As someone who needs to retain control over my web environment, whilst also needing a simple and effective way of integrating a podcasting solution at a low cost point, Castos is my thing. Integrating Castos and Wordpress is a 5 minute job. You can add episodes in Wordpress and have it automatically synced with your Castos account, and to all the podcast services you sign up to. The process of sending your podcast to third party apps is a breeze, and they seem to update within an hour of uploading a new podcast. All the metadata you need for your podcast (length, recording date and size) are automatically added by Castos, saving you more time and effort. There's no need to constantly reload pages to get they synced / changed edition, it's all added on their end instantly. **What do you dislike about Castos?** It would be useful to have transcriptions fed back directly into Wordpress, rather than having to log into the Castos interface to download. It would also be useful to update share links to include BlueSky. **What problems is Castos solving and how is that benefiting you?** Castos makes podcasting and distributing a breeze. But I resolve that but simply using my fully controlled feeds to distribute the podcasts myself. **Recommendations to others considering Castos:** If you have only one podcast with NO plans of launching another, then using either publishing through castos or Wordpress as you choose. If you are planning on doing multiple show, think twice before using the publish through Wordpress feature. that is the way I went, and I love it, but I made the mistake of using a website when I began that was only made for the one show. When you go to add a second show it will still be attached to the website of the first show. I had to switch sites and that's where it got complex. However, their support is great and super responsive. I STRONGLY recommend castos to anyone looking to launch a podcast. **What problems is Castos solving and how is that benefiting you?** I've been able to take a Podcast network from concept to reality with little difficulty using Castos, and their proprietary plugin that helps to update the hosting as you add the audio to posts and whatever else you chose to publish. ### 31. It is very easy to navigate so I can get things done in a time-efficient manner. I can go directly to one of my podcasts and edit on an as-needed basis without any grief or aggravation. Editing support content is relatively easy and painless. Castos allows you to import content from a WordPress post which certainly expedites the process. You can add backlinks to your text-based content which is always a good thing. I like the company. They are very easy to work with and have very fair billing rates. As long as you list the other platforms with the appropriate URLs, Castos automatically exports your podcast. Nearly all my listens come from generic web browsers, but my website analytics show that not many people are listening directly from the website, so I'm not sure where those listens are occurring. Additionally, you can't see how many unique listeners (e.g. repeat downloaders) vs new listeners you're getting, and you can't track listeners through episodes. A friend using BuzzSprout gets these kinds of data so I know it's possible from a podcast host. **Recommendations to others considering Castos:** Definitely take a look at it!
