Kenjo is workforce management software for SMEs with deskless and shift-based teams — built for logistics, healthcare, retail, and services where most of the work happens on the floor, not at a desk. Most teams in this space are still running shifts on Excel or a whiteboard. Kenjo replaces that with a system that actually fits the work: build and publish shift plans, track hours automatically, manage absences, and prep payroll — all without the manual re-keying. The mobile app means frontline employees clock in, swap shifts, and check schedules from their phones, so managers stop fielding WhatsApp messages about rotas. **What do you like best about Kenjo?**

I use Kenjo for our Berlin production firm’s HR administration because it excels in centralizing shift scheduling for on-location shoots, German payroll calculation, and mandatory working hour logs. I love how Kenjo’s Germany-tailored payroll and working-hour tracking is invaluable for our film crews. It auto-calculates overtime for night shoots and location-based allowances compliant with German labor rules, digital contract archiving lets me cross-reference employment documents with talent release forms quickly, which speeds up GDPR and MStV compliance checks. The automatic calculation of shift surcharges, location per diems, and logs of working hours according to German labor laws helps eliminate manual timesheet miscalculations, speeds up DATEV payroll handovers, and effortlessly generates official time records.

**What do you dislike about Kenjo?**

I find it tricky to separate fixed staff from day-rate camera contractors due to the lack of specialized freelance crew categorization for short-term production shoots. Its native reporting cannot directly merge HR records with our talent release documents, requiring manual exports for MStV media compliance audits. The mobile app also glitches occasionally when crew log hours remotely on outdoor Berlin filming sets.

**What problems is Kenjo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Kenjo for centralized HR administration, solving scattered documentation issues. It standardizes shift scheduling, German payroll, and working-hour logs, fixing payroll errors and expediting audits. Automated compliance and seamless report generation boost efficiency for managing film crews while adhering to German labor laws.

What I like most about Kenjo is the simplicity and the intuitive way it facilitates people management, making HR processes much faster and more organized.

**What do you dislike about Kenjo?**

What I like least about Kenjo is that some features could be more flexible and customizable to better adapt to different types of companies.

**What problems is Kenjo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kenjo solves the problem of disorganized and manual HR processes, such as managing vacations, absences, and employee data. It benefits me by saving time, reducing administrative errors, and centralizing all personnel information in a single system, making management much more efficient.

Sometimes it isn't easy to understand where to find all the data.
The documents sometimes are not easy to download.

There is all my information, my contract, my payslip document.

The ease of consulting all documents: contracts, pay slips, vacation management... A very useful platform for HR organization.

**What do you dislike about Kenjo?**

At this moment, nothing to point out. A tool that, in my use, does not present negative points.

**What problems is Kenjo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It made access to the documents I previously listed much more agile. Previously, sending RV was done individually for each employee, making the process very time-consuming and prone to errors.

1. Employee Information Management: Allows for the storage and management of employee data, including personal and contact information, job information, and salary and benefits information.
2. Payroll and Tax Management: Automates payroll processes, including calculating taxes and deductions and generating paychecks or direct deposit transactions.
3. Benefits Administration: Allows employees to enroll in benefits, manage their benefits elections, and track their benefits usage.

**What do you dislike about Kenjo?**

1. High cost: HRMS solutions can be expensive, especially for small and medium-sized businesses.

2. Implementation and customization: Implementing an HRMS can be a complex and time-consuming process, and it can also be expensive to customize the system to meet an organization's specific needs.

**What problems is Kenjo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Recruitment and onboarding: Kenjo has built-in tools for managing job postings, resumes, and applicant tracking, as well as onboarding and training processes.
2. Performance management: Kenjo has tools for setting goals, tracking performance, and conducting appraisals, which helps managers and employees to monitor their performance and set goals for the future.

**What do you like best about Kenjo?**

The option to choose by yourself the day of your vacation and the yo self upload any documents needed to be presented to the RH, without having to speak with no one.

**What do you dislike about Kenjo?**

So far nothing negative comes to mind, albeit I'm a new user, no bugs or undesired features were encountered and the front-end aspect of the page is well rounded and fully connected.

**Recommendations to others considering Kenjo:**

Just use it.

**What problems is Kenjo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As mentioned before, the fact that I don't need to speak with anyone regarding medical leaves and other types of griefsome leaves is a big plus for social anxiety folks like some.
