  ### 14. We're just getting started, but so far, so good!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Jenkins X?**

So far, we like the potential for adding to what we already have with Jenkins full implementation where our developers commit to master, and we deploy to production shortly after.

**What do you dislike about Jenkins X?**

We're a little concerned about the effort to convert our full pipelines to Jenkins-X. They are non-trivial, and we're not sure about the effort to convert cleanly. And no UI is currently a show stopper for our dev/and management teams. Hopefully the UI will be available by the time we figure out the migration from our current system.

**What problems is Jenkins X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I said, we're just getting started, but we're looking forward to lower costs at our provider (we spend a LOT keeping our current environment running for use.

  ### 15. We are evaluating Jenkins-X for our cloud workloads

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Jenkins X?**

Makes life so easy, minimal setup / configuration on the developer's machine, easy to get started and very intuitive as a process.

**What do you dislike about Jenkins X?**

Early days, waiting for more support apart from GCP, and AWS (coming up). We are eagerly waiting for more integrations.

**Recommendations to others considering Jenkins X:**

Eagerly waiting for more cloud integrations, including IBM Cloud.

**What problems is Jenkins X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GitOps is simply amazing and simple to adopt. Makes our lives easier, and Git as a source of truth helps a lot. More importantly, wanted to reduce the complexity of setting up of pipelines as we see more DevOps adoption in our organization

  ### 16. CI/CD for Kubernetes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Jenkins X?**

- easy to setup, and run "hello world" POC
- Preview Environments to run our integration tests for each Pull Request in isolation
- Gitops workflow
- integration of existing tools (helm, kaniko, ...)
- jx CLI
- easy to customize
- easy to contribute to
- support from the core devs in slack, and from the community

**What do you dislike about Jenkins X?**

very fast development, not easy to follow. What was the "best practice" and recommended way of doing things may well be deprecated a few months later, in favor of something else.

**Recommendations to others considering Jenkins X:**

Use it with Github and GKE - if you are deploying to Kubernetes

**What problems is Jenkins X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

as part of our migration to Kubernetes (GKE), we were looking for a CI/CD solution. We already used Jenkins previously, so Jenkins X was a very good solution for us because we could re-use our existing Jenkins knowledge and pipelines, while improving them with Preview Environments and continuous delivery/deployment, using a gitops workflow.

Our benefits are:
- much faster feedback, by running more integration tests in the preview environments as part of the Pull Request
- improved quality of our releases, also by running more integration tests as part of the PR
- faster deployment process
- everything is git, including deployments. full audit and visibility on everything

**What do you dislike about Jenkins X?**

Unfortunately does not support the ability to integrate with a wider range of tools.

**What problems is Jenkins X solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This has increase the ability to provide more performance in building and compiling applications by spreading the workload across a multitude of servers.
