Payroll is easy to process, and PTO is easy to manage. They have good online resources for HR management. Periodic newsletter emails are actually very helpful in making us aware of federal and state regulations, especially for a small business that doesn't have a dedicated HR team. Customer Support is responsive and courteous. **What do you dislike about Justworks?** Justworks is like a typical PEO after the "honeymoon phase" of being a client: if you are too small, service will get scaled back. Six months after we signed up, we were pushed out of its medical plans (citing 3x premium increases) and steered to their outside broker/Covered CA. One of the reasons a small business signs up with a PEO in the first place is to be able to take advantage of large group healthcare premiums. We still receive our dental, vision, life and other benefits through them, but it was disappointing to not be able to benefit from lower medical premium rates and the "one stop shop" of having Justworks provide everything we need (it's more work for us now as we are on different benefit years and dealing with outside entities). Also, we lost our dedicated account manager last spring. Various customer service reps have been very helpful, but it can get confusing when more than one person chimes in on a request or you are juggling multiple requests with them. For the very small business, just go in with your eyes wide open as to what the possibilities might be down the road - some of the burden may wind up back on you. **What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?** Handling all things payroll related, as well as providing and managing benefits. It was simple to implement, and does automate most tasks like payroll and 401k. Great tech for the price but you get what you pay for; mostly everything is self service after implemenation. **What do you dislike about Justworks?** After on-boarding there is absolutely no proactive service outreach. The time tracking tool is difficult becuase it does not show pending, already approved time off in the requests which can case approval without sufficient balances. There is no performance management module whatsoever, and benefit renewals is completely on your own. They send email reminders but there is no outreach from a benefits expert to help facilitate the renewal process. **What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?** Automates payroll, taxes and 401k. Because of the PEO we are able to offer excellent benefits to our employees that are cost-effective as compared to purchasing on the open market. ### 29. As an outsourced provider of accounting and payroll support to nonprofits, we have tried just about every PEO out there. Our number 1 choice is always Justworks - we love it so much we even moved our firm from a traditional payroll processor to JW! They guided us personally and professionally every step of the way during onboarding and implementation. Their support is incredibly responsive. We integrated their system with our other internal processes and apps with no fuss. The platform is easy to use, clear, and highly transparent in terms of costs. We live in Justworks every day and couldn't be happier that we do! **What do you dislike about Justworks?** The reporting is not as flexible as we'd like it to be, but they are constantly improving that. We also wish for a better selection of physical fitness/wellness offerings. **What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?** See review, but we now advise all our clients to use the Justworks PEO offering when a company has a remote team or locations in multiple states. Traditional payroll processors do not support compliance with local and state regulations well, if they do it at all. (And we have tried many of them, all with frustrating results when there's more than 1 state involved.) We've also been incredibly and consistently impressed with the benefits selection available across all 50 states. The renewal rates have been lower than competitors, and the quality of the plans remains the same from year to year. We love everything about Justworks! ### 30. Customer service is usually responsive. I appreciate the expense tracking and reimbursement tools and process. **What do you dislike about Justworks?** I wish I would have known how manual the unpaid owner process is. This wasn't made clear during the sales process. Onboarding was clunky as a result and it took us a few months to get the process right. It doesn't seem like everyone at Justworks is familiar with unpaid owners so guidance was limited and sometimes it is difficult to get a correct answer. I was also disappointed when a new local tax was added and Justworks wasn't able to explain to me what it was or where it came from without several weeks of research. **What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am solely responsible for HR, payroll and benefits with no prior experience or training as a result of a signifant organizational change. I am more comfortable that things are being done correct with Justworks support. ### 31. The support team is also good. The portal has a lot of info and basically what you need. The selections for employees are easy to follow. **What do you dislike about Justworks?** Not easy to navigate to different pages. When I go into an employee page, it should list a summary of all their benefits - it doesn't so I have to go into each benefit and see if the employee is listed. Not convenient. For PTO approvals, when I click on an employee name, it should go to their main page with all info. If an employee has several PTO requests, when I approve one, there is no button to go to back to the list of requests. In general the ease of getting around is a 6/10. It would be helpful if JW offered an HR support service to advise about employee rights, employer rights, etc. When we were with TriNet, they had a team of HR experts that not only provided advice but they also improved our letters when terminating employees. I now have to come up with PTO policies for the US that comply with state laws. It would be helpful if JW had a list of states and the standard requirement a company should consider for their Time Off policies ie. carryovers, accrual caps, sick days, etc. **What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?** cost effective benefits simple plans for employees ### 32.
