I love the ease of use, but most especially dynamic audio insertion (DAI), which I believe to be the next great innovation for professional podcasts. With DAI, you can add audio segments across your entire catalog instantly. For example, I can sell an advertisement and drop that ad read across all of my episodes. In any given month, half my downloads come from catalog episodes, not newly released ones, and thus now I have a tool to monetize that other half of downloads through DAI.
I also like how easy it is to change show settings and plan out ad slots, and pulling the show over from my previous host was so easy I actually did it by accident. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is no real planning functionality for future episodes. I tend to record episodes a couple weeks ahead, and right now I use a Google sheet to plan out my coming weeks, who the guests are, episode titles, tags, sponsors, etc.
I'd love for that functionality to be embedded into Megaphone so my producer and I have a central source of truth for the podcast. I've tried creating draft episodes in Megaphone, but it's a more complicated process than just editing a spreadsheet, so we stopped doing that last year and went back to the spreadsheet.
