Getting up and running with Leapwork is extremely easy. It is able to address a wide range of testing scenarious. The product is very well thought making great use of technics like colour coding to enhance useabilty and abstract complexity. I love that its native plugin is much faster than selenium
Its fully featured and able to address almost every automation situation without any requiring code. It's visual encapsulation of programatic blocks makes addressing complex automation challeges far easier with a wider scope. In some respects it like a Lego solution for software automation.
It has a wide variety of integration with main stream business software such as Azure Dev Ops and Office. Leapwork is very tester oriented so it maps well to knowledge of users familiar with testing methodology. This also supports users with a devops and coding background organise testing and develop strategies approreately.
Implimentation is robust and and straightforward. Leapwork is highly scaleable for many users.
Customer support is excellent. Problems are nearly always resolved directly via chat or with in 24hours. Excellent owner ship of complex issues when they arise.
Leapwork is a go to daily tool for a test team which needs to automate. I like that the company has continued to the automation landscape like use of AI and Mobile testing while maintaining a consistent UI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The biggest downside is its easy of adoption! Just like lego there is a range of sophistication. This can easily lead businesses to underestimate the inherent challenge of automated testing and trying to run before they can walk. Especially for complex products with many stake holders such as D365. Leapwork is very powerful tool, yet still relies on good business planning and through knowledge testing best practice.
Some areas that would benfit from futher attention: Defaulting to the largest screen resolution for test recording can be frustrating during development if Dual screen resolution is miss matched. Tools for manging developement of long complex automated tests exceeding 5 mins could be enhanced. ie allowing sections of tests to be visually segregated (colapsed and expanded as well as being selected for execution as an IDE would allow. The log window shrinks too much when the test review window is expanded. It would be better if the test review window or Log windows were able to exist in their own window.
It would be helpful if Leapwork reported clearly on host infrastructure performance over time out of the box. Ideally Leapwork is hosted in a stable well managed infrastructure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Leapwork has changed the way our team handles automation in our retail environment, giving us both reliability and flexibility. The visual interface is intuitive, so building workflows is not only efficient but also really fun—and, to be honest, a bit addictive at times! I personally forget about the time alot while working with Leapwork.
We dont use Leapwork only for test cases, but also for automating certain recurring production tasks.
Overall the implementation and integration was easy with the available documentation and implementation support of Leapwork.
We had some minor issues, but customer support was able to help quickly and guide us in the right direction.
Working with Leapwork is part of our daily routine and workload. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly, there is not much to dislike about Leapwork. If anything, it’s so engaging that you might find yourself spending more time than planned building workflows because it’s just that enjoyable! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm a QA manager, and my team has been utilizing Leapwork for four years. None of my QA testers had experience with automation before purchasing this product. Through the helpful tutorials provided by Leapwork my team quickly learned how to automate both windows and web apps with a minimal learning curve. This has been a game changer for a small QA team to be able to automate apps and alleviate the need to test every function manually. I would have to say though that were Leapwork also stands out is its technical support team. They are not only super fast to respond via a simple chat, but their knowledge of the system is amazing. Even after a call is complete, they will send you a knowledge base article or video link to further assist you in the area you were discussing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I believe this product might be missing is the ability to add security to folders so that if you have multiple teams utilizing the product, one team can't overwrite another team's code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The easy-to-understand visuals. You can do anything you can think of. We have used it for 24/7 testing and pipeline testing and it works great.
The integration with our CI/CD pipelines was very easy.
The support is exactly what I expected as a German customer.
Implementing new tests is much easier than with other tools we have tried. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If we want to increase the number of parallel tests, we have to buy more licences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It helps us to automate and shorten our regression tests within the business to make our route to production more efficient. Some of our regression tests include steps taken over several days for some processes when executed manually.
It has helped to embed test automation into our wider test processes and strategy.
