Unread messages are reported from the web app, mobile app, or desktop. The instant messaging system is generally easy to manage and has some fun aspects. In addition to this MangoApps has many features such as thread creation, wikis, document versions, image and video previews, mentions and tags, group management, chat functionality and badges, all this makes it the ideal tool for our company. **What do you dislike about MangoApps?** There's nothing I don't like so far, I would suggest being able to develop a contact list and have different groups for people I need to chat with regularly so I don't have to search for them. **What problems is MangoApps solving and how is that benefiting you?** MangoApps improves teamwork and communication by reducing dependence on email and giving us more control over the company's history and filing system. It includes all the security measures we need and a dashboard made up of customizable widgets that acts as a single source of truth. ### 2. It is the number one reason, although there are many reasons, I recommend you to others. **What do you dislike about MangoApps?** Originally, I would say that would have to be the search feature. With that being said, this is not the case now. MangoApps continually improves on features and adds customer requests and this was one of them for us. The search feature has greatly improved since we first implemented this intranet platform. Yay MangoApps! **Recommendations to others considering MangoApps:** Since the start of our implementation of MangoApps as our intranet platform, I have been thrilled with the ease of use in creating a personalized space for our internal staff. As a managing admin of the platform, I like the user-friendly management side of the domain. There are so many options to turn on and off features as you prefer, and plenty of tutorials to utilize features without having an in-person training. With that being said, I’m always happy to meet up with our dedicated customer success manager for monthly catchups and updates on what is new and exciting. The MangoApps team is one of the best support teams I have ever worked with. It is the number one reason I would recommend them. Their support portal, one-on-one meetings, and quick response times for questions or problems is five stars for me. They can catch up on the latest news and updates daily, they can find fun photos we share and positive notes to one another. I can't think of a better way to start the workday. The benefit of catching up daily on news for our staff has reduced wasted time sifting through information that is not relevant to their particular team or group. Staff select the portals that are important to them so that they get what they need and only that. ### 3. I love that it is a one-stop shop for everything in the realm of employee experience - internal comms, recognition, engagement, team building, onboarding, etc. and it makes our processes super efficient with all of the integration and automation tools! **What do you dislike about MangoApps?** The downside to having so many features is there are also so many things to learn and it can be overwhelming. Most of it is intuitive but still takes time to go through. It has an exemplary user interface, is modern and intuitive, and makes it easier and faster for end users to adapt to the software. MangoApps allows you to create groups for staff to interact in a way they don't usually do; likewise, the creation of the groups has been beneficial in expanding internal communication, distributing information and sales, figures discussing progress in the projects of each work team, conduct surveys, questionnaires and forms and more. It also has a wiki section that has allowed staff to contribute to creating and maintaining a shared documentation base. **What do you dislike about MangoApps?** It is customizable, but it should be noted that too many customizations could overwhelm edits. It is not as easy to post cross-cutting questions between groups. **What problems is MangoApps solving and how is that benefiting you?** MangoApps has helped us noticeably improve communications inside and outside the organization, have a better flow of information, share sales and project data quickly, and establish a sound knowledge base through its wiki section. We may discover other people with the same interest, share content, ask questions, send surveys, and react to content posted by other people. It is very easy to use and customizable. It works for teams of all sizes and has all the necessary security features. **What do you dislike about MangoApps?** It is not easy to post cross-cutting questions or updates between groups. A lot of content needs to end up in a single group, missing out on some opportunity to reach a larger audience. It is intuitive and what I like most is the ease with which I can send and receive content, documents, surveys, content feedback, chats, forms and more, it really has many resources and also has a very good wiki module to contribute to knowledge bases and shared documentation. **What do you dislike about MangoApps?** There are still things that need a little improvement, for example the notification system is not very descriptive and the chat does not support GIFs, which could make it more dynamic. **Recommendations to others considering MangoApps:** Recommended, it is excellent for complementing communication, sharing content and internal support especially remotely. They use their own system to create an easily accessible service portal, and the response times for questions or development issues is stellar. I have direct access to their team in India to get questions answered and get help when I need it. I couldn't be more pleased - both with the capabilities of the system and the service and support I get from the company. **What do you dislike about MangoApps?** We had an issue with one tech developer who wasn't up to par, but I was pleased that management was responsive and removed him from my support team right away when I complained. The platform offers a good photo library but doesn't yet allow captions with images in that library setup; I have made a request and they are putting it in their development pipeline. There was a glitch with the latest release (15.6) that caused a little downtime but that was resolved quickly. Overall, I am highly satisfied with both the platform and the company's service model and employees. **What problems is MangoApps solving and how is that benefiting you?