Your last-minute change question is the right stress test, because it's really asking whether the sync is event-driven or scheduled. A modification that lands between refreshes is the classic source of a guest getting the wrong arrival details, and that's a sync design question rather than an integration depth question. Touch Stay tying guidebooks to the reservation record is a good example of why the binding matters as much as the data flow, since the content follows the booking rather than a copy of it.