Leapwork are always on hand to support when needed whether this be installation support or general queries around the product and processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our team are happy with all the features of the product that are used by us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Automate processes that do not require human intervension Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
With every update on DOM the leapwork flow would need to be continuesly updated and maintain. In one way it helps to understand changes but also requires hand-on support in such situations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Leapwork is excellent tool to rapidly replace manual repetative tasks with an automated soluton, it works across a range of applications from websites to windows applications. It has lots of great features and can integrate to multiple systems (databases, api services etc.. easily).
We have used Leapwork to remove admin burden from our customer services and claims teams. We have also used Leapwork to perform basic daily checks to ensure our systems are operational.
We have also started to use Leapwork to automate our regression testing, which has started to remove manual effort from the testing process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The slight issue we have experienced is whena google chromium engine update is performed our flows can stop working until we manually update the chromium component. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We are using Leapwork as an critical production application for a checking all other production systems everyday instead of using it as a test automation tool. We have automated more than 1500 checks and scheduled them to run seamlessly across different production systems. It is really easy to create the flows, saves time and effort and really good UI to support every configuration. Efficient way to automate your checks or to use it as a check tool which is realiable. Several things I like to see improved as for our usecase (Since we use and treat the tool as a production system)
1. Like to see a good and quick response support team.
2. Posibility to automate the deployment of the tool. Currently there are several issues like, when doing a installation we have to get the license key manually, need to enable https manually. These things need to be fixed Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Leapwork's drag-and-drop interface is a joy to use. Building automation flows feels like piecing together a logical puzzle, making it accessible even for non-programmers. Onboarding was really easy. I was up and running with basic automation within a day. The platform is well-documented, and the learning resources are excellent for both beginners and experienced users. Even though the user interface is easy to use, Leapwork packs a punch with features like data-driven testing, cross-browser compatibility, and integrations with popular CI/CD tools. It can handle complex scenarios without breaking a sweat. Also the visual nature of the platform makes it easy to share and collaborate on automation flows with team members, regardless of their technical background. The Customer Support is really friendly and helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While the visual flow makes it easy to understand the logic, debugging errors can sometimes be a bit challenging. More detailed error messages would be helpful. If flows get very complex it might be challenging to navigate through the flows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What makes Leapwork stand out is the powerful array of web, mobile, desktop, OCR, and many more functions that are easy to learn for those with no prior coding knowledge. Leapwork's ability to parametrize commonly used operations (sub-flows), locator strategies, and excellent variable scoping allows the user to automate even the most complex applications and seamlessly drive testing across different environments and/or versions of your software. We have been able to integrate Leapwork with our TeamCity pipeline to run hours of automated regression tests on a nightly basis for our latest code base, helping us catch bugs even quicker. The Leapwork support team is also incredibly responsive and more than happy to screenshare with you to figure out any issues. Because Leapwork has been so powerful and easy to use, we've realized a return on investment much sooner than anticipated! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One thing I would like to see improved is the ability to automatically rerun flows that have failed as part of a run list. Some of our failures turn out to be very minor/flaky things that don't happen after re-running. It would be great to have the option of automatically re-running failures X number of times. Additionally, we've encountered scenarios where agents in the run list are being held up by some flows that take longer to run or are stuck in some sort of loop. In these cases, Agent A is taking very long or stuck in some loop while many other flows that have been assigned to Agent A cannot be started because Agent A is stuck. It would be great to have an agent distribution method that dynamically allocates agents as they become available instead of assigning an agent to each flow before starting each step in a schedule. For example, each step in a run list would reserve Agents 1-10 prior to starting the step, but within each step Agents 1-10 will be assigned to whatever flow is ready in that moment. It won't assign Agents 1-10 prior to starting the step. Another small pain point for us is identifying reports and videos. Having multiple teams that work off one controller, it's currently not possible to separate reports by team. All reports are dumped into the same central location and are not titled by the name of the schedule/run list/flow, so it's nearly impossible to find relevant run videos if you have a lot of flows in your run list.