** MangoApps has quickly become the "single source of truth" for our company's internal operations. It gives us a one-stop-shop for everything from benefits and finance information to marketing collateral and a portal for employees to share up to the minute news and information about current tax law. Information flows much more freely around the firm, our grapevine is squelched because information is visible and transparent, and people aren't fielding calls all the time asking "where is X brochure, X file, X form"? The tracker module also offers a dynamic way to collect information both internally and externally for a variety of project purposes. MangoApps also strikes the right balance between the frenetic noise of contemporary platforms like Slack and the more boring, static HTML-based intranet platforms of yesteryear. Instead the flow of information is directed in more purposeful, if slower, pace, which allows users to absorb and easily find the information they need, when they need it. **What do you dislike about MangoApps?** The notifications function is slightly over-engineered and has been a pain point for our newer users who opt-out entirely rather than invest the time it takes to get a fully customized notification experience. There are also little bumps and bugs throughout the system we run into on sporadic basis, however, I will compliment the dev team for resolving issues in a timely, well-organized way, and communicating proactively to set expectations on when things will be fixed and how. **Recommendations to others considering MangoApps:** Clearly identify who your information stakeholders are within the organization and make sure they "buy in" to the work it will take to mount some baseline content to the site, so that the launch will provide a good initial value to the basic users. Admin level training for all these stakeholders and their teams is a MUST for a successful launch. **What problems is MangoApps solving and how is that benefiting you?** There is still very low user adoption from our older users (meaning those who were with us from our launch), because our implementation was fairly quick and not as well coordinated as it should have been internally. I think the level of engagement needed to rollout was understated so we still fight the perception that the platform is "ok, but not a necessity" to those who are laggards. On the flip side, we have seen a really great uptick since COVID-19 created a greater need for digital communications generally. That coupled with the continuous improvements on the platform, we have seen a great growth in engagement, better content from our users, and more investment from our leadership teams. ### 13. Its a very effective tool for us to be in constant contact with our team, a place to house important information, send out updates, do polls, and many many other things. We use it almost as a company facebook, and its made our teams priorities more aligned and fine tuned. Building your company page is a long and challenging task, but mangoapps is in the trenches with you guiding you step by step to create something that becomes a massive asset to your team. We have a company of over 150 employees spanning over multiple states. With mangoapps we can effectively communicate what w need everyone to know on a clear and solid platform our team enjoys using. The benefits we notice is everyone is on the same page, and knows where to go when they have a question. The mangoapps offers everything you need to keep your company up to date and running smoothly. ### 17. In addition, the customer service is consistently far above average. **What do you dislike about MangoApps?** Getting universal buy-in from our colleagues has been a struggle. Roughly half of them sign in with some degree of regularity, mostly to check the news feed -- which we updated multiple times a day as a "carrot" to keep our workforce coming back for more. But we're still trying to figure out how to win over the other half. **What problems is MangoApps solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest benefit has been the ability to keep our workforce updated in a timely fashion not just on day-to-day organizational news but also on emergency situations, such as when our organization was recently affected by Hurricane Ida. While many of our colleagues were without power for days, they could stay in touch with Mango apps. As far as problem-solving, we've recently turned our attention to replacing our increasingly creaky, decade-old intranet with Mango, which -- when the project is completed -- will give our workforce the ability to access vital organizational information remotely, including policies, procedures, HR items, news updates and more. ### 19. It's primary use is for internal facing intranet purposes, and most of the examples our customer support specialist showed us were related to that use case, but I was able to turn it into a collaboration space for a multi-year, cross-organizational project with relative ease. They also do a fantastic job applying branding to the space, and their tech support team is incredibly responsive, effective and friendly. It's also the best value I found across the market of similar competitors offering the same services (file sharing, calendar management, online collaboration and social functions), and their sales department is really fantastic to work with. On the tech side, I really liked the privacy/permission settings, it made it very easy to customize views and protect certain documents. I also think their templates and page builders were accessible and user-friendly. **What do you dislike about MangoApps?** If you are hoping to use the space with external partners who don't have an O365 license, as of right now, I don't think Mango is a good option for file collaboration and co-editing documents. On the Admin side, be prepared for an absolute maze of options in the Admin portal, the tradeoff for having so much customization is losing some of that ease of navigation you find w/ Basecamp or similar options. Additionally, I think success with the platform really depends on the Customer Success Manager you are assigned. Our first manager was pretty horrible, but as soon as we were paired with a competent person, I experienced a total 180 in my use of the platform and the resolution of issues I'd previously been told were "unsolvable."
