tools for administrative tasks. Haven't noticed any major drawbacks, sometimes the sync takes time but that is all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Microsoft Entra have lots of improvement from past area of security and they also integrated with AI technology. I think they need to improvement in their hybrid organisation environment of AD or cloud identity object because during the migration we face multiple issues to migrate shared mailbox and other resources identity. One Downside of Entra id is that some of its advanced security features, such as conditional access policies, are only available in higher tier licences. This can increase costs for organization that want to fully utitlize its security capabilities Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Microsoft Entra ID provides a centralized platform for managing identities, access policies, and authentication across enterprise applications. In our environment, it supports user provisioning, single sign-on, conditional access policies, and MFA enforcement, which strengthens security while also improving the overall user experience. Some advanced configurations and troubleshooting can be time-consuming, particularly when you’re managing complex access policies. The interface can also feel overwhelming at first, especially for new administrators who are still getting familiar with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like most about Microsoft Entra ID is how well it balances security with usability. Features such as Conditional Access and Identity Protection make it straightforward to enforce a zero-trust approach without adding too much friction for users. Another major advantage is its tight integration with Azure and Microsoft 365, which helps simplify identity management across both cloud and hybrid environments.

It also stands out for supporting modern authentication options like passwordless sign-in and MFA, along with the flexibility to integrate third-party apps through standards such as SAML and OAuth. Overall, it feels like a scalable, well-integrated identity platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The UI and naming changes (Azure AD → Entra ID) can be confusing, especially when documentation and in-product menus don’t always line up. Troubleshooting Conditional Access policies can also get complex quickly, and debugging access issues isn’t always straightforward. Licensing can feel fragmented as well, with important security features spread across different tiers (P1, P2, etc.). In some areas there’s limited granularity such as reporting or certain policy controls compared to more niche IAM tools. Finally, there’s a clear dependency on the Microsoft ecosystem: it works best within it, but integrations outside of it can sometimes take extra effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The 'Security Defaults' allow me to instantly deploy Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) across my entire organization without needing a dedicated security team. As the founder of Brzi AI, having enterprise-grade identity management (SSO, Conditional Access) available for a lean startup is critical for protecting our IP and data from day one. The learning curve for the initial configuration can be steep for non-technical founders. The interface is powerful but dense; distinguishing between 'User Settings' and 'Enterprise Applications' requires significant documentation reading. It is clearly built for IT professionals, which can be overwhelming for small business owners implementing it solo. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like most about Microsoft Entra ID is how it brings identity, access, and security controls together in a way that’s practical to manage while still being strong from a risk perspective. It provides a clear view of who has access to what, supports least-privilege access through groups and Conditional Access, and makes it straightforward to add layers like MFA, compliance checks, and sign-in risk controls. From an operations standpoint, the built-in access reviews, audit logs, and sign-in reporting help me answer real-world questions more quickly—whether I’m responding to an incident or pulling evidence for an audit. What I dislike about Microsoft Entra ID is that it can feel overly complex for day-to-day tasks. Even simple changes often require too many clicks and too much menu-hopping. The portal’s layout and feature naming can also be confusing, especially when options move around or get renamed, which makes troubleshooting slower than it needs to be. Licensing is another frustration, since some genuinely useful features are locked behind higher-tier plans, and there isn’t clear in-product guidance about what’s included versus what you’re missing.
