It allows me the flexibility to choose what works best for my organization, which greatly enhances our operational efficiency. With a staff of 150, we can seamlessly share cases among team members over time, ensuring everything remains secure and organized. Unlike traditional spreadsheets, LegalServer maintains the integrity of our data, and its capability to store data, documents, and emails all in one place is incredibly beneficial. This integration simplifies our workflow and supports our mission to provide legal help to immigrants and their families. The platform's comprehensive, robust nature has led me to rate it a perfect 10 in terms of recommending it to others. **What do you dislike about LegalServer?** I don't have a good way to save the information about the pro bono attorneys (who are not in our organization, they are volunteers). I have to use another platform (Every Action) for that. I'm not sure how information about volunteers could be saved. It would fall under Volunteer Management. **What problems is LegalServer solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use LegalServer to securely track and manage cases, sharing data across our team effectively, centralizing documents, and choosing adaptable features for our non-profit's needs. ### 2. I liked that I could send an e-mail to the case file and it would copy that e-mail to the case file rather than me having to copy and paste it in. **What do you dislike about LegalServer?** This application is not user friendly. The search system required exact spelling of clients name to have it appear. Layout was not always apparent and provided some problems. The application would go down pretty often and would cause a delay in work. Documents could only be uploaded one at a time and would cause the site to crash or freeze a lot. **What problems is LegalServer solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's free, so it provided us, a non-profit, a secure platform to manage our cases in. We were able to log our time spent on the case and upload documents or notes related to the case. Helped the agency go paperless. **Official Response from Aaron Krause:** > Each LegalServer instance is customized for optimal usability and saving the users time. The layout and configuration is made from the direction of the organization using the system with most changes controlled by the onsite administrator without having to write software code or contact us. We take uptime very seriously. We contract for 99.5% availability, with many sites rarely experiencing downtime during working business hours. As a web-based application, any latency issues are due to the users internet connection. ### 5. I often direct my interns to these resources to help them learn the administrative side and the user side of LegalServer. **What do you dislike about LegalServer?** Sometimes it's hard to keep up with all the new development. But this is a good problem. **What problems is LegalServer solving and how is that benefiting you?** LegalServer is a robust and flexible case management system. We use it to track our case work, client information, time records, grants, outcomes, and more. ### 6. Some of the interfaces (like referrals) are confusing. **What problems is LegalServer solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed a service to organize clients, keep time, and assist with grant management.
