i dont like most things about JW player. It's been a struggle getting used to it and it continues to surprise me with things not going well Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's difficult to distinguish between our different upload pages (we have 3 brands). The fact that I have to add my own source file name is ridiculous and repetitive Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
JW Player has many different analytics and insights tools, including total plays, average video complete rate, devices, and countries. This makes it easy for our team to assess what our users are resonating with and what they aren't. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The app is quite expensive to use if you use it to host large volumes of content like we do on our platform. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with my experience using JW Player. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its been a while since I had used JW Player, but, when I started at Ranker we did use it. It was interesting to use it to push videos out to various outlets / RSS feds, but, ultimately, Ranker did decide to stop using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface was a bit clunky in cofiguring feeds etc. It worked, but, the user interface took some figureing - we used it to push out videos to MAZ in conjunction with a Roku (OTT) channel we had at the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At first we wanted to find only one solution to be able to insert videos on web pages, in this search for alternatives we have JW Player, the first impression is that it was easy to use, everything was neat and without any visible distractions in the player. Another feature within this facility that I indicate to you is how flexible it was to complete the integration process to the central CMS that we use, everything is unified so as not to use extra programs. In general, what I could say about JW Player is that on our part it is generally approved, with good technology, and it is important to make use of everything that the player offers, such as its analysis or ROI monitoring, so that the application strengthens your work. I would say that their video management is still somewhat poor, what they offer is completely efficient that I must say, but I would like to have multichannel publishing or audience segmentation, unless they offer this in more advanced payment plans, but it is non-existent and I see no signs of integrating these or other valuable features. I had a rather intriguing mishap, since in some of our video it began to report an error at the time of playback, this error pointed to the video as if it was damaged, of course the first thing we did was validate the status on the video platform and it was completely fine, it was not damaged, we tried to contact customer service, and they did not give us any effective solution, so on our own we decided to download and upload the same video again, and it was solved, this made us see that the problem had it the software. What's to like if they will silence one of America's favorite media outlets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
They canceled the PragerU video hosting. Do not support this left leaning platform. They think choosing sides is a smart business decision. Go woke and go broke. Time for all of us to wake up and shut down the cancel culture and censorship of the Left. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love how intuitive the website is. They just updated it so you can now tag videos straight from the home page. That and other new upgrades really make it user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
